This Episode Actually open the door for me to the world of Death battle. It's like Deadliest Warrior, but actually have characters who are interesting and have a fair fight.. most of the time.

Fun fact! This was the first DEATH BATTLE I ever watched back when it first came out. I have been following the show ever sense up till the point I got to help work on the show myself! This episode was indeed quite short, but it was the first episode where Wiz and Boomstick became the characters we know today (Baby Canon, and there voices are almost like how they are nowadays). It was also the birth of Boomstick's puns at the end of every fight so its kind of a real mile stone episode!

+MaxOfFewTrades Very true and to be honest, it should remain as "the shortest episode" for Death Battle on screwattack, unless of course were talking parody fights like Death Battle T-Shirt vs Every Other T-Shirt in The World. But in the event if Yoshi ever dose come back to Death Battle for any reason, Gon should be Yoshi's next opponent, and due to the sheer fact that Gon is in fact Yoshi's Ultimate Imitator albeit for different reasons (no joke).

***** During Yoshi's analysis on the side it said that he was skilled in combat, the fastest character in the Mario Universe, has a higher and stronger jump than Mario and even Luigi (Flutter Jump beats Scuttle Jump) and is resistent to knockback, in Smash Bros. when Yoshi does his double-jump (Flutter Jump) he can resist knockback from attacks. Yoshi has been known to not get hurt easily since he technically can't die in Super Mario World and Yoshi's Island (except for the pits, lava, and spikes of course), in other past games, it is shown that Yoshi can survive being flattened like a pancake, impaled, cut, sliced, shot by lasers, struck by lightning, crushed by the Moon, and beaten multiple times. Since Yoshi is a dinosaur he technically has dinosaur scales which are very durable. By the way Nintendo now considers the Yoshi species including Yoshi himself to be male only.

Haha yes! Another Let's Watch Death Battle from Ris ;). The moment I saw Yoshi I clicked on it. But I agree, this was definitely a "Wtf?" Death Battle for me. I was pretty shocked Yoshi won after the brutality he faced from Raptor. Idk, I still kinda disagree with this analysis. I never heard before that Yoshi was durable and could withstand tons of damage.

Cool, but on topic, Yoshi does have the Durability feats to take Riptor's attacks, they just didn't mention it because this early on in the series they where trying to make the episodes as short as possible.

Food for thought with Yoshi's defense. In a good majority of the games Yoshi has been in, Yoshi rarely has a health bar or dies from being hit too much. For example, in Super Mario World (Yoshi's first game) as long as you keep catching him, Yoshi can get hit almost infinitely and not die from impact. The only game I can think of on the top of my head where Yoshi can get hit too much is Yoshi's Story, probably the lamest game Yoshi has ever been in.

WARNING: SPOILERS: That fight was bogus, mainly because of that acid. If a life form can produce acid, it is resistant to it. No ifs, ands, or buts. Also, Wiz had hinted he was Mario franchise biased in the Screw Attack forums. And it really shows in 2 of the videos. He tried very hard to make Luigi win against Tails but the info provided from everyone forced him to lose. In the Peach vs Zelda fight, he used non-cannon Mario sports games effects as strengths for her fighting, which is the stupidest thing I have ever seen.

I confess, I fell for the 'trap' where the cute non-lethal dino would have not chance against the Killer Instinct of Riptor. Granted, it feels like, if you think about it, it is like why the Road runner would win. Jokes aside, I have to ask, how does surviving mario party give him the 'defences' that stop him being torn to shreds? The convenient cliff was convenient, whilst would Riptor actually spit up the acid? I thought that Riptor's finisher included eating the target whole. But, other than the unanswered questions to say, "How was mario party that dangerous?"

I had played the original Mario Party on the N64 and I can 'sorta' see why he calls it a death trap, although it had caused blisters on the players hands when it came to the technique for rotating the stick. On a side note, I theorise that Yoshi's defence may be high as, in Mario party, the characters can, in essence, tank a direct hit from a cannon and explosions to the face and still survive even though they lose the game. Personally, they SHOULD have gone through the defenses a little more in the analysis. However, does that help you a little Ris?

Well, for Yoshi's defence, let's just say that he fights a lot of other people involved in Death Battle who can pull off some pretty brutal attacks, so I guess it makes sense he can survive claw attacks. Though I'm not entirely sure it's wise to use Super Smash Brothers when analyzing a fighter's abilities, as fighting games tend to equalize all characters for the sake of gameplay.
