Sramay That’s not really a religious way of life necessarily. Live and let live is also literally an economic movement with a website or organization pushing that. It’s basically the idea behind anarchy or ancaps or anarcho capitalists. It’s a way of life not necessarily a religious belief. But I can understand how some may say that’s a religious belief or morphs with the core of some religions. But like Christianity for instance is totally against the live and let live mantra. Tons of Christian’s believe the U.S. must rule with an iron fist. Tons of politicians from mitt Romney etc vote with their conscience they claim but vote way against live and let live. It’s more like let’s make war with everyone because my religion compels me to.
@sramay123 Жыл бұрын
all religions have core concept based on morality. It is essential to keep order in society otherwise there will complete anarchy like what we see in animal kingdom. My objection is against my religion best and yours is filthy. Rituals alone cannot bring morality in a individual, he/she has to introspect and do course correction self. So clled God is not going to punish you for wrong doing. Really God is nature and Nature is god. @@koltoncrane3099

You're all great folk! Handsome and wise. I'm very thankful for the Work you all do to help bring together in your community of creators a grounded, academic, respectful, thorough and nuanced approach to education on religion, philosophy and esotericism. It is very much needed especially on KZbin. When I was a teen (a little more than over a decade ago) the information one would find on these subjects was dangerously biased and misleading. One video that was very popular was simply a straight up indoctrination video from a cult and it had millions of views. Growing up with that messed me up but also hardened me as I've become much better at recognizing who has done good faith research on a topic and who isn't simply trying to spread their own ideas rather than analyze the vast array of perspectives throughout history. Your group of friends and co-creators are certainly the former and not the latter!

On Baal Shem, Jewish mystic and healer “When Baal Shem was dying, somebody asked, “Are you prepared to meet the Lord?” He said, “I have always been ready. It is not a question of becoming ready now - I have always been ready. Any moment he could have called me!” The man asked, “What is your readiness?” Baal Shem said, “I know a few beautiful jokes - I will tell him those jokes. And I know he will enjoy them and he will laugh with me. And what else can I offer to him? The whole world is his, the whole universe is his, I am his, so what can I offer to him? Just a few jokes!” Baal Shem is one of the great buddhas who has come out of the Jewish tradition, one of the most loved by his disciples. He was the founder of Hassidism.”

@willieluncheonette5843 Жыл бұрын
@@rafaelnunesduarte " It is not known that even in the very traditional, orthodox Judaism there have been a few utterly enlightened masters - even some who have gone beyond enlightenment. One of them is Baal Shem Tov. Baal Shem Tov. Tov was the name of his town. His name simply means 'Baal Shem from the town of Tov'; so let us call him simply Baal Shem. I have spoken about him because when I was speaking about Hassidism, I have not left anything essential unspoken. I have spoken of Tao, of Zen, of Sufism, of Hassidism. I am not a man of any tradition so I am free to move in any direction I decide to. I don't even need a map. Let me remind you again: Coming in, going out, the waterfowl leaves no trace behind, nor it needs a guide. Baal Shem Tov has not written any treatise - treatise is a dirty word in the world of mysticism - but he told many beautiful stories, so beautiful that I would like to relate one of them to you just as an example so you can taste the quality of the man. A woman comes to Baal Shem. The woman is childless; she wants a child. She bugs Baal Shem continuously saying, "If you bless me everything is possible. Bless me please. I want a child." Finally, tired - yes, even Baal Shem can get tired of a nagging woman - he says, "Do you want a boy child or a girl?" The woman was tremendously happy; she said, "A boy, of course." Baal Shem said, "Then listen to this story. My mother was also childless, and she bugged and nagged the rabbi of the town continuously to bless her. Finally the rabbi said, 'First bring me a beautiful cap.' My mother," Baal Shem said, "made a beautiful cap and went to the rabbi." The cap was so beautiful that Baal Shem's mother said, "I don't want anything in return, just to see you in this cap is so beautiful. I am tremendously gratified. You are not obliged to me, I am obliged to you. Thank you, rabbi." "And my mother went away. That's how she became pregnant," Baal Shem said, "and I was born." The woman said, "Great. So tomorrow I will come with a beautiful cap." The next day she returned with a very beautiful cap. Baal Shem accepted and did not even say "Thank you." The woman waited and waited, then she said, "What about the child?" Baal Shem said, "Forget all about the child! The cap is so beautiful, I am obliged to you. I must say thank you to you. Do you remember the story I told you? The woman did not ask anything in return, that's why she conceived a child, and a child like me" - like Baal Shem. "But you have come with the desire to get something. Just because of this cap do you want a child like Baal Shem? Forget all about it," he said, "and don't come again - ever." There are many things that can be said only through stories. Baal Shem has said the fundamental: Do not ask and it shall be given. Do not ask - that is the basic condition. The Hassidism that arose out of Baal Shem's stories is the most beautiful flowering that has ever happened. Jews have done nothing comparable to Hassidism. Hassidism is a small current, but is still alive, still flowing."

