This was also 1984. I know Mark was a heavy drinker though. There's an interview on KZbin after the breakup of the original group (actually, after the release of Staring at the Sun) where he talks about getting his life back on track, which involved no more drinking

I've loved this solo for years! Just hate the low keyboard sound and phils snare sounds! But the solo/jaydee makes up for it :) Thanks for posting it!

The low keyboard rumble runs through some of the bass solo, I think mark looks across to mike to wonder what it is, and the snare at first sounds like a elecric snare, not phils usual crisp snare. Also, my face goes a bit like that during a good frenetic bass solo - you can't help it, mark can be a very aggressive player (like me!) soit comes out facially!

Yeah. I love my Jaydee series 1 in sunburst like the one on the 'Chinese Way top of the pops' video. I do love his new Status Kingbass but i also wish that he would change to a different bass for different songs as the JD has a more brassy sound compared to the more metallic sound of the Status. And gatta love his Pangborn.

i think Mike was singing "we can't play no more" near the end and Mark cracked up but kept right on playing.
