Nice video. There is the relationship between some link and en electronic device. So the link help leveling the car, when it's broken the car is of level so the AFS is lighting up. There you have 3 choices to fix that: 1.replace the broken link, the AFS light will turn off by itself (George case😊). 2. Reset AFS without link replacement (see owner manual). 3. Take off the AFS fuse.

George, I had the exact same problem with my wife's rx400h and your video took me right to the problem, the linkage was broke on ride height sensor. I removed the linkage and used a piece of all thread, taped out the left handed treads, loosened up the stuck ball joint reassembled to the same length and back in business with no more blinking light and best of all no $$ thanks

Hi, George first I would like to thank you for your video about the AFS on your Lexus. However, the broken part that you show looks like a linkage to the suspension. When you made the fix we could not see how that part was replaced or what the replacement part looks like after the repair. We didn't see what issues the headlight had before the fix, or what the headlight looks like after the fix. At least we got to see your broken part and the flashing light. But there are still questions about the cost, where you found it or even showing it working, or how you even diagnosed the problem. But your video was a good picture and I thank you for your time.

Bottom of you’re steering wheel it haves a black symbol with a black bottom press and hold and it will automatically reset you’re light but it haves to be on.

Yes and no. Usually on a lexus this afs level link gets weak after some years of diving so it could of broke while vehicle was lifted

@@chrisblackburn4164 mine flashes because the sensor in the rear bumper is bad, there was no afs flashing and lights were moving horizontally because the front sensor was working fine, but some incompetent mechanics connected the car to their tester and since then it started flashing. I bought a tech stream tester hoping I can disconnect the rear sensor, but couldn't so far, will try again

AFS is for "Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS)". It's not related to some kind of stabiliser...

Yes it is. Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS) uses a link on each corner of the car, connected to the suspension, to determine the angle of the headlights...

For ES 350 it sound stupid but it works: Sit in the drivers seat in a normal position. Put your hand on your right leg/knee. slide your hand to the dash and follow the curve of the dash downwards. Keep sliding forward underneath the dash you will find two buttons. One to reset the tire pressure check and one for the AFS light.

@@moneytakinrichgnb8920 It measures your suspension and adjusts the headlights. It is like you keeping your eyes straight as you move your head up or down. I think I got a light after I replaced struts. The front seems a bit higher, but it went away.

Afs is adaptive front light system. Nothing to do with car leveling.

Yes it does, AFS precisely "adapts" to driving condition and one of the things that affect it, is the car level, say you are carrying 3 full grown adults in your rear seat and a trunkful of groceries, all that weight will make your car rear's squat which will cause in turn your front end to point higher. AFS compensates by lowering the headlight angle so you don't blind oncoming drivers.

This guy is right.... In the manual, AFS is an acronym for Adaptive Front lighting System... It has to do with the lights and how they turn when the car turns.

Yamasaki Honda I think the fuse is under the stealing wheel where you put in the scanner to clear the codes.