I am simply in awe of the fact that a single person, Daniel C. Matt, translated and wrote commentary upon the main body of the Zohar, an immense work of thousands of pages. And of a book of this kind of nature! Surely one of the finest bodies of work anyone has left behind in the past 200 years! (The translation, I mean- the Zohar itself is older than that!) I only imagine what it took to actually write the Zohar! Clearly someone was very in touch with the spirit of the Divine One behind it All, even if the writing of it was the work of a team of a dozen rabbis! And Isaac Luria's interpretation is true on one thing, certainly: when we do good in the world, we heal the world! As a historian, that is very clear to me! Never think that your kindness doesn't help!

If I may as native Hebrew speaker (‘from israel) to add and enrich to this video topic and also correct some of your translations. All From a non religious yet spiritual oriented point of view: 1) the word Kabbalah in Hebrew means many things .. 1st is receiving or better receiveness but in common use even today it is also used and implies receptiveness, embrace-fullness,acknowledgment and acceptance. And as I and many others see it if I will use this word in a sentence regarding god\ Divinity or nature\life as the creation/manifestation of divinity, or divine or esoteric knowledge..it will mean all this words I’ve used at once as a primary teaching and pointing to the attitude toward this manners. 2)regarding the 10 sphirot: 1st of all the word sphirot in direct translation means : countings but If pronounced spherot which is correct as well regarding the word as it written it can mean also spheres. Now I’ll go to the major point: As you see there are 7 levels to the 10 spheres : the upper most 1 /keter is indeed crown The 2 level chokmah on the right means la direct translate smartness but means and implies knlowage. And binah means wisdom and also understanding and this 2 are at the same level let’s call it 2nd floor. On the 3st floor (‘from up to down) there is chesed on the right which meanes love and kindness and you may add compassion aswell .. all in action and not as merely emotions. In other worlds you can do chesed and you cannot feel chesed. It’s a special world that describes attitude and the nature of a certain action or a manifestation of any kind. And on the left side on the same floor the word gevurah means in direct translation heroism or in expended meaning fearless and mostly unselfish action and attitude. Moving to the 4th floor tiferet means in direct translation glory or glory-full beauty and not merely beauty. On the the 5th floor netzach on the right means few things: 1 is from the root of triumph or victorious as you mentioned but also means eternity and the infinite essence. The second word at the same floor on the left Hod means majesty but in a sense of graceful majesty or Nobel majesty and not merely majestic in its aspects. The 6th floor the world yesod means foundation but also natural/organic element. And the final 7th floor malchut doesn’t mean kingdom. There’s a different word from the same root that translates to kingdom which is mamlacha. Malchut means kingship or kingness and implies ruling with royality and nobility like a king should. As you seen Hebrew is quite difficult to translate something due to its multiple meanings but I tried my best to elaborate with context in a basic level to help those who want to understand in a wider way this words meaning. Also for an ending note I want to suggest that this 10 sphirot are actually 7 layers latter that is equivalent to the 7 chakras( or energetic centres ) in a human being. The upper most crown is even named the same and donward . And as I see it each floor in general and the ones that contain 2 words also describes with qualities the potential in human being of each center point after been awakened to the Devine and it’s full potential. And another nice philosophical equivalent I find to Hindu philosophy or vedantic wisdom is that every one at the base is a king allready after awakening to truth through mystical experience and connecting with the infinite divinity. One can get wear the crown and be one with the devine\god and manifest all this qualities in life. (Jivan mukti) in Hindu or (‘Buddhi sattva) in Buddhism. The second way from the same angle to interpret the 7 spheres is to equivalent it to the 5 bodies or 7 realms of existence . The gross body , the causal body ent cetra.. or to the physical realm the astral realm and cetra.. if some one is interested I can elaborate on it and on many more examples of principles and aspects I’ve found from Kabbalah that are equivalent to vedantic philosophies and esoteric knowledge I’ve found recently :) And Just for clarification I am not identifying with any religion and not practicing Judaism or Kabbalah and never did. My only background in spiritual wisdom is from vedantic ancient texts I’ve studied in the last few years. And regarding the Hebrew translation and add ons. It is only from my perspective as a Hebrew native speaker and neutral thinker from outside. Hope some one will benefit from this extremely long comment😅 Blessings and divine bliss for all ❤

