What is it?
Level Up! is an idea of two Polish artists - Wojtek Fus and Darek Zabrocki, who want to teach people and learn from each other. Recently, Level Up has expanded its host team with the amazing Jonas De Ro! Join weekly, 2-hours long livestreams with critiques, overpaintings and Q&A’s with industry professionals.
It’s free and open for everybody!
What is it not?
Level Up! is not a self-promotion platform. Though we love all good art, this group is not the place to shop for likes and followers. If you are a professional and want to share your work, please ask for critiques, overpaints or feedback, or try to explain about your work in a way that teaches others. Start a dialogue so that everyone can benefit!
Where?
Our user community is based right here in this Facebook group.
Sessions can be watched every sunday live or streamed afterwards
on our KZbin channel
bit.ly/1lmqy8C
How?
If you want to submit art to get a critique/ask questions/get an overpaint - join our Facebook group and post your work there! Or just send us your artwork via email!

Blows my mind when Feng said that Scott Robertson opened his eyes. I'm a huge fan of both. Level Up's + Feng's + Scott's have the best free channels to learn from. When I get good at this and earn enough, i'll make donations cuz these guys deserve all the help they could get. The world needs more guys like you, thank you.

the advice that Feng passes at/after 36:30 is the truest, realest and purest advice I have heard. Its why we dedicate our lives to a profession like this one and got into this business in the first place(at least for me). Unfortunately the overload of internet resources and constant sharing has made this side fade away. The fact that people do work for others to 'like' on forums and social media is a proof of it.

I have, but would you rather experience it by black and white or would you rather take the physical experience in experiencing it? Anyways, don't just accuse me for saying it, I'm sure many people will violently object towards you.

His concepts don't look anything like Dark Souls.
@Rozenque74

He's only wanted to capture the environment and atmosphere. If he draw the actual Dark Souls, he has to deals with license stuffs.
@kardrasa
@kardrasa 10 жыл бұрын
That's MY point. He didn't capture the feel of Dark Souls. He just drew a generic looking fantasy setting.
@popofabulous
@popofabulous 10 жыл бұрын
Yeah bro, He cranked out 2 great looking pieces while doing Q and A in an hour and a half but it doesn't look exactly like dark souls so he sucks ass. Your a fucking idiot kardrasa. It's also supposed to be concept art not tribute art. As in possibly a new direction to take a level or a cool new take on something they already did. Feng Zhu is amazing generic or not.

:D lol whenever I hear from professional artists something like 'when I was young i spent 12-16 hours drawing per day" I wonder HOW ! I am young and have barely 4-8 hours free per day. ._. where did I made a mistake ? haha
@DesignInNature
@DesignInNature 7 жыл бұрын
Misticblair It means they were sleeping only about 5 hours, not watching TV, and not wasting time on social media. If you're young (But NOT a child) you could probably get up at 5:30 AM and practice for one hour or more, before even going to school. You could sketch during classes that are easy for you, during break or after completing classwork when you have time to spare. During commutes if you take the bus or metro to and from school, etc... Then once you get home, you would eat lunch and do your school work and probably be done by 5:00 P.M. Then from 5 until about 11, you have about 6 more hours to practice before bed, bringing the daily total to 8+ hours on weekdays. As for weekends, you could put in about 12 hours on Saturday and 12 hours on Sunday. The best way is to work for 50 minutes straight and pause for 10 minutes to rest your eyes , strech your muscles and pee. If anyone thinks in terms of "Oh my god, when would I have fun and chill?". The simple answer is: Drawing and coming up with design ideas SHOULD be more fun and addicting to you than playing video games or watching tv. You should NOT want to stop drawing and learning new things. If the work sounds tedious to you, then probably this career is not for you. I don't know of a single successful concept artist who did not feel this way when they were learning. Feng has repeatedly said that during his years at art center, he would keep practicing way past 2:00 A.M.. Best of luck to you in your path.
