Dr. Robert Lustig for Nobel Prize! Unfortunately he doesn’t need the background music! He’s voice is healing. Genuine master class🙏🏾
@micaonyx5301

I read soooo often how someone should get the noble prize and it's getting annoying. For goodness sakes people please use half a brain and look up the requirements for the noble prize. It's for a NEW DISCOVERY, that was unknown before. Although what the good doctor is saying is very important and informative it's NOT a new discovery and isn't anything new that someone with the time and desires couldn't research on their own because the information he's giving us isn't new. The info is just compressed in a one plus hour video for the layman to understand without doing the work of seeing it out on their own 🤔

One of THE BEST videos!!! I love the simple breakdown of everything. As an EMT, part of our care is to educate patients and their families and I love doing that. When I explain to them on simple terms, most people are blown away and tell me why doesn’t my doctor explain this to me!! And then I also explain why and how health system works (not health CARE).

I am a doctor and by chance stumbled on a lecture he gave at a conference in California a decade or two ago. I was blown away with all this new research by him and other many colleagues who I also follow. Most docs don't know this stuff just like they didn't know about Covid. He is a national treasure and he saved my life after my heart attack. Listen to Bob.

May 21 4:00pm CST. After watching a couple of Dr. Lustig's KZbin videos, I cut sugar out of my diet in Summer 2023. No desserts, no gluten, no "white" foods like rice and potatoes, and I have lost 94 pounds so far, down from 281. I have about 50 pounds to go. I wish I'd discovered Dr. Lustig sooner because on May 28, I will have my first of two total knee replacement "revision" surgeries. Yep, that's right - I blew my knees out because I gained back all the weight I lost before my first pair of knee surgeries in 2019. I learned my lesson. I changed my eating habits. The weight will stay off this time.

Dr. Lustig’s explanation of the metabolic process is so clear. For people like me with no biomedical background, I appreciate his insightful but simple explanation, it’s so fascinating. His message is clear, eat a balanced diet and get regular exercise. No matter where I go in America, I see so many people that are not just over weight, but morbidly so - not that I couldn’t stand to lose a few pounds myself. But it does boggle my mind. I know people that are taking insulin for type 2 diabetes and would rather inject themselves every day as opposed to changing their diet. Think of the disease we could prevent or push off if we took these simple steps! Thank you Dr. Lustig!

But 110% well of it all!! Try Dr Carlson, Dr Berry, @glucosegoddess with podcasts that are mind blowing. Started my non-verbal autistic daughter and son with CP and ADHD and within 3 days I seen positive results. Who knew??? Apparently all but me lol. that is an amazing lecture and I believe it's sufficient for an ordinary person to navigate in this informational ocean of very polar opinions we have nowadays. I can't describe how important it is, it clears so many "grey areas"of nutrition for me personally. I'm trying to stick to whole food clean keto but I also found how beneficial high fiber diet is for me and I understand that without supplements I can't combine both, because if you get fiber though food you're getting it with higher amount of carbs than keto suggests. And there's actual explanation and guideline for me personally how to operate further, it's brilliant! Thank you for this video, it's of immense help!

Tons of respect for Dr Lustig, who has been a trailblazer in the field. However I do think he overcooks the role of fiber a bit too much. Invariably people with severe gut issues (Crohns, ulcerative colitis etc) do much better on a low fiber or no fiber diet, which should pique our attention. Certainly those on keto, ketovore or carnivore don't miss the fiber also. Instead of worrying so much about feeding an expected 'normal' type of microbiome, how about just change the microbiome that you have, by eating a certain way? There's plenty of butyrate to be had in keto - carnivore devotees. And invariably those on low carb diets, once adapted, find that their bowels have never been better.

@@timsmith3689 Yes Tim, you're SPOT ON! We don't need ANY fibre, & on this subject Lustig is full of shit!

Fibre is a waste product. This is why the body wants to get rid of it. But if you eat a lot of sugary food you need it.

@@nevillegoddard4966There are here on youtube multiple videos of lectures and interviews where I,ve heard Dr Lustig say that carnivores can do fine with no fiber. But in the context of carbohydrate bearing plant based or omnivorous diets it seems to me that Dr Lustigs statements about fiber are supported by lots of good data especially in recent years

Love Dr. Lustig's energy and courage in facing down the industrial food industry- he has taught me so much. But I hope Dr. Lustig will begin to include data on hormone deficiencies in women to describe the fat shift from subcutaneous to visceral in women with the loss of estrogen through ovarian senescence from a physiologically healthy level to zero. Sleep, bone, brain deprivation equals severe stress to the body.

Dear Dr Casey, if you read comments, I wanted to thank you. ❤ And tell you that in Spain the "normal" glucose maximum is up 105 ml/dL. I have 101 and according to Spanish medicine I'm fine! My doctor didn't say a word. So now I'm searching for a laboratory to do the fasting insuline. It's a challenge. Thanks to you I discovered I'm prediabetic. 😢

Thank you Dr Lustiq... Your explanation in this video is really very good... Though it's a long video, it is so interesting, I watched the entire video! I want to share it with families and friends. Most of us, have only a vague idea of insulin resistance, effects of fructose, fats, etc. Your explanation have covered these in fair and easy to understand detail.

This is why 14 years ago using Weight Watchers to learn how to choose wiser foods & portion control....I lost 92 pounds!! I USED LEAN CUISINE for variety if I didn't want to cook at times ~ I ate them every week. The amounts of starch, pasta, rice carrots , potatoes, for example is very minimal in that portion....it works beautifully.
