The problem here is that Lex really just doesn't know the details on why these relationships fell apart. His heuristic is a fair one -that one shouldn't trust someones worst enemy to summarize their character- but its a complete nonstarter if your talking to that enemy. Destiny obviously believes he is justified in his view of Hasan and maybe he is, but Lex has good reason to be incredibly skeptical of everything Destiny has to say on that matter which just results in this circle of Lex saying Destiny should be more charitable and Destiny saying he has enough information to substantiate his view over and over.

I feel like this highlights something really vividly seeing Destiny try discuss topics with someone outside of that ''scene'' - a lot of these political streamers live in a weird bubble with their own strange and ultimately irrelevant dramas playing a much bigger role than they should, with their communities also by proxy in a similar bubble, and I say that as someone who watches from time to time, but doesn't partake or follow their internal politics (like I've never been in chat etc). Does anyone else get this impression? I quite liked Destiny on campus having discussions, but even so it's like these people are in their own world, almost like Aliens looking at the Earth and trying to join in on UN debates or something with no grounding in the real nitty gritty whatsoever, all they have is a little window into the real world armed with some random studies they've managed to pick up, but they don't really get them, they just look for gotchas to beat some other guy and their bubble. It's like they've gamified it and it only really works if you're also playing the same game. It feels like most of the discussions are fruitless because it's grounded in their reality but not actual reality, if that makes sense? It feels like a direct result of the people you interact with mostly being on Social Media and/or other streamers, and the Community aspect creating this weird dynamic of biases going unpunished etc.

They're in a perpetual echo-chamber and as a result whenever they interact with Reality (i.e., normalcy), they come off as if they've been living in a plastic bubble in the middle of Outer Space. Such is the case with social media echo-chambers. The problem with the Internet is that a million of these echo-chambers exist at any one time, and the deeper down the rabbit-hole a person goes, the less connected to Reality they become. We essentially have a society of disconnected antisocials who live in cyberspace, yet vote in Reality. Hence, this is partly why the politi-sphere is so lopsided towards the radical Left: most of these echo-chambers formulate a far-Left bias in direct connection to the general temperament of the kind of person who would choose to exist in cyberspace in the first place. It'd be a fascinating social experiment to study if the implications upon Reality weren't so terrifying, as we've bore witness to these past 6+ years.

The thing with Hasan is that if you get the chance that he speaks about something you're 100% informed on, you'll notice his takes are actually very surface level, sometimes not 100% true, and are simply being said with a tremendous amount of confidence, which gives people no room to doubt him.. This goes with what Destiny is saying here. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it makes you wonder how many people are actually aware of this.

If there's something Lex does is ask questions because he admits he doesn't know everything.

I'm only 40 seconds in, I saw Destiny say that "Hasan put's in a lot of work" and I immedately stopped watching, Hasan entire streams are him "reacting" to other people's videos, he plays videos made by someone else , makes bottom of the barrel commentary and then watches another video, he doesn't even look up for what videos watch himself he watches what his audience tells him, imagine if as some tard streaming himself watching TV. Destiny is a narcissist or sociopath (don't know in which category to put him, just a dude with no emotions,compulsive liar and manipulative) that for some weird reason a lot of people believe he is intelligent, he will contradict himself constantly and uses debate tactics all the time on top of lies, he will never clarify his position and constantly obfuscates as a way of confusing people so they will end up agreeing with him, just a waste of time. It's a good example of how you don't need to know anything or be anyone to make it as a political commentator, you just need to say the right things and people will listen to you, my personal theory is that people listen to people like Destiny because he plays vidyagames like them, is into internet culture like them, and the people watching him are too stupid to actually do something like listening to someone who is an expert or reading a book, it's similar to night political comedy shows that cover the news, all the audience are tards because those are the only people who will watch such thing, why would anyone care about the opinion of someone like Destiny, much less give him money? You need to be a complete wheelchair symbol.

I think lex is usually moreso trying to bring out the full truth in what his guests say. He doesn’t seem too interested in debating but rather having the guest be the one providing information to the podcast and him learning.
