Yikes I resonate with the stalking story with the pushed back court date and that chaotic fear and unease. I dealt with that myself for years but the police and lawyers wouldn't do anything because they didn't want to "ruin his life".... Sadly I can relate. I dated someone for 5 years, after I left him he killed my dog, tortured my son, flowed me everywhere, and assaulted me with a knife late November 2019. Sadly even though I have a 2inch thick file on him with the police, he never paid for his crimes. I still see him occasionally, but luckily he doesn't actually do anything to me anymore. I'm not afraid of him anymore, and he knows it, so he has no power over me and never will again!

I genuinely don’t understand people as naive as Jenny. That friend needs to take the time to educate her friend on strangers haha. And there’s no way of looking at the story to make the man less creepy. No person with sound mind is going to ask a stranger to look in their pockets and insist in them getting in the truck. Jenny’s parents failed her and she needs to take a class or something that’s crazy dumb. Like hitchhiking, it’s not worth the risk. Don’t pick them up and don’t ask for lifts.
@katethurston43284 жыл бұрын
I mean, if stranded that could be your only option. And I've picked people up unsolicited: example, disabled man with evident muscular dystrophy caning his way down a road with no bus stop in sight. Turned around and picked him up. Dropped him off at his job at wal mart without incident. Not everyone is out to hurt you.
@Justaperson3544 жыл бұрын
Kate Thurston yes that’s true not everyone is, but some are and it’s not worth the risk. Ted Bundy would have a fake injury or use crutches to get women to give him a ride, they’d see him looking harmless and get killed. In fact, I heard a story of an elderly man that killed a woman that gave him a ride. You can never be too safe. I’m a disabled woman myself (mostly use wheelchair but can walk some days) and I definitely am strong enough to be a threat if I was a bad person. So even if they are noticeably disabled it’s best to just call the police to help them if you see someone stranded or call them a taxi. If I was stranded, which I was once, I still would not get in someone’s car I’d ask for them to call a cab or a tow truck.
@nafsi85194 жыл бұрын
@@katethurston4328 why would a disable man walking on street? Due to my knee injury i was immobile for few days. I never let myself leave my house without vehicle.

@@Justaperson354 hitchhiking is not a thing in my country. Honestly I can't imagine who thought at first that it is safe to enter a person's vehicles? I always called my husband to track my GPS when I'm in uber.

@@nafsi8519 he was on his way to work, he had a wal mart vest. You think disabled people don't work or go anywhere? He had Muscular dystrophy. He had crutches. I had a friend like Jenny 🙄... she was always comfortable with asking for people for rides like once in 2015 we were walking down this busy road in my city to head to the salon to get my nails done with her and it was so hot outside plus we didnt have a car cause we were both like 15 years old so she wanted to ask a stranger parked next to the store for a ride i told her no dont get in strangers cars!!!! Like what how does a mother not teach their kids about strangers? Another time was in 2016 i went to her house after school and she was showering and im in her room she then walks in and asks me "are you coming" I said "Where" she said "some girl is coming to get me to go to the bank" this was around the time people would do that scamming thing at the bank well she said the girl contacted her through facebook and said " if you have a credit card ill take you to the bank and ill take out like 4,000 and we go half and half... and i said first of all " if you get caught because your names on the card you're going to jail for scamming second of all never get in a strangers car especially not for something like this" if I wouldn't been there that day God knows what would have happened to her smh I told her you dont know what that lady is capable of or who she might have with her that will hurt you. I don't know how these people are raised, I'm sure at least some of their parents would be disgusted with their behaviour. I always say to any creeps, "would your mother be proud of u right now" It has shut a few down, but unfortunately not all xx
