I will write something about the vegan part of this video, and sorry if my English is not understandable. I think you should have at least talked to a vegan or made some proper research about some of the points you made. I know you think these are your opinions but some of them were caused by misinformations. And i'm saying this as a medical doctor whose been a vegan for years. I really wished you at least didn't use words like "it was proven" or something because it really wasn't. There is no real evidence against not eating any animal products leading to poor health if it is planned carefully. There are actually a lot of benefits too, meat is considered to be one of the leading causes of colon cancer. Also veganism isn't about trying to get animals getting killed in less hostile ways. It is about animals having a life to live however they want. I'm sorry if my English was bad or if I sounded rude, i didn't mean to.

I disagree. Sometimes “vegan” lifestyles can be more unhealthy and are worse for the planet. My father was vegan but was INSANELY unhealthy and died of a heart attack. Yes, it can be, be what veganism has become in the “current” day is lots of replacements for foods and random what not. Veganism also can be inaccessible for lots of people- money wise, food wise, etc. Especially for disabled people where it may be impossible or they may be only able to eat meat and a few other foods.

Given they've chosen to put themselves out on a public platform, it's sad they can't respect other people's beliefs/practices/needs/understanding, especially one that may be based on religious/cultural/medical/scientific reasons. 😞 For example, there are Korean Buddhists who eat a vegan diet called "temple cuisine". Other vegans can include American Seventh Day Adventists, Jamaican Rastafarians, and Indian Jains/Hindus/Buddhists. About 68% of the world's population is lactose intolerant, while the rate in African Americans and Asians is as high as 75-95%. People can also be allergic to other animal products, with eggs being listed as one of the most common allergens. Scientific research proves that a plant-based diet is better for human health and environmental conservation. As a result, many prestigious schools have chosen to serve vegan food on campus, including the University of Cambridge. KZbinrs should feel a responsibility to share accurate information and model decent behavior, instead of spreading unwarranted slurs and encouraging blind negativity. 🙂

That vegan girl Joel mentioned is why we get such a bad rep even when many vegans aren't like that, but unfortunately they are a VERY loud minority. Being in vegan spaces (like a Insta profile for vegan recipes) you get non-vegans who act the same way, belittling people for a choice that doesn't affect them. All groups of people have arseholes. I'm personally very lucky, whenever I go out with a group of people that know I'm vegan they always try to find a place I have options at even if I say I'll be okay not eating and just hanging out, it's really cute and I always try to reciprocate the same level of care for them in other ways. So while I don't expect it you always have extra appreciation for those people. My non vegan friend actually found a vegan Korean place for us to both eat and the food was stunning! Personally I don't believe the studies that say we have to eat meat, they seem to come from a lot of bias. I was lactose intolerant before and then went vegan when I moved in with a flatmate who was since it felt like I was halfway there. I still have health issues but the way my symptoms lessened when I stopped eating meat! Every body is different and needs different things, just got to do your research on how to get what your body needs. Plus the irony of people calling me unhealthy for being vegan when they live exclusively on food like fries and nuggets is not lost on me....like no shame you do you but don't be a hypocrite haha! Also side note £ is pounds as in the UK currency and € is the symbol for euros 😊 (Sorry this turned long)

Hi, Aaron and Joel. We caught your recent discussion about us, and it sounds like you don’t actually know what we do or what we stand for. We invite you to visit our website to learn more about our work to help animals-including our recent investigative work in Korea exposing the country's deer velvet industry and an investigation into puppy mills. You might be surprised to see how much common ground we have. And if you have any questions about our work, let us know; we’re happy to clarify anything for you. Kind regards, PETA Asia

In addition to how this podcast affected listeners, these podcasters would be wise to consider how it might affect them. They may think it's cool to be “real” and “unfiltered”, but it could come back to haunt them. I have a degree in Marketing, so can see this podcast is a Public Relations disaster. *An objective listener could end up with these negative impressions:* 1. The podcasters have led limited lives with little experience of the world around them. 2. The podcasters are self-centered, and mostly care about their own convenience - one of their major complaints about veganism is that it makes them have to spend more time finding a restaurant. 3. The podcasters aren't good friends - if vegans are in their friends-group, they'll try to exclude them. 4. The podcasters are vindictive - they're taking revenge on a woman who annoyed them when she told inconvenient truths that they preferred to ignore. Maybe they don't have an agency to guide them now, but if they want some kind of career, they should pay attention to how they behave in public. Especially in Korea, where appearances are crucial. They may think it's okay to criticize vegans because they never met any with power, but there are famous Korean and international celebrities who are vegan, as shown in these videos: *Why is going VEGAN becoming popular in Korea?* *10 Times CELEBS Spoke About VEGANISM*

for the food wasters content..i share a bit about food inequality. in some places there has been famine for years and there is ongoing war in this world where people are expelled from their homes and unable to receive aids and forced to eat equals to 270 calories per day (the normal one is around 2000 cals)...so let us not waste food and send them to people in need, homeless, food bank...i add some more, during covid students studied from home and in some places families were worried they couldnt serve lunch at home since they had been relying on lunch at school. not enough food at home. that was the situation.

