I have Personal pride in this battle. I completely called Tai physically attacking Red. Tai fought Matt on several occasions because of simple disagreements. There's no way he wouldn't fight a kid he thought was his enemy if he saw that he was calling the shots.

Taichi (or Tai if you insist) is well known for joining the fight. Multiple times in the series he would pick up a metal pole and attack to buy Agumon some time, even being brave enough to attack a giant monster. Him punching Red is the most in-character thing to ever happen on Death Battle.

Randy Johnson I've noticed a trope with Pokemon fans: If a hater appears, and ignorant of any relation to the context of the hating, they will automatically think that he is a Digimon fan. I like neither, and think that both are unoriginal concepts. This comment (among others), was a social experiment run by me, in order to see just how infantile the fanbase is in comparison to the franchise itself (measured parameters being the scale of the "hater-hate" reaction, etc.), and all I can say so far is that the fanbase does seem a whole lot more mature to me than it did before. So to answer your (Alex's) question, no. It isn't the fanbase I hate. It's the franchise.

+PepperonibeatsZombie Well not gods, but in Season 4 we got Seraphimon, Orphanimon, and Cherubimon, the 3 guardians of the digital world. But if we wanna count the protagonists' top tier Digimon then it gets pretty lopsided. Omnimon is literally a fusion of the 2 Mega Level Digimon from Season 1, WarGreymon and MechaGarurumon. Imperialdramon is the Mega Level Fusion of Veemon and Wormmon. Fighter mode is stronger than that, and Paladin mode basically gives it the aforementioned Omnimon's strength. Onto Season 3, we have Gallantmon, and Gallantmon Crimson Mode. Not much to say except just that. Season 4 got us Susanoomon, a fusion of the 10 Legendary Ancient Spirits, and overall a fusion of 20 Digimon. Season 5 brought us Mega level but like Season 3 gave an additional power beyond Mega, that being Burst Mode. And I have yet to see Fusion/Xros Wars so I can't really say for that.

Sorry, I don't have months or years to waste watching such an obscenely long video. :P And honestly, there is a Digimon who could likely just wipe out the entire Pokemon universe just by *sneezing*. ZeedMillenniummon eats entire timelines for *breakfast*. There really aren't any Pokemon, not even legendaries, who could hope to even slow down ZeedMillenniummon. The power difference between the strongest Digimon (like ZeedMillenniummon,Lucemon, Susanoomon, and Alphamon Ouryuuken) and the strongest Digimon is simply *absurd*. To give you an idea of just how strong Alphamon Ouryuuken is, in his normal form as just Alphamon, he is so powerful that if he stays in one place for too long the entire digital world itself will become increasingly unstable, and in his Ouryuuken form he is far more powerful than he is in his normal form. And then there's *Lucemon*. In his *Rookie* form even Mega level Digimon have second thoughts about fighting Lucemon, and Ultimates would be curbstomped by Rookie form Lucemon.

Rayquaoxys3846 I highly doubt it. The power difference of the respective evolutions/digivolutions is simply too wide. Pokemon gain significantly less power when they evolve (even with Mega Evolution) than Digimon do every time they digivolve.

+Zach Schunk When you have over 700 pokemon and god-only-knows how many digimon, even if you had the resolve and drive to research all of that and animate it, there's still one major problem. You would have to make literally hundreds, maybe even thousands of assumptions about who is fighting who at any given time. They only did an army battle once with Eggman vs Wiley, and even that one ended in a tie, probably because they just couldn't wrap their head around every single detail.

Not to mention legendary Pokémon that can beat any Digimon. I mean, Mewtwo destroyed infinity, Groudon controls the sun, Kyogre controls the gravity of the moon (aka the tides), Rayquaza beat both Groudon and Kyogre, Dialga can erase things from time, Palkia can erase things from existence, Arceus is a God, Reshiram and Zekrom can destroy the world even though they are incomplete forms of Kyurem, making both Kyurem black and white stronger than world-busting, Xerneas can create life and Yveltal kills everything whenever it is defeated. In terms of power, it goes non-legendary Pokémon are weaker than Digimon which are weaker than legendary Pokémon.

