I bought my first Hanayama Puzzle today. The level 1 loop. Solved it myself without any guides, but I have to admit, it was beautifully made and feels so good in the hands. Thankfully, the package included the list of puzzles so I'll enjoy ticking them off as I go along. Thanks for introducing them so well.

Agreed. I just got it and the move is fantastic. But as you play with it more, the puzzle gets looser and more easy to solve by accident.

I was in the marine corps, and I am trained to notice slight differences in images, maps, videos, pretty much anything after being watched a time or two. a couple of your tricks i watch, i try to find out what happened and where they happened. some i can catch and some i don't however i love this channel and i like how you switch up between magic and puzzles. keeps the mind guessing, and it is great to watch. Thanks a lot, keep up the great work... i look forward to watching these things while im sitting at my desk at work with nothing to do!

For the cast flag, i "break" the flags. you do a split, then rotate them, turn them, rotate and turn again, and then flip so you can remove one half out of the large channel, and move the other one back.

*Chris!!!!* You've never seen this when I comment! Could you possibly get a camera angle of your face while solving a puzzle? I love watching people tinker, I find it so satisfying. Atleast for one vid!??! Please and thank you. ✌
@patientred32034 жыл бұрын
That's so interesting! Whether it's puzzles, or something else where you're in "the zone", I feel the face becomes it's most honest, because thinking about anything related to your face doesn't happen when it would take up zone space in things like tinkering! I also feel that making a conscious choice to show ones face during that time, would be a good bit of an adjustment, because knowing you've changed the camera to see your completely unmasked, honest face -- doing so can invade the honesty of your face and disrupt the brain space of your zone, because you have to be a lot more vulnerable to not be self conscious one you know the parts of yourself you are not familiar with are being made visible. It's a whole other level than saying, "here I am, here's what I'm talking about and why I like it", because that shit is planned to go a certain way and you can get comfortable with it beforehand, instead of knowing your face is visible that time you just realized you lost track and made a lot of missteps, and your face is doing something that you yourself have never seen or paid attention to. I think you're right, seeing tinkering faces are all awesome, in part for the same reasons that it can be hard to film.

Really loved the intro magic, Chris! :) Also, I remember when a friend showed me that diamond Hanayama and I took 2 beers and 20 minutes to fail. Then they smiled, placed it in my hand 1 step away from that spin move and my mind was blown and day was made :D
@kevinharris18825 жыл бұрын
Right, got it. Teleportation is limited to about 40 feet. When the puzzles started I'm like pshaww I could solve all of these easy. The keys would have broke me for a bit, and the diamond definitely would a taken a while but the answer is still really cool. Also that's like 70 hanayama puzzles!
@TurinAlexander5 жыл бұрын
I've been playing around with Hanayama puzzles for a few years now. Right now I'm working on one called Twist. It's a two piece level 4, and it's been kicking my ass. I keep getting back to the beginning on it. Would love to see you feature that one in a future vid.
@walkingmarshmallow68953 жыл бұрын
I think the thing about that diamond is that the way it slips just feels slick, and for only two pieces of metal, it remarkably feels like water, or quicksilver, and the flag puzzle has such a simple solution once you solve it enough that you can use it as a fidget toy, and because it's metal, you can have a little force without breaking it. Do be careful tho.
@walkingmarshmallow68953 жыл бұрын
Also, I say this like I didn't get broken from a level three, but I mean...
