Don't forget you can support the channel using my affiliate link when purchasing from NLR - nextlevelracing.com/?ref=4983 A few other points I forgot to include in the script: - This is a piece of kit really designed for a dedicated flight sim setup - I use it with a desk here but it is intended for use with dedicated setups including freestanding monitors and perhaps some panels in front of the pilot - This chairs ergonomics are fairly basic, you can adjust height but only by a small amount, there are no arm rests and no lumbar support unless you use the included pillow, that being said it isn't a bad seat to sit on and as I said in the video, no worse than any other office chair I've tried

@@BobbyFuzzy hey man how wide is the seat without other frame attachments? Product says 39 overall but my guess is that would be super wide for just the seat

I don't have the unit at home to measure I'm afraid but it's about the normal width of a seat, perhaps a little narrower even. I remember the base was definitely not as wide as my normal office chair.

Fantastic review! Great detail, and I loved how genuine it was even though they sent the product to you. Does it feel uncomfortable to reach forward for your keyboard so often?

Thanks dude! I usually have it tucked under my desk a bit further so there's no leaning but had it pulled back for the review clips so it was easier for viewers to see. There's also the keyboard mount which means less leaning!

Thanks for a very genuine review and like it. I am surprised that no armrests, I fly Boeing and an essential element, not sure about Airbus. Believe they also provide the HF8 feedback seat cover, would be nice to see a review on that please

Great review! Thank you. About to order but I have been going back and forth between the two versions. I play mostly combat sims however the commercial seat covering looks more comfortable. Is that the case ?

It's a pleasure! The commercial one feels nicer to the touch but comfort wise it's no different in my experience. You hardly notice the wooliness when you're sat. Not to say the military version doesn't feel nice to the touch it's just different. Consider using my affiliate link before you purchase to help support the channel 😊

Thanks Roy! I probably wouldn't recommend it for someone with back issues, probably a chair specifically designed for ergonomics is more suitable!

Which version is more comfortable to sit on? Deciding whether to order commercial or military.

Both about the same to be honest. The commercial feels quite nice against the skin but in terms of comfort there's very little difference.

One question on the set-up / customisation - regarding the side platforms (where the throttle and sidestick are kept, right and left) - can they be adjusted lower ? - i.e. I prefer to have these items lower than normal, to more closely simulate actual position in an aircraft. Thanks!

Yes they can be moved lower and higher. Bare in mind that because platforms are attaching to the seat base they are *much* lower down by default than on a desk for example so you will have no problems with this. That is what I aimed for as well.

Hey Tom! Absolutely possible - only thing is you would still have the outer frame of the seat (where the rudder pedal plate usually sits) as it has feet on to keep the chair level. If you do decide to purchase please consider using my affiliate link in the video description! 😊
