I dedicate this song to my oldest sister, Nieva Yap, a huge fan of the Lettermen. She died of cancel last month, April 2011. Hearing the Lettermen sing always reminds me of her.... I hope that with your prayers, she will never walk alone in her path to eternity.... Sam Yap

My sisters and I saw the Lettermen's concert in Manila, Philippine Culture Center in 1974. We met them back stage after the show. That was a thrilling experience. I was always a Lettermen fan since 1960's. When I moved to Florida, my friends and I went to their concert in Ocala, FL. After the show, we took pictures with them. They are the greatest! More power to the Lettermen!

Not particularly nor overtly religious - Awhile ago, listening to the Lettermen would not have been cool for me - had no interest in such silly things - but OMG! - Now I cry every time I sing along to this song! - No idea what happened, but I love it - God Bless everyone who holds things like this valuable. This is absolutely the best rendition too. Thank you.

Phil - This is the version that I listen to when I'm down and in the dumps. Such meaningful lyrics. Also one one of my fave Lettermen albums!! Good tunes and one of their most underated lps as I've said many passed on it because they though it was a religious album...little do they know....

Perhaps it has been mentioned, but I always heard that the Lettermen were doing a concert at Marshall University the same evening that the football team plane crashed while returning from an away game. The news of the tragedy had just reached the concert goers and the performers, and the Lettermen dedicated this song to the friends and families of the victims. One can only imagine how emotional that performance must have been.
