The diverter motor is its achilles heal. My daughters LG leaked in just 3 years and we are not replacing it. The cam insert in the diverter motor is not perfectly round, thus walter leak thru the rubber seal. Is this planned to fail?

Wonderful dishwasher! Only one problem. It's too deep for most american homes. Our house was built in 2003 and the dishwasher was still a little too deep. We found another dishwasher that was the most popular in America - not becuase it is better than LG - it is because it is just a little smaller which makes it possible for the majority of Americans to install it. Make the LG a little less deep and it will be the number one dishwasher in the United States!

Very true, my washer sticks out 1/4 inch past the countertop. I do wish it was flush with the counters and doors.

Bought mine June 2020 and the seal is leaking at the door. Also found when cleaning underneath it had been leaking under and ruined my laminate floor.

Very bad dishwasher. I font know how to put the time in my dishwasher. 3hours and a half and still does not clean good. I have to rinse first then put inside otherwise not clean. Hate it

B4 the model that lg sold in india had 3 racks. Now it doesnt. Lg is not good for long term reliability either. Try bosch SMS6HVI00I thats what i just brought.

Recommend u to use eco mode where it takes the longest time, but even then total energy and water consumption is much less than shorter duration modes. I just brought it yesterday, cant do much of a review yet, but till now i love it, LG is crap, has many problems including problems with their basic design, customer support and also ive heard people get HE error that is never fixed, not even by company. Ive owned many lg products myself that i had to get rid of because of zero service and many manufacturing faults. Their dishwashers are infamous for being defective worldwide. I did a lot of research day and night b4 buying the bosch. Their dishwashers are the most reliable and durable, also they clean a lot better than most others. They are consistently the top rated by ConsumerReports. My first dishwasher was a made in germany bosch about 10-12 years ago when they first entered indian dishwasher market. It was very good and lasted a long time cleaned like magic and absolutely dead silent, lasted about 5 years b4 my plumber water damaged it. then had a whirlpool that died in less than 2.5 years(and cudnt be repaired because apparently the guy who came to fix it had never opened a dishwasher b4, and i tried to fix it myself too but to no avail) now i have this bosch. This is the second best model that bosch sells in india, this one is made in turkey. Bosch’s most common dishwashers are made in turkey now. It has a ball bearing rack for smooth movement, total 3 racks, adjustable, and is 14 place setting but the space is a lot more than other 14 place setting dishwashers. So about 51.6k. In stores (in delhi) newer models are nowhere to be found, only 1 store had it, for 54k (electronic paradise, janakpuri, delhi) If money is not an issue, then i suggest u to go for SMS6ZCW42E that has a few extra features, but costs a lot more at around 97k (i think this one is made in germany) For me, it was too much of a difference and im good with SMS6HVI00I at 51.6k One thing missing from SMS6HVI00I compared to other bosch models is the machine care mode(70 degrees) where it cleans itself, but thats not rly an issue bcoz i can still run the same 70 degree temperature cycle in the ‘intensive kadhai’ mode and add cleaner after the pre rinse is finished. Theres also a ‘hygiene+’ mode in some models, this one has a ‘normal’ mode where it washes at 65 degrees and final rinse at 69. That is essentially the same as hygiene+ mode. Siemens also sells the same dishwashers(coz they are the same company), they are exactly the same except the looks and an extra mode or two but much extra price. I still prefer bosch because its rated the highest by the website consumer reports. And since im more of a DIY person, the parts for it are easier to get online, as well as guidelines on fixing issues.
