Hey it’s me, John Maynard from call number 4 👋 I have to say, I’ve listened to my 911 call a few times now, and hearing you read it like that gave me chills. Listening to it tonight while finishing up at work really helped remind me of just what exactly I lived through. I’ve become almost desensitized to it, but you reading it that way really brought me back to that night. For everyone who is reading this comment, the bailer I was using specifically was an industrial bailer and it was cardboard I was bailing that night. And yep, I have gone on to live a relatively normal life afterwards. I’m no longer married; divorced after 8 1/2 years. But I do still run my KZbin channel, with the intention of bringing humor into this world and making people laugh. And since all of my older videos are specifically amputee related, I’m continuously helping answer questions for new amputees, and people who are interested in our way of life. And to Lets Read, thank you for including my call in this video.

It's disturbing to know that 911 operators aren't trained to interpret calls from someone asking for pizza to be delivered to a specified address as a code call. I'm not an operator and I knew exactly what she was trying to do. Not one operator in hearing distance said, 'wait, she might need help and is using code'. That they all laughed or got angry at this girl at first is really disturbing.

Being a police dispatcher does take a toll on one's mental state. My grandmother was a dispatcher for the county I live in for 25 years. Take that on top of the mental abuse my grandfather put her through when they were married and very young and you've got a solid example of this statement.

Fun story: I got my first phone at 13, thing was my number at the time had a combination of 9s and 1s. My mother called my number to test out my new phone but accidentally dialed 911 at some point. We were at home having dinner when the doorbell rang. An officer came to our house. Needless to say we were mortified, and explained to the officer what must of happened. He was good natured about it, laughed at my terrified face, then said it's good to know the phone works well. It's been a fun story we share with the family now. Great video as always!

I had a 911 "pizza cover" domestic call and she had to call a few times. Alcohol was involved and I asked her if she was really expected 911 to deliver her a pizza, to which she kept saying "yes" instead of something like " no, not interested in wings but I NEED a pizza to my house NOW" . I just want to say there is no "pizza protocol" and a lot emergency dispatch centers have a very strict scripts operators absolutely have to stick to. Operators can't always creatively ask you about toppings and if those mushrooms have weapons. Please try to convey first your address, then insist to be helped if it isn't immediately understood. I am not a cop, not a lawyer, this is just personal experience that I sincerely hope will help someone needing the advice.

Theres a video game called 911 Operator on the switch where you act as an operator and dispatch emergency services based on calls. It's a great game and I recognised all of these calls from there - I don't know if the actual calls were used or just taken inspiration from but I highly recommend it.
