Do you know if 02-06 models have an in line filter as well?

The Denso/Delphi pumps are $85. You think there's a quality difference between cheap and expensive fuel pumps? Also, is it good to also replace the whole assembly?
@tongo117 Жыл бұрын
I'm sure there is a difference in quality, yes.. And replacing the whole assembly may not be necessary unless you want the piece of mind knowing that it's all brand new..

@tongo117 on another video, the guy bought just the pump.for $18 and it failed within 2 weeks. Then he paid $35 and it failed in a month or 2. Eventually he bought a more expensive one and it lasted him a while. So price amd brands like Delphi, Denson do make a difference.

How's the TRQ fuel pump doing? Any issues with the quality? Or still running good?
@tongo1172 жыл бұрын
17 miles after installing TRQ fuel pump engine stalling returned.. $6 salvage yard fuel pump installed, ran for a few miles then stalled.. Original (26yr old) fuel pump reinstalled same thing, ran a few miles then stalled.. Then got trouble code for bad camshaft position sensor P0340.. Installed new cam and crank sensors and put TRQ pump back in.. That was about a week ago.. Haven't driven far just around neighborhood but so far no stalling.. So to finally answer your question yes, TRQ pump is working fine..

Bro do you still have this car? I'm having trouble finding a part for it. The motor that releases the trunk via the door button.. I can't find it anywhere

I found this video through the other video on stalling, did the stalling ever come back after replacing the pump? Ive got a 1mz in an mr2 so really trying to avoid replacing the pump of possible as that includes dropping the tank
@tongo117 Жыл бұрын
Yes.. The stalling continued.. Fuel pump was not the issue.. It was the camshaft position sensor.. Replaced cam and crank sensors in May 2022 hasn't stalled since.. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYnHhauZeqmYpqM

What a thorough excellent video, when my 46K mile 94 ES300 needs a pump this will be a perfect guide, if not already in comments, how did u determine it was the fuel pump?

Replacing the fuel pump was a guess which turned out to be wrong.. The intermittent stalling returned.. Problem turned out to be the camshaft position sensor.. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYnHhauZeqmYpqM

Did this fix the issue? I literally have the same problem when stopped at red light! It’ll die when waiting at red light or when when it’s green and I press gas it’ll die…and then when I restart it and put it in drive it’ll die…I had it die on also while on the freeway going 75mph…any insight?

Mine still stalled after replacing fuel pump.. And similar to yours it stalled sometimes at highway speed.. But the video below shows the fix for me.. Hasn't stalled in 18 months.. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYnHhauZeqmYpqM

Thanks for replying back to me so soon! I watched all your videos including the crankshaft and camshaft position sensor. I just ordered my parts hopefully it’s it! Fingers crossed

Nice video on the how-to part, but going cheap and putting back in old parts is going to cost you; just use all new parts.

Power tools near fuel, especially near the tank, should be a no-no.
