The LC is a dramatically underrated car. In my eyes a great Japanese design, with outstanding Build-quality and an engine to remember. It is a "buy and keep for the rest of your life" car to do grand tours with. Which means it will appeal to very very few people. If I had the cash I would buy one as a second car. However, I‘d choose the Coupé over the Convertible any day of the week.

22:30 No it does not. You guys are incorrect. There is nothing being played but the engine. There are tubes that funnel sound from the engine bay in through the firewall into the cabin. Lexus made a big deal about this at launch. You must have overlooked it. Its all natural. SO if you have an issue that's on you. Placebo effect. It also means you are bias and cannot hold a true unbias opinion on the topic.

I have had my LC500 Sport + coup in Sonic Red a week now and absolute love it, it think the coup lines are much more pleasing on the eye than the soft top. I test drove the BMW 8 series and the Merc S class coup but I bought the LC because of its futuristic looks and individuality. Every where I go in the UK people stop and ask me about the car, it’s a real head turner.

That’s exactly why I love Lexus. They still have that air of exclusivity that BMW/Mercedes etc have lost. Seeing a Lexus on the road is still a bit of an event. Seeing a BMW is a bit like seeing a Ford. It’s just not that special anymore

Another benefit over the BMW - it won't explode in metal parts and glowing check engine lights in exactly 1 year and 11 months (one week after the warranty runs out) :P Good choice! Agree about the coupé vs cab.

@@LasseDeleuran Thanks lasse for replying with the correct information. That´s what I thought. So Thomas.....I am normally a big fan of your reviews. Often times on cars i have and therefore know something about, like the Defender and the SL, I think you nail it. Well done. But here, in this review, you messed up. You first off, while no one expects you to get every technical point correct , you should yourself go back and comment here with the correct information. But more importantly, it is no surprise while you putz around on these little narrow country roads in this car that, as a naturally aspirated V8 needs good long winding roads to excel, you litter your commentary with phrases like yah....its ok...it´s not that suitable.....its not the best.....Etc. Half of what this car is about is the exhaust on this V8. It’s clear you don`t like this car. And that´s ok. Just say so. But be careful......whether you intended it or not....you come across here as very biased. You normally seem very unbiased and balanced , but here you clearly communicate, since it´s not German or Italian or even English...its just ok. Since you have not come back here to correct your misinformation about piped in sound, I feel completed to encourage your viewers who are thinking about this car to look at Topher, Winding Road, Savagegeese and Smoking Tire. They get out there and really open up this car and you will get a totally different perspective to driving around on a rainy tiny narrow road through cute villages at 50km.

Thank you very much for your interest in this topic. As a start, please tune in to what the animal leather industry tried to do here with our channel: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIHCdKmCocZ5oqs In general, depending on the animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter. However even if meat would be the reason no.1 in other cases, the hide remains one of the most profitable body parts. That means: If manufacturers put animal leather in a car and you accept it as a customer, you give your money to an industry that earns money by oppressing humans, animals and destroys the environment, you make them more profitable. Also, if you turn the argument around "meat is the waste of the leather industry" you realize how biased the argument is. After all, would you care for which body part you would murdered? Or imagine someone robs you on the street and beats you to death - would it matter to you if it was for your Smartphone or for your purse? The animal agriculture industry occupies 2/3 of all farm land on this planet which cannot be used for direct human nutrition then. That is extremely inefficient. The no.1 cause for deforestation is the animal industry. It is also one of the biggest contributor to climate change. The amount of land, resources, energy and water being used is beyond imagination. If you are interested in how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpzNdHSjppaSbqc Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally. For the alternative, you can either use artificial fabrics which can be made from recyclables (we have already shown a lot of vehicles that use great fabric seats from PET-bottles etc.) or more and more also from plant-based materials (like Pinatex). And even if you would create a seat completely with petroleum without a recycling share, the amount of oil being used for that is nothing in comparing just to once fueling up your car. In practical reasons, fabric or microfibre seats are just more useful. You do not sweat in summer and it is not cold in winter. And there are also new leatherette materials available which are superior in every aspect: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2qXiouAbJeIiqM Using animal skin on seats is a major issue of animal rights, human rights - and after all just of common sense what is better both for the environment and just more practical and more luxurious for the customer. We cannot change what we have bought in the past (that also counts for ourselves of course!), but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future.

After all, would you care for which exact body part you would be murdered? And if you want the slick look or something to wipe clean easier, that is possible with animal free leatherette. Using animal skin on seats is a major issue of animal rights, human rights - and after all it is just common sense what is better both for the environment and just more practical and more luxurious for the customer. We cannot change what we have bought in the past (that also counts for ourselves of course!), but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future.

@@autogefuehl I like your reviews in general, Thomas, you are very thorough. This review, however, was not one of your best... As to animal rights etc., I want to give you a piece of advice - do not use your Autogefühl chanel to promote your vegan point of view - open another one for this purpose. (Obviously, it's your channel, and you can do whatever you want.) Personally, having lived in Western Europe for almost 20 years now, I start being fed up with ecology talk, animal rights and electrification of the auto industry... I have a right to think and act differently, so I eat meat at times and love it, drive a good V6 Lexus with real leather seats and enjoy my life - we only live once. I am ecology sensitive, but I do not belong to the Green Peace group of people: it's all about politics and money, "ecology" is the means to get more of it...

Look a cow in the eye and tell her "I am fed up with eco talk". It's about lives here, not about abstract figures.

A real driving auto review here. This Toyota has a Bang up exterior and a confusing interior with a track pad and feke engine noise. I'd spend my $$$$ on a BMW M8 than this for a two door Luxury Coupe that give be both and more so of today tech and features.

The new BMW’s are the kings of fake engine noises 😂 M8 is no exception

fool, there's nothing fake from the exhaust of the LC500...get your facts straight..! And, BMW's and Porsches around here are a dime a dozen and don't get noticed at all... except when they are heading to the mechanic again..

@@bbqpitboys I don't buy cars for others too Look at Me. In Styling it goes both ways out then in and the interior is lacking for it style and dated track pad and no touch screen with that dash. My point.. Why it don't sell as much as BMW or Porsche and have Manuals too that I prefer and love for control driving than just riding... 🤔😎

@@QuietStormX you base your opinion on the track pad which is actually easy to use once you take the time to learn? -besides voice control takes care of most functions.. the manual argument is lame. I grew up on manuals but this 10 speed will out-perform your stick in a heartbeat. Pound thru the lightning fast manual mode with the paddles if ya must.. The M8 is a 4 door baby carrier, has 600 hp but why? a boring design actually, needs to have a mechanic on stand by as we all know and sells for $150,000 and up... what are you talking about?
