Looks good man! Enjoy the journey. Last june i started the 1947 model Made in USA. Soaked warm water for 30 minutes while wearing them. i love them to bits. Looking at the 54 model or 66 model next next

Not only did they shrink, the wash and rinse water were really dark blue. It’s amazing how expensive they are now!

Thanks. I wish Levi's would be more specific about sizing and/or give proper instructions for stf jeans. I bought a pair of 93 vintage slim tapers a few years ago. Wore them once, loved them (bought my exact size) washed once, then I looked like Steve urkel. Ended up donating them after one wear. Now I buy exact and just wash cold, don't dry.

It all depends on how u like ur jeans If u like a perfect fit go one size up but if u prefer the looser fit....buy 2 sizes up plus ur jean will stretch if u wear ‘em a couple of days just like corduroy

If only i could get this cut with button fly. for now im still sticking with lvc 1966 but the leg opening is still wider than 1954. never been a fan of zip fly but i might just go for 1954 next as the cut is perfect.

You got it! I work for jean company, and I can tell you that not washing them is the best you can do to keep the original color. However, don't fall into a concept that you can keep a garments in its original form for a long time, especially denim. The fabric is designed to fade and it will fade every time you wash it; with or without detergent. But, that's the fun of it. You just buy a new one, one after another.

If you prefer raw unwashed denim, I would to suggest you to look for Sanforized denim jeans. So you can keep it unwashed, they still will fade eventually, but it’s the fun of it. (Lee 101Z jeans for example)

I would say the 501 is an evergeen jeans. Eventough the fashion today got slim fit and skinny fit jeans but nothing can beat the 501. The 501 stick to their original cutting which is the straight cut but to me, it still the best jeans to wear and always in trend.

Scusami ma da così non posso sapere cosa consigliarti... ovviamente il metodo migliore è andare in negozio e provarli, e soprattutto provare anche taglie diverse per capire quale fa al caso tuo ;)... magari il 501 uno non sta come vorresti e puoi trovare altri modelli (come il 511, 505, 502 e ce ne sono tanti altri)... ho un paio di 502 e quelli stanno molto bene corti senza risvolto

The dea is not wash them after at least 6 months of use or perhaps longer then wash them in color water and dry them by just hanging them but first wear them for a long time

Mado quanto son belli ahha grande ti faccio due domande scusami: la prima è dove li hai comprati molto semplice ahah la seconda è se secondo te io essendo un 33w 32L mi conviene prendere eventualmente un 34w 33L e domanda bonus è se secondo te è meglio indossarseli in vasca con acqua calda o semplicemente fare un classico lavaggio 30°C 30 minuti e dopo lasciarli asciugare al sole distesi (oppure addosso?) ciao! grazie! li ho presi da Protec a Bologna :) ... per la taglia dipende tutto da come li vuoi vestire... io so che generalmente si restringono di una misura in vita e due in lunghezza, quindi se ti piacciono con i risvolti o li vuoi portare più corti. io li ho lavati a 30gradi apposta per avere meno shrink possibile per non rischiare. Li ho fatti asciugare normalmente e li ho indossati un po' solo da umidi per provarli, poi rimessi ad asciugare

I think nothing bad happens until you wash them separately from other things. I made a gentle wash with the minimun spinning and cold water and then hang to dry in open air... another thing that usually ruin them is the machine dryer. So what i did was nothing too extreme from a hand wash or soak

It the drying part they makes them shrink...You use high heat. They will shrink as seen...It takes several drying cycles to get them to stop..Then that is the fit you will get. As they break in...

I bought them one size bigger in the waist and two size bigger in the lenght. And they came out perfect for me... the waist in raw was slightly bigger then the size tag

30 degree wash, mid spin all the way to not ruin your denim. If you want the electric blue highlights on your belt loops and pocket edges then iron the jeans when they are only 95% dry.

Yes, this process work only on Shrink to Fit denim. The Levis Vintage Clothing Collection still do this type of jeans. You can find normal Levis like this in the US market but you have to look for the “Shrink to Fit” model. Unsanforized denim were normal in the past. Modern denim is Sanforized so it will not shrink and get smaller after the first wash :)

Do you like way that when a cigarette gets rubbed or stubbed against your Levis, they put the ember out and the ash just brushes off the denim. Other than cowhide leather, do you know of any other jeans that can take a cigarette and put it out, without leaving a mark on the denim.?

Hi! No, not All denim... levis made this shrink to fit jeans only for their high quality line called “levis vintage clothing”... maybe only in the U.S. Levis still sell normal shrink to fit jeans.

If you want a slim raw jeans I would suggest to look for other denim brands. You can check Lee 101, the denim is sanforized so it won’t shrink with washes and they have some more slim fitting jeans in raw denim.

Having bought Levis for 45 years..I can say I was an expert at washing the original ones. Same for the jackets.... You had to know what size to buy. Too get the fit you wanted before hand... Shame they charge you $100.00 for them today...

I haven't bought a pair since late 90s. They became rubbish anyway (in Europe, jeans made in Asia). The denim wouldn't last a year. Pity wasting such a great American product. Corporate greed.

I don’t know why Levi’s cannot duplicate the character of original early 1970’s and earlier denim.... but these LVC versions after a few washes bear pretty well zero resemblance to the originals. I’ve been wearing and buying vintage Levi’s since the 1980’s. Still wear vintage but getting increasingly hard to source originals. If LVC could make a decent version I’d be all in.....

If you are able to find the old stock or Made in USA LVC jeans, the denim is the same Cone Mills denim that was used for the old jeans. But yeah, vintage jeans always has some more special character.

First get yourself at least to sizes higher than your regular size, if you’re 34 get 36 and same with the legs you’re 30 then get 32. Them wear the for at least six months to a year, then when it comes to wash them wash them in cold water by hand inside out, used just a little bit of liquid detergent and do NOT dry them on a machine just hang them dry and you will have the most amazing fades on your jeans, Good Luck

Yes to size up by 2 sizes in the waist would be best. After some use they gain back some room in the size. Regarding the lenght I could not find 36inch inseam.
