I’ll note that this cools a 120 sqft room pretty well. On the really hot days it doesn’t work as well, but it always provides a good deal of cooling.

Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I kzbin.infoUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

*Solid, **Fastly.Cool** and gets the job done. For rooms where window-mounted air conditioning is not an option, this works very well. Easy set up, rapid cooling, and great design.*

Is it normal that the AC shuts off when it reaches the temperature and then it turns back on? When I put it on low I’ve noticed it’s turns off and on… but now I tried on high it hasn’t turned off yet. Is that normal? Doesn’t mention anything on the manual regarding the automatic shut off/on

I had this LG for 2 years tomorrow. The compressor does not stop running, or should I say it starts and stops, over and over again. Called LG, I thought maybe it was because of condensation, he told me that my compressor issue is not suppose to do that. He thinks it is the Control panel board. He told me it was not covered. We have an implied warranty law in Maine, they looked into it and then told me it was covered because of that law. Just finally got an email from them, made me send in documentation, and the case number. will see what happens. If they do not do anything I will try to figure out how to change or work with the control panel. Hope you all have better luck with your unit.

Mine used to be freezing at 72, and now it's barely cooling at 66. I think I've had it about 5 years. I cleaned the filters and emptied the drain pans. Any ideas? Am I out of luck?

Just got one and my small room is freezing!. My only gripe is the hose is pretty stiff. The ac has to be almost directly in front of the window. Mine isnt and the ac is in an akward position. I just wish theres a more flexible hose and not plastic

@animatedarliss4 жыл бұрын
Kimberly K if you extend it, the unit may not perform very well.

I elaborated on the real world cooling performance in the comments. Sorry for missing content in the video.
@alexanderjakubowski56732 жыл бұрын
The reason why these things are just awful is because of where the tube connects to the window kit. It will stay in at first on its own, but you WILL need to start using lots of duct tape down the line in order to keep it in, which is of course integral to keeping the thing operating. The plastic is incredibly cheap and flimsy for how much these things cost as well.

Go off of DOE ratings only. The DOE rating for this is 6500 BTU. 230 sq feet would need a 8100 BTU AC.
