Certainly there are viewers who will opine that this is someone else's material. But I submit that stand-up comedy is in the delivery. It is unlikely that anyone who thinks differently is in possession of a brain. Now that I have set the premise for your viewers, you just keep getting better, Mr. Lewis. You just keep gettin' fuckin' better! I figured you already knew that. You make me laugh out loud when I am by myself. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You help me get through this.

Re: your parrot story: When I was a small kid, a local dairy, Hawthorn Mellody, had a hobby farm that was open to the public. They had a milking barn, a small zoo, some kiddie rides, a replica of a Wild West town, and a train. My mom had brought us to the zoo, and she saw a ruckus between 2 peacocks. Being the animal lover she was, she rushed to find a zookeeper. "Come quick! The peacocks are fighting! They're hurting each other!" The keeper came over, peered into the enclosure, then turned to my mom and said, "Lady, they aren't fighting, they're making love!!" I still remember her raucous laughter when she told the story. "I felt like an idiot, but how was I supposed to know what peacocks look like when they're having sex?!?"

24:44 -- I learned about Hampton Roads in junior high history class in New Jersey because that is the body of water where the ironclads USS Monitor and CSS Virginia (aka USS Merrimack) clashed and stalemated in the first such naval battle ... I was also stationed at Fleet Marine Corps Atlantic HQ at Camp Elmore adjunct to the Norfolk Naval Base in the late 1980s, so I've known about Hampton Roads for 45 years and WHERE Hampton Roads is located for 35 years ... interesting that the area around the body of water has been renamed Hampton Roads, replacing "Tidewater" as the regional moniker ... /s/ USMC (Retired)

Hey Lewis, I love listening to your Rantcast! You are only one of a few that tell things as they actually are. If you ever come to Norfolk or Hampton Virginia, I'[ll be there to see you providing I can get out of my house. You see, I'm recently disabled and am having trouble getting anyone to build a wheelchair ramp for my home that doesn't cost me an arm and both legs (LOL like I have any legs left).

@@Jen7867 Thanks, but have already exhausted all local and State resources. The cheapest I can find is $1200.00 through a local Baptist Church. Which in itself isn't bad, but then again I haven't worked since loosing both my legs in late July 2022 due to a drunk illegal immigrant with no DL or insurance, plus she was in a stolen vehicle.

Hello, Earl. My heart goes out to you for your recent troubles. I wish I lived closer to you so that I might be able to help you a bit easier. But that is okay, I will try my best to help you here, online. 🙂 I am skilled at searching online, and I found a company called Ramps Across America. They definitely serve your area. You can apply at their website. I have listed it below. It says the ramp is free and the charge for the rest of it is based off of household income. (I realize that unfortunately, the cost is likely to still be way too expensive!! I honestly think these sort of accomodations should be covered through our taxes/a social safety net). If you find that this is still too expensive, please don't give up- Ask them if they know of any other options, and just keep asking around until you find a reputable business, non-profit, or church that will help you. Lewis, I am proud to say that as of last night January 10 we have an assault weapons ban in Illinois. If you are already owning an assault rifle weapon you must register it with the state police. But you can’t buy anymore. Long guns can have a 10 bullet clip and shotguns can have a 15 bullet clip. I have no no idea how long this will last or how quickly the gun lobbies will drag us into court but at least for today the politicians that I voted for did what they promised they would do and tried to stop the madness. I know this isn’t funny but it’s honest and it’s true. Now if the rest of the country could just wake up or wake the fuck up We might get somewhere. Here’s to more children surviving in Illinois in 2023.
