Even if the judge had something on him, he knew he'd get a longer jail sentence for unaliving a judge than whatever he would have been charged with. Just makes me wonder if the judge did something really bad to make him want to unalive him. I've looked up first degree m*rder sentencing in Kentucky and this is what I've found. I don't think being a sherriff would matter since he unalived a judge.