The fact that "Cruel Angel's Thesis" was not in the intro is a missed opportunity in my mind. The popular phrase: "God is in his kingdom, all is right with the world" stands directly opposed to the general stance of Calvinism and related principles in Christianity which assert the world to be fallen. Via Paul, most of Christianity has adopted the curious belief that the Earth is either somehow not part of God's kingdom or is some kind of diabolical experiment. In a more literal sense, some denominations believe this to be hell and the devil is not just manifest temptation/sin/anti-divine, but takes on the role of a sort of demiurge of gnosticism. I was always really fun at sunday school as I somehow both tend to 'be christian' and yet reject damn near everything taught, refocusing it through a different lens. Without an understanding of mysticism and the beliefs of the era, most of the biblical scripture cannot be understood. Consider Matthew 6 - more specifically verse 25 through the end, though the whole chapter works this way. Christians often use this in a broken and distorted form, removing verse 33 from the context and using it to refer to Paul's doctrine of an otherworldly kingdom of God - seek the afterlife and all will be good. However, the immediate statement before is "the gentiles seek these things and your heavenly father knows you need them all" - referencing, prior, the sparrow and other aspects of nature. The gentiles were non-jews, who were debatably seen as fellow humans from the perspective of israelites, but certainly in a state of idol worship. Jesus is saying "look, God obviously provides for people who don't worship him just as he provides for the sparrow." He then uses the phrase "Seek, first, the Kingdom..." this is a play on the notion of Ketter is in Malkuth. God is with his bride - to seek God, look for him in his kingdom. My fellow christians are trapped in a death cult which has convinced them god is not here and awaits them beyond. It's even in the lord's prayer... "on Earth as it is in Heaven" as above, so below. It's saying "god, who is in heaven, help me handle all this stuff I deal with on earth, so that the below can be as above." It's all fun and games in christianity until you start calling paul a heretic and cite the gospels against his fool scribbling preceding end times prophecy about everyone worshipping the devil. Everyone thinks they'll be the exception and it's long in the future because the church acts as vanguard against the antichrist. Sweet in the mouth and bitter/sour in the stomach, indeed.

God can completely transform ANYONE no matter how hopeless and unloved they feel! In this way, I hope that God can open your heart so that you stop rejecting Him. Lucifer is not God. I'm sorry if you are extremely confused by demons and cotrines of demons, but God is actually in charge. You Paul-deniers are all the same. You all cannot even READ Paul and yet you claim he says the opposite of what he does. It is both sick and sad. I pity your kind.

What is Jewish Mysticism? It is the first study about matters of the soul and how they concern to the physical reality as a whole: our lives -and everything they encompass-, the lives of those around us -and everything they encompass-, and how these are in clear connection to the grand design behind the creation and manifestation of the world as we know it. NOTE: the word "God" is missing from the statement above, yet the presence of the Holy One, Blessed be He, is everywhere to be found.

Wonderfull dance of the oposites in these movements, some to the asceticsm and others to hedonism or the sacralization of the body, is like choosing the path of Dionisus or of Apolo, choose your path, let others choose their path and we can all be reunited and the sumit and what a wonder to listen all the others tales and adventures.

Some says that Shekhinah is the Holy Spirit in christianity

I think the Shekinah and Zion are both operational under the auspices of the Holy Spirit. Anything not either Father or Son is Holy Spirit who is Multi-Tasker

yes all religions are copies of each other but they use different words and stuff, and all abrahamic religions are inspired from the vedas and indian mysticism in general, god is the spirit keeping us alive, he's not far from us, he's the closest thing to us so it's not that hard to reach him, that's why prophets can emerge from anywhere in the world or even in the whole universe in different galaxies
@BatTsiyyonAryeh-lw2vc Жыл бұрын
@@ayoubzahiri1918 Shekinah is a unique concept. It's the light rainment, the "white robe.". God wraps Himself in His Shelkinah Glory which is the Unapproachable Light of His Presence. I do like that Kabbalah has taught me that the Shekinah is Bride of the Sabbath and look at what we see at Christ's Transfiguration, the Bride wraps the Lord of the Sabbath in Her Light which is the Shekinah Glory.

@@BatTsiyyonAryeh-lw2vc Shekinah is very much like Shakti in Hinduism, the more "active" eminent part of the divine while Bbramhan/ParaShiva/Purusha is more detached Perfect which is like Ain Sof and more detached and perfect and according to Hindu thought, "in its own delight/ecstasy".
@BatTsiyyonAryeh-lw2vc Жыл бұрын
@@bored78612 yes God is utterly Invisible (Dark) and Transcendent and His Shekinah is what we see of His Presence, His Cloak or feminine Escort. I believe Shekinah to be a essence of the Mother-Father Holy Spirit along with Zion who I consider to be the Palace of Lights or the Bridal Chamber. Either are feminine in nature. Rome would burn me at the stake. 😀

Esotericism is both in theory [academia] and practice, "reading with the astral script" or reading with imagination, inspiration and intuition . Body mind and spirit.