I think what you meant by humans are supposed to consume meat(the ones that you read from here and there)was about vit.B12 and heme iron. Because those are things that are best sourced from animals. But too much heme iron can cause cancer too. Not to mention the environmental impact of farming animals.(greenhouse gas emission, pollution, diseases, etc). Other than that I think other vitamins and minerals can be sourced directly from plants. Because the animals also sourced it from plants as their foods. Many plants are richer in minerals than animals meat. For example Moringa,Spirulina,Chia seeds,Chlorella, many more. People become vegans because of compassion. Compassion to animals, environment, and to them selves. Do they have health risk too?Probably if they have problems with vit.B12 and non heme iron bioavailability. But even if you eat meat that doesn't mean that you will have no problem as eating meat also has its own problem and diseases. Does human needs meat?I will say yes,in moderate level amount. But how is moderate level"moderate"? Some people have no level of moderation and that caused them health problems. This is why in my religion, meat consumption is regulated under"halal and haram"law. There are terms and conditions for us to eat meat,if the meat is failed to meet such requirements, the meat will be forbidden to be eaten(haram). One of the conditions is that the animals should be treated well, not being tortured(not even being kicked),the knife should be sharp so the animals won't feel suffer. In terms of animals right to live,of course they want to live. But the law accomodate for human to consume the meat within boundaries(halal/haram rules). This way you can't just eat meat that you meet on store because you have to meet strict rules. And by this strict rules more or less protect the animals compared to when no rules at all. That is my pov. And btw I don't eat meat.. p.s: How do you differ between fake accounts, bots,or AI on your yt comments? I mean none knows so just don't bother it.

@@hyunybunny I can't say that I'm a vegan my self but I do eat plant based diets as I don't eat meat but I consume fish, eggs, and milk sometimes. I wish I could find alternatives for fish tho as there are free range chickens for eggs products. And I don't opt for cow milk in general. As for the youtubers,I don't speak for them but it's hard to speak our opinion about something that pleases the whole people. I think maybe for some sensitive issues that involve humanity, maybe they can give 2 sides point of views. Such as"We read that this is A,but there are also B and C opinions. So our opinion is this and this is only our personal opinion. We don't reccomend other people to have the same opinion as us". And yes I know about other religions who appreciate all living being's lives so dearly. My opinion above is my pov as a moslem who have been eating plant based diets/vegetarian for the sake of compassion. Strict rules in Islam regarding meat consumption is actually to keep a balance between animals right and the need of human to eat meat in certain cases. If a moslem obbey the rules so they won't eat meat easily unless it's a halal meat. But unluckily many moslems just don't know the points behind strict rules in halal haram. Most of them don't think that it's to prevent them to eat meat easily. Nice to know you btw! ;) XxOo

@@Linzey9 Nice to meet you! 😊 It's impressive that you've done research on this topic, and are thoughtful enough to share that information. Personal opinions are valid on subjective issues. But veganism is supported by objective criteria such as a long history in many cultures, medical studies, and scientific evidence. Nobody is forcing everyone to become vegan, but rational humans should be able to understand and respect the reasons why some do make that choice. Of course, it's still every person's right to have their own opinion (even if it's wrong). But when they communicate publicly, it can be misleading to others unless it's debunked by those with more knowledge. That's why KZbin has a system to report videos that are spreading misinformation. These KZbinrs were honest enough to admit in their own words that they're not well informed about veganism. They mentioned reading anti-vegan things that are “scientifically proven”, but respected scientists don't agree with those theories. @@hyunybunny Can't believe that someone deleted or reported my previous comment to you. I'll try to rewrite to see how democratic people are. I didn't do research for the sake of commenting here only. It's just something that I know since long time ago. Maybe for that heme iron topic only as I got lack of vit. B12. Thanks for the vid reccomendations,I'll try to watch it later :) Now this is what I want to share with people here since the act of consuming something related closely to how the future of human being and this planet will be. What I wrote above is how WE moslems have our law called halal/haram. We are not allowed to eat meat where the animals were treated bad before being killed(not even being kicked). The knife should be sharp so the animals won't feel pain. The butcher should pray in islamic prayers which means in general moslems can't just eat meat easily! We are also forbidden to eat carnivores, poisonous animals, amphibian, and pork. For carnivores and poisonous animals, that is because the act of consuming them will require the act of farming them. As both of those kind of animals are dangerous so of course we can't farm them. There was a case in China where a snake farm's security has broken and the snakes went to neighbouring villages. We are forbidden to eat amphibian as they live in both water and land so the animals face cruelty the most as it's hard to "kill"them in non cruelty way. As for pork, pig has both avian and human receptors making it a mixing vessel for viruses in both human and avian. Pig also has similarity with human DNA 98%,so if we consume them means we have to farm them just imagine we literally breed lots of mixing vessel for human diseases! In all,you see consuming animals define what human disease and environmental impact in the future will be. The youtubers are both intellectuals and curious so it's a good thing to have discussion with ;) Have a fun day!🍒