Austyn Scruggs Not really. Pokémon aren't forced into capture. They let themselves be captured when the trainer that wants to capture them has proven their worth. Don't believe me? They could kill trainers at any given moment but don't. Because they want to see what the trainers can do. Legendary Pokémon are immense in power, to the point in which even most of the strongest super heroes look weak in comparison. Dialga alone could just erase every Digimon from time.

Whenever I think about just how strong WarGreymon really is, the fact that he can move fast enough to seemingly disappear and reappear to the naked eye is always one of my go to feats. Also, I was expecting them to explain the exact physics of WarGreymon being able to kick that giant metal ball as well as featuring the surviving a million Diaboromon feat more prominently instead of just tossing them into the list at the end. Though, I guess they just needed to make it a bit shorter and didn't want to make it quite as obvious who would win, even though it's pretty obvious either way.

For one, his power is so mmense that if he stays in one place too long the entire digital world will become unstable. Then there's the fact that his Digitalize of Soul attack manipulates time itself to allow him to attack a potentially infinite number of times in a given moment. I like both Pokemon and Digimon, but I'm not so blind as to think Pokemon even stood a chance here. ZeedMilleniummon alone could have basically just *sneezed* and wiped the entirety of the Pokemon universe. The difference in power between Pokemon and Digimon is flat out absurd.

Tai also fought a mega formed monster with a steel pipe and kept atking it until it fought back. Tai had no fear of losing or death back then when he was 9 years old. Red or Ash has never fought to save the world or got into a fight without their pokemon Tai has gotten into fights with humans and digimon with his own hands.

The interesting thing about the fight is that Red didn't understand that this wasn't just a friendly Pokemon battle until Tai punched him and by then it was too late, I wonder if in that hypothetical it would have played out differently if Red was aware that Tai and Agumon were willing to kill, as they were fighting to the death rather than to 'fainting' as is standard in the Pokemon series. While clearly WarGreymon had to win, I feel like that made this particular fight seem unfair.

First stage Lucimon is technically a rookie level digimon, yet has the power to smite 3 megas at once, if not more, and he's not even a high-power god digimon. he's a god digimon, but he's at the lower rung by power standards.

I was rooting for Tai and Agumon from the moment it was announced, partially because I'm hardcore Digimon, but also because I played enough of the Pokemon games (up through the fourth generation) to know that Charizard couldn't win if Agumon continued to digivolve. That animation was absolutely beautiful though. I love it so much that I have actually watched the Death Battle multiple times.

Deoxys has 4 forms that all are devoted to different things, and if you're looking at the anime, it can switch between said forms at will. Mewtwo is still the strongest Psychic-type. But Deoxys has the versatility advantage, easily.

To answer the kid question, digimon first appeared when the digidestined were little kids. Tai had no digivice then, but he was still able to make a digimon digivolve. Programs in the digital world noticed this and began making digimon and digivices specifically for children who were at that event, later titled the digidestined. This was foreshadowed/explained in season one and actually shown in Digimon the Movie. So the Greymon that you see with kid Tai and baby Kari is actually a completely different digimon from the partner/friend Tai eventually gets.

I really enjoyed watching this, as you actually knew what you were talking about (more or less), compared to a lot of others who have made reaction videos for this. I see a lot of pokèmon fanboys who never really watched or played digimon reacting to this, so this was refreshing. In the pokemon world, it's simply fight till you faint. Though Pokemon CAN die if they take too much damage after fainting. But for digimon you don't just die, you are erased quite literally.

Oh when you were asking about if they were shrunk or something in the digimon clip of them being younger, it's from the first digimon movie before they got sent to the digital world there was a time years before that when digimon broke into the real world and attacked the city for a brief moment.
