The reason it doesn't need to run antivirus first is because it runs 'rkill'' which kills off any unnecessary processes. This will stop any viruses from running. The antivirus software it runs later on removes the infected files and fixes boot sectors etc.

As a more advanced user, I would rather use this than playing baby sitter. Certainly I could do each individual tool and there are some I could add for deep cleaning. However, it's not profitable when you have to keep checking on a system every 10 minutes. And by that, I don;t just mean money - I mean life. Personal time has a value.

Can you help please? Tron reaches stage 6 (optimization) and it started defrag of the c drive but its just stuck on 1%

I believe it uses windows defragmenter so it could take a while. You could leave it or just try to stop it and skip to the next step. If windows built in defragmenter does not work.. you can try something like defraggler instead

No it won’t. You just want to start it and let it run through. It will take a while. You’ll need to interact with a few apps, it tells you in the read me. But besides that it does everything on its own

That might work for a normal problem, but it won't for certain rootkits, RATS, and other such harmful things. Even if you reformat and install OS again it'll still be there in the boot menu after you start it up.

That's everything it downloaded on to his computer. Tron uses third party virus removal tools. You can download most of them for free, and run them one at a time. It will do basically the same thing without uninstalling a bunch of necessary drivers.
