These are so helpful, keep making these for the people who think they can feasibly afford luxury (or even non-luxury, looking at you Toyota) cars and SUV's!!! I don't understand why economy cars are now almost $40k on average!!

Lol, keep sanctioning the Chinese, then keeping sitting there and wondering why your cars are crap and yet costs 40k

I love these detailed cost of ownership breakdowns. As an NX 350h owner, I noticed a couple of specification errors. Horsepower for the hybrid is 240, not 203 and 0-60 is 7.2 seconds, not 8.2. Also, if insurance is $2,964 per year, then shouldn’t the monthly price be $245.50? Just a couple things that caught my attention.

This video is a bit misleading. If someone only put 10% down and 72 months loan to buy a car. That means you can't afford it. It's a terrible financial decision to have a 72-month car loan, regardless of the loan amount. Car is a depreciating asset.

Great video 📹 👍 👏. Video advice is pay cash and buy it, and pay less for insurance as well. 🙂

If you can only put down 10% and you also need a 72 month loan at an 8% rate then you shouldn’t be buying the car.

Agree! For financing 36 or 48 months shows payment capacity. Anything above there, you can’t afford it.

@@gosman949 Hello mister Gosman, this is Carlos. There’s not a vehicle I could afford cash, what I do is to seek for discounted vehicles, I got a Prius on 2020 which had 7k below msrp and interestingly 0.69% interest rate. Now I’m interested in the Subaru solterra which has 7K provincial rebate, 5K federal rebate, 5K Subaru rebate AND 0.99% interest rate. The salesman “oh this car if flying out the lots!, if you don’t take it right now, I will have it sold by tomorrow “ thing, does not work on me. I try to buy vehicles which I can get a bit of advantage, such as no gas bills, insurance discount, whatever I can get. I do share your thought, we the consumers have to refuse those crazy prices out there and walk away! Cheers!

Thank you for the video I would like to add the long term cost for the battery replacement because I was looking to get a hybrid model as of today because I found out in June 3 2024 just to replace the batteries alone is 6500 dollars that’s not including labor and taxes.
@addanametocontinue5 ай бұрын
$6,500 is a pretty good deal if you compare it to replacing EV batteries, which can go into the tens of thousands.
@victoria198535 ай бұрын
@@addanametocontinue Labor and tax and other fees are not included plus the inflation cost over a 8 to 10 year period in my first post if you were to add up the total cost that could be over 8000 just to replace the hybrid battery’s so as far as a good deal goes you can’t speak for everyone is not a good deal. It’s a financial burden for most people. I think the labor cost at my local Lexus dealer is for about 6 hours of labor @ 200 bucks an hour for 6 hours plus 6500 just for the hybrid batteries give it thought my guy. I really don’t understand the that’s a great deal part EV batteries are running about the same range.

There is a warranty for the battery up to 150,000 miles. It’s not like their hybrid batteries are going to fail on you. Toyota/Lexus make the best hybrid engines. You guys all making the car look bad by giving worst case scenarios.
@victoria198534 ай бұрын
@@minhkha3382 Is not a worst case scenario is a projection an educated guess on what the dealer could charge you. Yes you are correct on the warranty assuming Toyota is not going to fight you on a claim , the warranty is only good for 10 years or 150000 miles with ever comes first, the battery could last 10 years or more but realistically I think in most cases is not .Regardless is still big money to replace the batteries if someone owns the car for more than 10years. In most case I am seeing a lot of this NX models being leased so most drivers will be returning it to the dealers. What are your thoughts for long term ownership.

If anyone is putting 10% down payment on a car, they should reconsider how much they can afford. That to me is out of their price range.
