For me personally, I've always found coupes to be much sexier than convertibles, whether it be top up or top down. That low and sleek roofline just makes it soooooo nice.

Although I do prefer the convertible.. The Coupe has more advantages than just handling. 1.) It's almost .1 seconds faster 0-60 2.) better cabin insulation than the convertible (assuming convertible has top up) 3.) 1 less thing to worry about reliability wise 4.) Lower cost by like 8 grand 5.) better looking Convertible STILL better though stylistically , but if it was a sportier / performance based car I'd say get coupe.

@@liquidcooled1 I actually got a 2019 one with about 25k miles for 76K. You can kind of take advantage of the depreciation if you get a 2018 or 2019 one

2019s and up are the best year to get the LC. 2018s rode kinda rough and transmission was reprogrammed for better street response for 2019/2020. 2021 got a few more enhancements but 19/20 is perfect

Hats off to Toyota-Lexus on this one, truly. This might be the greatest looking coupe in the 100k and under segment ever designed and built. People always say that the LFA was a billion dollar fail due to lack of sales, but what they fail to understand is that the R&D that went into the LFA facility and tech was meant to trickle down for the foreseeable generations to come. Congrats on owning the baby LFA sir, I’m keeping an eye on a couple in the mid 60k range myself; though I should probably get a house with my own garage first 😂

Good job again. I'm going to chime in for what it's worth. The convertible does get "looks". It really is something to behold because it gets people dreaming of those beautiful days when the weather is simply perfect and you get to put the top down and go for a great drive. What could be better? On the flip side, how many days per year are we really talking about? And, of those days, how many days per year do we actually have nothing to do but go for a drive? As a matter of practicality, this car finishes second to the coupe. Also, with the top up, I think it isn't anywhere near as beautiful as the coupe. But, with the top down....oh yeah....it wins. Each person has to ask themselves that same old question. "Do I want this car or do I need this car"? Nobody really NEEDS a convertible. So, if you buy it, it's because you WANT IT. But, when it comes to day in and day out....most of the time driving....I think the coupe is the only choice. As for the performance of both cars, who really needs any more than this? Almost 500 hp is enough for fun driving, safe driving and practical driving. Those guys who have to have something faster will never be happy. Those are the guys who wind up killing themselves or somebody else because they are not trained to handle that kind of power. The LC 500 is a perfect car for somebody who wants a Grand Tourer that is not only breathtakingly beautiful but reliable as hell. In the GT category, there isn't a better car on the market today. The last thing I would say and again....it's only my opinion....would be to leave the car alone. Guys who do "mods" wind up screwing up a rolling work of art with their huge black wheels, carbon fiber doo-hickeys and bolt on body parts. Of course, it's their car so they can certainly do what they want but all they are doing is cheapening the look and ruining the engineering.

As a BMW owner, I’ve always noticed that the 4 Series is softer than the 3, but these so called car reviewers don’t understand why the 4 Series doesn’t feel like the 3, because “it’s just a 3 Series coupe.” 😂

I just bought the 2021touring coupe and I think it rides good , the one thing that doesn't help the ride are the runflat tires , it makes impacts well known . I will be changing out to normal tires when they wear out for sure , this car is so beautiful and is so smooth I really really love it!!!!

Massive congrats my friend wow Im so happy for you. Yea I did think about swapping out the run flats at first but it's hard to find tires for this 21" setup. And this car really doesn't have a spare so I didn't want to risk it. Lexus designed and developed this car according to its weight and performance to use the bridgestone, michelin, or Dunlop run flat but let me know what tire you get and how it effects the vehicle, I've always been very curious. I love the vert… but the coupe in red has that body line at the rear upper fender in the transition to the Rear that really makes it truly special to me. Ps: I am obsessed with my gray coupe so no one listen to my biased opinion 😂🤷🏾‍♂️

My 2021 Nori Green Pearl is exquisite and I’m pretty sure there are not big difference between the years because of Lexus Experience doing cars perhaps small little details that I’m sure we won’t notice it.

My 19 LS 500, 2 wd V6 twin turbo at under 3.5 liters is Lexus-rated at 4.6, the same as this "bad boy." What gives? Hope the seating position is an improvement over the LS. I am short and fat and feel like I am nearly lying back racing. Kevin, always delighted to find your new videos; you are top-shelf for Lexus informative reviews. Coupe... better handling and looks better with the top up (obviously). It's not a slight difference, but perhaps to the layman. I think you just need to be a convertible person otherwise.. I've had sunroofs on my last half dozen cars and can count on both hands how many times I collectively used them all. I don't like people looking into my car while I'm driving (tint) and I like to enjoy music, which acoustically superior with a real roof.

Is it fair to say that the dynamic handling package (with active rear wheel steering and limited slip differential) is exclusive to the coupe? Also, is there a sunroof option for the coupe? Thanks I'm advance. Test driving one tmr. Price of the used one isn't that far off from new strangely.

I bought a 2014 IS250c and love it so far (day 16 of ownership) it is the hardtop and I wonder why Lexus went with soft top on the LC? I would have to go with the coupe over a soft top due to security issues. I plan on upgrading to the RC F in near future but the bright red leather in my is250c is very nice. I'll probably end up keeping this is the family (pass down to my son)

There's been rumors about an LC F and it was under development because Lexus uses a twin turbo V8 in the LC Race car. Then they said they are going to stop development of the LC F due to covid and lack of demand but now there is talk that they will continue development so it's completely up in the air and nobody can predict it. My personal opinion is yes they will because they already have the motor for racing

No never actually! It's crazy I havent scrapped anything on this car because despite how low slung it looks, it has a 5.2" ground clearance. I mistakenly trusted the parking sensor and my bumper was over the curb but still didn't scrape I couldn't believe it

I think maybe the SL gets a lot of attention and maybe if you go really used, the SLS with the gull wing doors probably get the most attention. Gotta get the AMG versions of most Mercedes cars for max attention

No but there is a dealer in Cali that I think is painting the OEM 21” forged wheels in gloss black which I think looks really good. There was also a black inspiration model that came with dark gray 5 spoke wheels which I don’t really like the looks of. You can now option those wheels on a 2022 & 2023 model

If you were buying another one again today:, would you do red exterior again ? what are your top 3 exterior colors that look good with tan interior (in real life )? , is the windscreen tan reflection bothersome? do you like the past /current 20 inch wheel options as much? ( are the 21' wheels too shiny) ; did the rioja red interior end in 2019 ?

@@chrisc4277 yea after all the coupes I tried LC is still my top choice. Another would be the new Boxster and Cayman GTS with the NA Boxer 6 but LC is so much nicer. With a beige interior the Red, Nori Green, Nightfall Mica Blue, and I guess black and white would work too. Yes the beige is pretty reflective even with 50% tint on the front windshield but it’s still the interior to get imo with the LC especially used. For new 2022 & 2023 LC I think I might go cadmium orange with orange interior since the dash is black but I will always have a soft spot for the beige that’s what made me fall in love with the car. Rioja red is a bit subdued but at least it adds some color. I think 2020 was the last year for Rioja red then they switched to a brighter circuit red. 2019 and up is the way to go used rides and and has better transmission tuning than the 2018. I like the 20” forged wheels I don’t like the 20” cast wheels. 21s are still my most favorite it’s got a black and chrome two tone mix looks exotic. Be prepared to constantly clean those wheels because the brake dust is nuts. Try to get one CPO from Lexus. You won’t be disappointed my friend.
