No words, I loved this. You know, Musashi is in my opinion a scary character to talk about because he is insanely deep and complex, psychologically hard to decipher with accuracy, but you nailed it. You narrate the events while offering your insight on what a character thinks and the sequence of events, seamlessly. I really needed to relax and I was completely immersed in his journey thanks to you. You know, for me Vagabond has a very distinct vibe, I feel like I can breathe the air of the mountains Musashi climbs, the sound of a near river running by, the smell of local shops selling food fighting poverty and the electricity in the air whenever swords cross each other. I found this vibe reflected in the video too. Now I only need to catch up with other stories so I can watch the rest on your channel ahah! Oh and it seems like Inoue might come back to Vagabond in the future, I hope it’ll be soon
@lexaand Жыл бұрын
Glad to hear the video helped you chill for a bit! Musashi definitely goes through certain phases on his journey, but even between those, he's always changing. He learns about himself, his opponents, and the world as a whole. He's a great character to watch grow, that's for sure! The setting is also one that's hard to get tired of; everything about it feels simple, but in a good way. Just thinking back to certain events allows me to picture the specific environments related to them in my mind. I certainly appreciate what the manga has to offer in that regard. Hoping for a return to the series as well, would be great to see! If you do decide to check out other series I've discussed, I hope you enjoy them!

I really like the idea of looking everything by Musashi's eye. I mean, there are many important characters in the story, but amazes me that the autor made such a linear and coherent story only for the main character meanwhile developing others characters at the same time.

I figure it's super tough for inoue to come up with meaningful arcs and a great ending if his entire manga is based on a real person's life. If you watch alot of movies based on musicians lives, then you notice how screenwriters struggle to carve out a decent story from real people's lives. Especially if their lives are just ups and downs. Musashi life's is surprisingly well documented for a person who lived centuries ago. I think it's easier or more fun for inoue if he had a break from vagabond. Since it became too much of a stress factor for him
