It's NOT a lost text. None of the Gnostic gospels were lost: they were rejected by the early church because they went against the texts known to be from the hands of the apostles and their immediate followers.

Mary (virgin Mary) is the real Jesus who is incarnated as the one true head of the catloleilike church. This mother is Her and the father are one flesh. She was and still is the Most beautiful woman who ever lived, meaning she has powers to shapeshift herself into the worlds most beautiful female to ever live, and still lives!!

Question🙋🏾‍♀: Why was it that people were mad about Jesus marrying a prostitute? He literally 'made an honest woman of her'. If prostitution makes you the scourge of the earth🙄, it stands to reason that a Jesus would step in and put a stop to that behaviour. He's Jesus, he did 'what Jesus would do'. What's their problem?

I forget which Catholic leader it was but he pushed for Paul's work to be the main text and ordered the rest destroyed. He also persecuted and put many to death. Interestingly enough Paul was one of the Roman followers of Judaism and he himself persecuted Jesus's deciphels himself. Also many of his texts are believed to be forged. Coverup? Can you do a video on this?

Thank you for this! Just a few days ago I laid flowers at the altar of Maria Magdalena in the basilica of Assisi. I feel a strange familiarity to her story and I imagine this gospel might be closer to the "original" teachings than the orthodox church would like us to believe. Thank you for shedding some light on this darkened corner of history!

Mary was in love with Jesus and he with her. They were very close. Just like any normal human would be. Jesus trusted her and loved her deeply. The fact that her gospel is so fragmented tells me that it is very old. Older than the other gospels. Carbon dating never works on texts because the history of how it was kept and the unknown keeps it from being accurate. The simple fact that much of it is missing tells the story that it is very much older than the other texts. Most likely the real thing. The church makes billions off of common understanding of the Bible and pays no taxes on that money. Why upset the good times? Truth is important because the future of humanity depends on the truth being told. The gospel of Mary is a far departure from the traditional teachings of religion. That fact alone makes it a very interesting text. Why is it so different and do we trust the orthodox church anymore?

Even though it's non canonical I cannot help but feel drawn to this gospel and its contents. I am once again in awe at the spiritual ideas of early Christianity and the common ground between Christian Mysticism and other spiritual practices. In the end I guess there are no straight answers in this world.

I could write a book of gratitude here but I will keep it brief.. I am amazed but not surprised that these 'lost' teachings are not at the top of the list of research etc.. Much thanks to Elaine Pagels for opening the doors to the spirit behind the mythology called Christianity and to you as well for sharing this priceless information.. What this Gospel as well as Thomas parallel are the teachings of Sri Nisargadatta and others in South India that sprouted around the same time or perhaps earlier.. Thank you thank you thank you.. Not many have grasped the importance of what these pearls of wisdom offer to so many who hunger for such guidance.. Peace
