Great video. My 2012 IS250 has the middle button for the Auto fresh air/recirculate

No sure when the changed but earlier years, 250 was Auto only and can only manually change via Techstream. Only 350 and F got the auto option.

Thanks for the new video !!!!!! Hoping when i watch closer my TPMS might have a hidden menu I have not found yet. Initially my existing ones have 8 digit code with a $ in front (in the reader) my new sensors have 8 digit codes/serial number. interesting. With luck when I install new tires and they put in new sensors, they will do it all for free, but if they want $80 or something, hoping this tool will do it when I look around more. So far on reader I found my way to TPMS that suggests I need to have other device ready to trigger each sensor at the tire to continue. I just backed out and save for another day

No need to trigger sensors. You can program the hex codes in and then you have them in the wheels and pressurized they will transmit.

I wonder if then device lets you reprogram the TPMS once already installed without manualy inputting the code before registration.

No, you have to enter the codes again. Because it overwrites the old codes. That’s what I keep a copy of my codes. I had a Lexus tech once accidentally overwrite my stock wheels. They had to break the bead to read the codes next time I came by with my stock wheels to reprogram it. This was before they made the Bartec code reader that can scan the wheel.

Will this read the hybrid battery in Toyota Camry Hybrid and can I use it to shut off the annoying seat belt beeper?

It should be able to do anything the dealer software will do. For sure the seat belt, but I think there’s a way to disable via key press and seat belt clipping, it’s in the owners manual.

All of these customisable options are already available in the options menu on the vehicle. The scanner doesn't appear to allow you to add features, only manipulate those already installed.

It doesn’t add features. It allows you to adjust personal settings within those features or turn them on or off.

Just an FYI it seems they have a bad batch of these @ Amazon. I ordered one halfway through your first video. It didn't last long enough to patch it to current before the screen went blank and unresponsive. I sent it back and got a new one. This one patched up... diagnosed and cleared codes on my 2008 IS250 and I thought all was well. When I went to use it after that on my mom's Camry it powered up for about 20 seconds then went blank. I'm sending it back again hopefully nobody else has this problem.

Hi Binh, great video, question for you, the link you provided has 2 options for the Toyota scanners, one is Elite Toyota and the other just said Toyota. What's the difference between those two? Thank you sir.

No idea on that. It might be a cluster thing since it may have different cluster on Fsport.

It will only read OBD errors but you gotta select the regular OBD scanner app on the home screen.

I know the key blade is completely different, but still.. Alternatively, do you know where i can buy a keyfob shell swap for 2is to 3is looking? Again the keyblade is not important...

Only keys for specific years work. Even on 2IS, there are two or three variations. They do have aftermarket big modern Fobs on AliExpress. Haven’t used it but there are guys on the FB groups with them.

I have a LEXUS 250-year 2009, after receiving the launch OBD2 scanner and after I have got the TPMS X 4 installed, at the tyer shop, I tried programing it I followed your video step by step. when choose TPMS, the tool is reporting "ECU communication error" I called my friend who had IS250C, and we got same error in his car as well. anything wrong with are ECU'S? maybe they cannot be programed for TPMS? I note that car never had TPMS before. Does it make any difference ?

I assume the AUS didn’t require TPMS so it doesn’t have the modules. When you scan the diagnostic it may not show the TPMS module. The USA government mandated it from 2006+.

@@yoren2007 I doubt it can be added. There is programming and wiring that may not be there the module is a blue box on top of radio. Below the vent.

The same companies/distributers have a lot of presence on E-Bay. I sent emails and got answers to the Ebay address from same as listed Amazon contact. I'm not sure if KZbin allows links or deletes them later. I got my Honda one and think I'll keep it, some stuff I wanted to work does not for my 2008 , but enough other stuff it's worth it. Wish I had it before I paid $90 to program 2 keys because it looks like that would work. Not seeing as an option: the ability to shut off your engine and keep the audio on until the door opens. This is the single most infuriating thing about the 2nd gen IS. The only “hack“ that I found is shutting off the car while it’s in drive - which keeps the audio/media running, then put it in park afterwards. Nonsense. No NPR driveway moments here. 😂
