You are back and with a Turkish dessert inspired cake 😱 I missed you. Btw Turkish baklava is mostly known for having pistachios in it. Greek baklava has, I think walnuts in it. But here in Turkey we make it both ways. It doesnt matter where it is from as long as it is authentic and delicious 😊 And also your simple syrup recipe is a widely used recipe here in Turkey. We use it to coat pastry and make variety of desserts just like Baklava. They are generally called 'Sherbet desserts' I am sad that Orhan didnt teach you about Turkish desserts 😄

You sure need to try baklava, just not with the cake lol. It's already sweet on it's own. With cake, it'd just be too much. You might wanna try baklava with cream. It tastes amazing, but the cake- well at least in my opinion isn't the brightest idea.
