In terms of guides on rf2 in general, I can recommend Michi Hoyer's channel. He has a tutorial series on settings, content management etc, as well as track guides and setup guides. Also Yuri Kasdorp is making lap guides for LFM specifically, so it's worth checking out.

RF2 TinyPedal if you want something more lightweight, but your choice of SimHub elements are great too :)

I did try tinypedal and had huge fps issues with that, it has some good features though just shame it doesn't have a standing layout that looks nice

It's nice to see my name in the relative ahahahah. Having 1400+ hrs on rf2 i can agree that at first there is a steep learning curve, especially with the setup of the game it self, but once you get your settings right it becomes a really smooth experience. A thing that i can suggest you is to keep an eye on the ModMgr that there is on the Bin32/64 folder of rf2, the less unused content you have there, the less problems you will face. I hope to catch you on track again in the future and good luck!!

Great video thank you !!! I've just spent 8hrs trying to get RF2 to load a track, crashed every time @100% I've deleted everything from my pc to do with rf2, I've unsubscribed to everything in the workshop and in the process of doing a clean install!! Not off to a good start with this sim lol

Yeah that's the major downside to rf2 there is alot of bugs. I had a similar issue and on there discord they are a great help, think I had to delete my cache and shader folder if I remember right then validate install.

@@crispeay hi ill take a look on the discord, thank you very much, it is a bit of a learning curve. Let's hope with LFM's interest s397 will step up and sort the bugs 🐛

@@stuarthonda1 it's worth it, once you push through the barrier of actually setting everything up it gets better. Being able to join a race on lfm with a click of a button makes it even nicer

My only problem with RF2 is the overall user experience. Its VERY rough. once you get settled on track tho? its brilliant
@crispeay2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I used to feel like this, but now I've got the rf2 settings where I want them all I have to do is click join server on LFM website with rf2 open and it joins straight away. The less I have to deal with the UI the better 😂

Your video is pretty good, love it mate. keep them coming :) RF2 really needed this love. and as you say it is hard to come by any helping videos how to get RF2 working & Running. and everyone that is new to it has to learn to go trough JSON files and change bugs that gonna fix FFB, Steering issues, and for single player people JSON file is also the way to fix it up. It is good for RF2 to have this reconition, the more complaints about it they have to fix the issues and not tell their players to do it themself. RF2 has many good things and flaws as many other games. but RF2 in this state should be called "Early Acces" or a Beta more or like. lets see how LFM brings the player base for RF2 :)

Michi Hoyer uploaded a good video about the rF2-settings yesterday and even I with over 1.2k hours into rF2 have to learn more about it, because I was mainly using it offline. Multiiplayer with +/- 50 entries can easily bottom out the CPU it seems and reducing graphics, sounds etc. to get a better experience is necessary even with powerful PCs.
