The story about the young girl and her older brother (in Europe) in the middle of the woods in the winter, listening to some unknown creature wailing and carrying on was eerie and creepy asf. That's one is gonna stick with me, I think. Great stories, Joel - thank you

I do really respect and appreciate how great of a brother she has and Im sure she does too, at least I hope so. He was only 11 years old so I’m sure he was absolutely terrified too but regardless of how old u r or how scared u r when u know u have someone that u need to protect u don’t have the option to be afraid and I really have a lot of respect for how he handled himself at such a young age he showed a lot of intelligence and practical thinking by saying that who or whatever it is doesn’t need the help of 2 children as well as just allowing her to think it was a dream to further protect his little sister. He overall did a great job of protecting her and stood guard over her the whole night even though he was exhausted. He’s a person that clearly loves his little sister more then anything and I know there’s nothing he wouldn’t do to protect her. I have so much respect for him and love to hear any story with ppl like that it always makes me happy to hear that there r good ppl out there.

I know alot of people in Europe and Russia. The forests and woods there are insane! I'm positive there's things out there only seen in our dreams (or nightmares) all the European folklore undoubtedly has alot of truth to it..
@nightmarehound

Honestly I might assume that the creature screaming from the forest was a lynx that came to check the house out. They can sound just like screaming humans when they are yelling at each other, so it wouldn't be impossible that a lynx came to another one's territory, got yelled away and it ran to the house.
@shawnbbunbbbybbb3942

I’m not positive but I think a lynx sounds like a woman screaming not a man and it sounds like they’re somewhere in Scandinavia and idk if they’re indigenous to that area of Northern Europe

I found out today from my brother that one of our neighbors is number 43 on the sex offenders registry for our county. He also walked in front of our house shirtless on the street and we have a couple of family friends staying with us and one of them wanted to beat the living daylights out of him if he tried to come on our property. He was arrested for another charge but I don't know what he was arrested for. It was pretty creepy.

Back on March 2017 my daughter had just moved in to a second floor apartment with a balcony and I went out on the balcony to have cigarette and it had just starting to get dark outside and about 20ft. from me and a couple ft. from the top of a tree I see a ghost bird. Well, it would be like if you thought about what a ghost would look, best way I can explain it, anyway it appeared and by time I realized what I was looking at it disappeared, I told my daughter what I had seen, well, she looked at me like I was crazy, can't blame her, but the next day she had seen the exact thing that I saw which I was thankful because I didn't want to be the only crazy person.

Yes, like usual you should always be prepared to protect yourself, that's a given. Besides, what was the officer supposed to do to that guy? As unsettling as it may have seem with him knocking on two different doors with so called, "restraints" in his hand it's not illegal to knock on doors if no one is asking you to vacate their property. Had you answered to door, or even yelled through the door ordering him to leave & he continued to stick around & knock then you might have had some sort of minor leg to stand on, but the fact of the matter is that you & your neighbor remained silent while he continued to knock for that extended amount of time. Yet you expected the cop to do more than what he did & got an attitude when he didn't put that guy in handcuffs & kidnap him, & potentially ruining his life for knocking on your door. How entitled are you? That's ridiculous. I don't know about y'all, but I don't want to live in a place that arrests you for knocking on a door.

what is law enforcement to do?arrest someone for having resistance bands? I recognize the man was banging on the door for longer than he should. The night that police were called no proof of window peaking was mentioned to the responding officer, the officer had no grounds to search or arrest the man. The most they can do is patrol.

The story with the guy and the restraints,I gotta feeling the cop was probably in on it somehow by not taking it further. But I can guarantee that cop would have no problem arresting the op of the story if that guy got shot and the law putting op away for the next 50 years. Law enforcement is fucked beyond repair at times. It just sounds like one of those situations cops in on it let's the guy go it's sketchy. Not saying all cops are bad no sir,but I do know there are more bad apples than good ones alot these days.

I don’t believe the story is true. He would’ve been arrested. And she said her “downstairs neighbor” and then said their doors are right next to each other. That would be a weird layout. Exercise bands? Also, he was “peering into our kids’ windows.” How would the guy do that if she lived upstairs? Just a few discrepancies I noticed

The funny thing to listen to those stories being not from US is that I think that it is such a bullshit to not have tall walls and a gate. The American dream is so bizarre and I don't know how you guys can feel safe or even have any privacy with people having free access to your front door. And also believing that the police is really going to do something or even give you a follow up.

It sounds really expensive and impractical to have tall fences and a gate around every house tbh. How am I supposed to get into my driveway without it being a nightmare if there’s a whole gate in the way? That’s the stuff only people in mansions have Also tbh I’m surprised so many Americans have faith in the police still after all they’ve done. Almost nothing is handled the way you want it to by the police, so why do people still think that they’ll do anything? It makes me laugh.

@@froggy5748 and yeah, it is true. I find very sad that the US police can be as deadly as the one from my country. Only now my state has made body cams a must and the shootings rate from the police dropped drastically. But mind you that a lot of people are killed by police here because of corruption and etc.

But I find weird is that everyone in these stories don't have guns it's like why not seems like a better idea cuz then you can hold the creep at gunpoint and even if they did come out you could just shoot them
