I like the Loops and Threads Faux Fur yarn much more than the Big Twist. It is also 3 held together but I have never had any issues taking it a part and turning it into 3 balls. It is also 56 yarda. It retails for $9.99 a skein. Much easier to work with then then the Big Twist fur. I love Big twist posh and plush. They are great for making amigurumi even if limited on colors. I would also love to see a macrame video. I have considered trying it, but I am a knitter and crocheter and teach both as a 2nd job. I am a history teacher, so I have to have a 2nd job to make ends meet. But it is the best 2nd job ever. Also thank you for giving people a safe place to talk about the issues and feelings they are experiencing right now. I hope that things aren't going to be as bad as they look to be heading.

I made a blanket for my son from I am guessing the Lion Brand fur yarn. Some of my adventures in yarn have been him liking a yarn, (and he just wants the skein,) but I look at it as 'what can I make with that.' My son has a fur blanket that is heavy but so soft. I had a bit of trouble knitting the blanket, (it's striped,) and I forgot how many rows I was doing of each color, (just blue and white.) I can tell but not many others can. You could make a furry boa for your daughter(s). I think you said you have a daughter.?
@mommatina8295Ай бұрын
I am crocheting a "The Study of Planet Earth" blanket. Mikey created it, he is with "The Crochet Crowd" which is connected to "Yarnspiration." I'm using Mandala yarn by Lion Brand. I wish the yarn was thicker. I made this same blanket two other times this yarn clearing out my stash and making my own colorway. Those blanket will be warm solid looking. The Lion Brand yarn will drape nicely. Okay, too much information.

The way you’re describing this reminds me so much of the Loops and Thread fluffy yarn, and I HATED it. That one is also three strands, tough to work with, big, and really hard to separate the strands. My experience was a disaster. My fave I’ve tried so far is Premier little bunny. Haven’t tried the normal bunny from Premier, but I’d be curious to know how that one is to work with. Great video! Also, the election 😭

The worm turned out really cute in spite of the many, many flaws that yarn has lol As for size 7 yarns, i've worked with bernat blanket big, it recommends a size U hook or size 50 needles. It also only has 32 yards on a skein but i was able to make myself a 4' x 4' ish throw out of 4 skeins using size 17 needles (idk what the corresponding hook letter would be, but they're 12.75 mm) it's pretty much just an extra chunky version of the regular bernat blanket and only one of the skeins had a factory knot in it. all in all it was pretty nice to work with

@cinnamon2559Ай бұрын
Its pretty cute but i agree $10 for 37 yards 🫤its pretty thick so i guess you dont need a lot but with it being just so bulky i think you’d struggle even to use it as like a edging to a blanket or coat, and if it sheds that bad yikes. If they sold those individual strands it would be so much more versatile + youd get double the yardage for the same production cost
@TfwcrochetАй бұрын
With the amount of shedding I wouldn’t buy it again if it were thinner but it would at least be more usable.

Oh dear, even here encouraging meltdowns over politics. My grandmother hid in a barn when the first plane she ever saw flew over her farm. She lived through the disastrous Spanish flu, TWO world wars and the depression during which her family including her six children were rendered destitute. Many children died of scarlet fever every year, some of her family died of TB. There was no indoor heating or plumbing. Quite frankly I don't understand how they survived winters. The only social outings were a very annoying church every Sunday or family visits. When she was in her nineties I asked her the secret of her sunny disposition and longevity. She said she just enjoyed whatever she had and didn't worry. Bad things are always happening. What you focus on makes your life. Focus on love and joy and love and joy is multiplied. Lessons from a triumphant survivor.

My mom is also an exception of a person who can go through anything (including losing her husband to lewy body dementia) without needing to reach out for professional help. But most people aren't like that and that's ok. She's not "encouraging meltdowns," she's encouraging reaching out for help if you need it. It's bizarre that you think there's something wrong with that?
