Casey bludgeoning plants to death while Ian rants about brainrot is peak BLG
@miles_quinine2 күн бұрын
I love the Deku! They are a riot. They've always been little gremlins personality wise, even back in MM. Yay, Casey got to play. Considering what they were thrown into they really thrived, and that yellow off-brand thwomp (not Deku approved!) really got a good work out. Also just in case...Jabul waters is just the name for the whole Zora area (sea and river). :)

Well that was very well played I remember just picking the table out with me and completely forgetting the piece of heart so i came back when i already had my stuff back The way all these different heights objects play with each other is so cool
@Stratelier2 күн бұрын
Yup. If you analyze it, you have: - Table (height=1) and stone bed (height=1) - Torch (height=2) and two Plants (height=4) And the Piece of Heart is atop the totems at height=6.

17:30 The other 'intended' way of solving that puzzle would be to drag a box down, make a bind with it as you stand under the current then let Zelda follow the box's upward movement as it floats back up. She'll float up ignoring the current.

One thing that Ian didn't do was if you talk to the guards of the prison they will throw you back in there meaning you have to escape again. (Luckily they don't take your stuff again.) It's just another thing where they could have been the dumb but endearing but instead the game punishes you for talking to them. I never saw that other comment about selling smoothies but one thing they didn't account for is the 10 rupees to make it. Milk sells for 10 rupees each and a Milky Smoothie (Milk + Milk) sells for 25 rupees but the 10 rupees to make it means your losing 5 rupees each smoothie. Maybe it's because Ian didn't talk to as many NPC's as I did but I'm less annoyed at the Deku Scrubs when watching you two play. I don't know if it's just other dialogue that you haven't seen or if I was in a bad mood when playing through this section but they aren't quite as annoying as I remembered. (Still don't quite like them yet though.) Also it's only 2 deku scrubs that actually show they care about anything other than cotton candy. (This one inside the Sweet Spot and Blossu.) I know Ian wanted more comments about the skibidi brainrot stuff but I don't really have anything to add to the conversation. I'm not using TikTok or looking for memes on Twitter though so maybe it just doesn't bother me because I rarely see it. I have seen the Skibidi Toilet toys at Target though which surprises me that Valve hasn't sued them for using their character models on the packaging. (Or as the basis for the "characters" that the toys are based on.)

17:21 The way to move up in a location where bubbles are trying to push you down when you don't have the Platboom is Reverse Bind. I didn't get the Platboom until after finishing the game because I didn't understand that they could be killed until I started watching letsplays, so that's the method I used: create a box and reverse bind to it as it floats to the top in the bubble-free spot.

My thoughts on the whole matter of people getting upset about the usage of language like "skibidi" is that they sound like the same kind of people that genuinely think it's not ok for other people to put pineapple on their pizza. It's just a non-argument that doesn't affect anyone in any meaningful way, but for some reason it's become popular to hate on it? I use silly language when chatting with friends all the time, and even though I don't use terms like skibidi, I use other dumb words, typically just for fun to make a silly comment.

I think you'll be able to do something at the heart lake with the sad deku now once you finish the dungeon. It was supposed to be an area you could learn where the membership card was at, but I guess it's optional

And as far as the youth slang thing goes...I would reply to that...but "on god"...I tried to write that comment and it just devolved into ramblings about linguistics, politics related to queer people and BIPoc, how we are failing to uplift our younger generations, and other lOvElY topics. And honestly, I'm more here to watch shenanigans unfold, appreciate dated homestuck references, and leave a silly comment. But I agree there is really no point in being genuinely mad about someone saying skibidi, but I would assume that at least some of those who wrote comments like that are doing so jokingly...maybe?

Yay for the 8am upload. I love this game. A lot of "gen alpha" slang are words that people have been using for years (mostly AAVE or terms coined by the LGBT+ community). The rest is pure nonsense based on brainless jokes...but, so are most internet "memes". Also, "goon" (not henchmen, the other one) has been a thing for a while. It's not gen alpha slang. My thought on the matter is that it's just jokes. It was the same with gen z and millennial slang. Why do people heff to be mad? Ian, use those skibidi chungus words if you wish to.
@SpamtonPFP3 күн бұрын
For me it’s not that I see of one of those words and immediately get pissed, it’s the sheer amount of it being used that annoys me COMPOUNDED with everything else that happens (such as politics, like Casey mentioned ) that can end up making my day worse. But all in all I think Ian using it is perfectly fine compared to the billons of memes that are just a random image and every single “brainrot” word squeezed into a caption over it.

I never noticed that idle animation with Tri sitting on Zelda's head! That's adorable! Ooh, using the platboom there is a really clever solution! Nice! Wait are green eggs and ham an actual food? I thought it was just the standard Seussian nonsense. Ian just calmly reading that comment as Casey panicked about being thrown into combat without knowing the controls had me laughing like crazy =)

That heart piece debacle in particular was really funny! Honesty, the peak of brainrot for me is Sonic randomly singing It's Going Down from P3 Reload. Speaking of, please return to Shadow Generations(Collection Room extras and collectibles, Hard Mode Challenges and the Movie DLC stage) and Astro Bot(The new Challenge levels and the Christmas levels) in the near future! I also really hope you play the original Sonic Generations, and some of the recent releases by Atlus, too!

I, for one, support Casey's all-Platboom play style. And as to the main point, I think the only thing that sets Gen Alpha brainrot apart is the social media saturation. Back when I was 14, we said all kinds of stupid shit. We used to say "shibby". I don't think that's any more intelligent than skibidi. But no one in my grade 8 class was posting TikToks, so therefore an older generation didn't have have the chance to learn about it and get angry.

I might've left a comment on that skibidi video saying something like "dont ever call us that again", but you see, that was an Amazing Digital Circus reference, so I'm actually quoting just as much brainrot as you! Ha! Ok but seriously I don't mind brainrot quotes like skibidi or rizz, especially if they're clearly being used ironically. I do think it's rather silly to get so actually worked up over those words, especially cause like... this isn't even new. We've had youtube poops, big chungus, among us, annoying orange, wazzuuuuuuup, what does the fox say, badger badger. Skibidi's just the latest in heavily quoted brainrot, and there'll continue to be heavily quoted brainrot long after. Might as well roll with the rot, you know?
