As a 100% disablied Veteran from The Iraq War, this song brings me to tears. I come from a Family of Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen and this song moves me and echos my prayers for all who gave all. God Bless the writer.

One of the most beautiful songs ever written sung by one of the most beautiful and rich voices I've ever heard. I'm so thankful a friend introduced me years ago to John Gorka.

Day Of The Total Eclipse - Post event - Dear John, I love you so much since the Me & Thee days when I paid $5 to see you. I've written elsewhere of my debt to you for the many times I sang "Love Is Our Cross To Bear' in the Public Garden in Boston. One of the most beautiful songs ever written. It's no wonder I consider you a beautiful man and Angel of God. God bless you today and every day forever. All my love. Peace

Let them in, Peter They are very tired Give them couches where the angels sleep And light those fires Let them wake up whole again To brand new dawns Fired with the sun Not wartimes bloody guns May their peace be deep Remember where the broken bodies lie God knows how young they were to have to die God knows how young they were to have to die Give them things they like Let them make some noise Give roadhouse bands, not golden harps, to these our boys And let them love, Peter 'Cause they've had no time They should have trees, and birdsongs, And hills to climb The taste of summer In a ripened pear And girls sweet as meadow winds with flowing hair Tell them how they are missed And say not to fear It's gonna be all right with us down here It's gonna be all right with us down here Let them in, Peter

My friend, most people don’t hear music; they watch it. To love John’s music you have to hear it with ear, mind, and heart. Ain’t nothing exploding or flashing.

This is quite a treat. To see this, to hear this-what a visual and auditory treat. To think that about 30 years has passed since the purchase of my first John Gorka records to being able to view this. Thanks. Come to Long Island- it's like New Jersey , even more so!

John will always hold a special spot in my heart for calling out Donald Trump's false and self-aggrandizing lifestyle decades ago... in a way that has proved to be so very painfully prophetic... "It's a shame that people that work Want to hear about this kind of jerk..."