I think when generalizations are made on any topic, it makes it easier for those with differing opinions to bring up the special cases just to prove their point and show how your opinion is "wrong". @@hyunybunny i got your point...But you see, social platforms are community oriented. You will also find videos where vegan say offen*ive things about non veg peeps which can h*rt their beliefs as well. and obviously both animals and plants are living beings but thats another topic. My point is Podcast is where people share their raw unfiltered opinions on things ...open discussions..that does not mean that they are trying to disrespect anybody's belief..atleast not Aron (and Joel)...we cannot control other's opinions/beliefs.. which means there will be opinions that might sound interesting, rude, right, wrong, disrespectful, etc..in the mind of the viewer....those who are interested in vegan/non vegan life ..should find the right sources to refer to or seek advice from experts, thought leaders, doctors anyway..not podcasts..it is for opinions/ reviews biased or not..depending on the creators..so it is not misleading... ...you get the point. @@AidaisLeo No problem - you expressed yourself well, and you didn't sound offensive. 😊 Of course both animals and plants are living beings, but it seems unequal to compare the suffering of a plant harvest to an animal slaughter. If you do consider them to be equal, then wouldn't a mathematical equation of deaths be: *1 animal to feed non-vegans + all the plants that animal ate during its entire lifetime > fewer plants to feed vegans* I'd be curious to know where you found videos of vegans saying similar things like they want to ostracize and discriminate against non-vegans by not inviting them to events, simply because of their diet (which could be based on religion/nationality for vegans). Everyone has an opinion, but when sharing it publicly, free speech shouldn't turn into hate speech, which is something that is rightfully controlled by KZbin policies and government laws. A discussion expects that listeners can also share their opinions in reply, after which the podcasters have an opportunity to show whether they have an open-mind to reflect on that response. Ideally, people should only rely on experts. But in today's society, some people can be misled by podcasters, especially when those podcasters say that their opinion is “scientifically proven”. That's why it's become a civic duty to counter possible misinformation on social media, just like Community Notes do for tweets on X. P.S. Good for you for being mostly vegetarian. 😁 If you're interested to hear what experts say about the reason why Nature made us the way we are, you can watch this KZbin video: *THE GAME CHANGERS - Full Documentary [Adam Harries]*

I love you both, so don't change. Just keep being yourself. I enjoy the show as is & if someone doesn't like it, then they don't have to watch it. I agree a man shouldn't hit a women even if she might deserve it because she is psycho. Joel I have seen where a couple are going at it and someone intervene and the couple turned on that person, so just be careful of that. Aaron, I agree that some of the areas in the states have gone to shit, especially with stealing, drugs & no respect for anyone or anything.

about meat or animal-derived food...hmm i think we can learn directly from our amazing body, we are equipped with canines which function to mechanically digest meat or food with that kind of texture and there are 4 canines out of 32 teeth which gives us hint on how much meat to consume. in my faith in regards of what we eat and drink we have this "halal and thayyib" rule, these 2 words closest meaning to "lawful and ethical", halal or lawful means there are certain food and meat that we can and can not eat and for thayyib or ethical means even for the food/meat that we can eat we need to ensure the whole production process is ethical...for me trying to integrate these "lawful and ethical " values together encourages me to restrict eating meat/chicken from typical husbandry, choose free range chicken, buy local product, grow our own food etc.

It seems to me that the people who were mad about you guy's take on certain topics are in themselves the "uneducated" ones. They take things out of context when it goes without saying that you guys weren't referring to those who actually need meds for medical conditions, but those who use it as a shortcut simply because they can afford to, and in so doing rob those who actually need it. Likewise with the comedy. Comedy is clearly not for everyone, but on top of that, those who are quick to want to cancel comedians almost always have never listened to a full standup, but just a clip taken out of context. If at your big age you can't stand it when people have differing views from you, then this podcast is not for you. Simple. And if you are on the younger side, take this as a lesson that not everyone will agree with everything you believe, and vice versa- but know that that's totally fine. Anyways, love you guys and the pod. Keep it up, and don't compromise on your authenticity for anyone. ❤🤠

Joel and Aaron just do you coz there are always people who think they know so much in a given area coz perhaps they are in line of work of that area. However if you put that person in conversation with another person who also works in that area, they will have clashing opinions and yet they all tend to be so informed in that area. Then how about guys???? Just do and say what you think period. Those who think they are so informed on a particular topic. Just come in the comment section and give us facts by relaying that information you know on a given topic but you do so without insulting one's intelligence or castigating them for their opinions.

Some studies have shown that certain types of nutrients (like vitamin B12 and creatine) can only be found in meat. Vegans need to take those as supplements but the supplements cannot replace entirely the quantity necessary for the human body to healthily function. And the effects are shown after a few years of having that lifestyle. Some doctors (the ones that focus on digestive problems or other related issues to what you eat) and nutritionists speak about this issue. Also to keep in mind, some humans are vegetarians/vegans because their bodies don't have a certain protein necessary to digest meat but this is a small number out of all people with this lifestyle. Ps: humans are not just only omnivorous, they are mammals. So the laws of nature world food chain still applies to us. Main issue is more the fact humans take more than they need from this ecosystem. Plus, in some countries are actual regulations to diminish this waste and to assure that animals don't feel pain at the end.
