I just had this exact experience. I watched two amazing reviews and the wigs were really expensive. On the other hand, the budget wigs have other issues. Over the years I have spent a small fortune on budget wigs because I keep searching for 'the one' which in fairness has changed. But I am a bit more ready to invest in a good wig that I really love.

Wig prices have escalated like crazy since the pandemic. Corporate greed has us all in a chokehold. Why? Because they can. I thought I'd fall off my chair when I saw a heat-friendly synthetic (short shelf life) by Ellen Wille retailing for over $600. That's HH prices! After a dozen wears, it will be toast! I started in 2019 with the fanciest pieces costing around $200 - I vowed never to pay more than that for any wig. Now, if I want nice cap features, it's $300-400. We should revolt. 😂 But because it's our hair, we give in (at least I do). I buy used, clearances, etc. to try and save when I can. But honestly, I've cut way back on buying. It is such a racket.

I know I am late to the comments here, but why are the "women of color" wigs so cute and really, incredibly priced to move off shelves? I just can't put off a #1B black rooting and 14kt gold chunky highlights - I've tried but it doesn't doesn't even come close to anything realistic....
