I JUST followed this to fix my LG G2 and its now working perfect again with a brand new screen. As i decided to buy direct OEM straight from LG it did cost more, but i know for sure its OEM and done right as i trust myself over a store doing it. Spent about the 15 mins watching it completely once, then went through again while following along. Perfect guide for anyone whos going to change the screen themselves and believes they can handle it. To scale it, its probably a little harder than dissembling and reassembling a desktop computer. Just things are more fragile which is actually the hardest part. Just take your time, keep track of your shit, and maybe youll only be here once and never have to fix your phone again

Shipped on friday afternoon, arrived in Sweden the next monday(8 workdays) and they marked the value lower than its actuall value so I dodged customs! Really made me happy. The repair went along really smooth, only annoying part was the adhesive but it worked out great with some patience. Really helpful video, really good OEM screen. Remember to test it before you apply the adhesive and remember to take your time, delicate components! Thank you Fixez, great price for a great product. Saved me about 70 bucks to change it myself and it's the cheapest OEM display I could find out there.

Thank you so much. I watched this three times before I went to work and I found it fabulous! For anyone attempting this watch out for the mic rubber gromit which comes out with the mic. Using a magnifying glass I could see there's a bit that sticks out that helps identify which way to replace it. The rubber gromit needs to be replaced correctly so the mic hole is kept open. Thanks for the video. :D

Fixed my g2 last night, turned it on and bam! I'm up an running again with zero issues at all. I replaced both the lcd&digitizer, and from what I can tell, that is much easier to do than just replacing the digitizer or vice versa. So if you are considering doing this just replace the lcd and the digitizer, you will thank yourself later, or if you dont you will wish you did.

I just replaced my screen last night. It was easy but still took 1 1/2 hours because I didn't want to rush it. The most time consuming part was cutting the adhesive into the perfect size strips. Overall my phone is fix and a big thank you.

I ordered the display from the site and followed the video instructions. good news is that my phone came back to life and it's working really great. However, i think the touch experience is a little bit less than the original screen but i can live with that :D if it's your first time (like me) make sure to put enough adhesive on the edges to avoid the display light leaking from there. my model is D802 btw

This was very helpful. Just saved myself $150-200 on a used G6 i thought I was going to have to buy. As has been said, take your time & definitely work around the connectors / components you're trying to move if at first they seem immovable. So the G2 gets another 6 mos - year before an upgrade. Nice. Thanks again.

Thank you for the video tutorial. I purchased the screen+frame from your website and I'm very happy with the product. The screen seems to be high quality so far, I wouldn't doubt that it's genuine OEM. The installation for the screen+frame is almost exactly the same as shown in the video, there's just a few components that you have to transfer from the old frame to the new frame. I had no problems performing the repair, except I accidentally broke the earpiece speaker because I pried at it too close to the connections and they came off. However, it only costs a few bucks to replace the ear piece, so it's no problem.

Hi.. very good detailed video. I used to yesterday (7/27/14) to replace my cracked screen. Worked perfectly. Took me more than an hour and I had to go through each minute detail on this video multiple times, but it worked flawless. Only piece I did not do was add new adhesive. My replacement screen did not come with one. So I reused old adhesive that was little squishy by heat from hair dryer. Screen stuck to old adhesive like brand new! No issue in any functionality. Thanks a lot for this video.
@gzanini549 жыл бұрын
Just succeeded in changing broken screen following the instructions on this video. Easiest is to buy (online) an LCD display with frame assembly. Then all the steps shown in this video to separate the broken display from its old frame assembly are not needed. You can throw both away. Also you can safely leave the rear-facing camera attached to the motherboard, instead of removing it separately as shown in the video. Same for the mic at the bottom of the screen, which can be safely left attached to the dockport. But you will still have to go through all the steps to disassemble and re-assemble the loudspeaker, dockport, motherboard, and battery.

Great video. My LCD/digitizer was replaced by a shop. They did a good job except that the new screen has visible pixel grids. If you look at the screen at even a slight angle, you can see lcd pixel lines like on the first generation smart phones from a few years ago. Is your lcd the same quality as the original phone or am I going to notice the same artifacts? Wondering if all these aftermarket screens come from one factory or if there are different quality screens out there. I would like to have the original image quality. Thanks.

First of all, thanks for the video! Clear instructions and a nice toolset to work with. I tried to replace my broken LG G2 screen and got through everything rather easily. However, now that I'm done, the phone turns on but the screen doesn't. The battery gets hot so I know it, and I can turn it on as well with a softreset. There's no responding from the screen whatsoever though. Anything I can try out?
@wouterstaat377810 жыл бұрын
***** Thanks for the reply. The battery temperature is indeed really high. I've never been near the battery without the case before though and with the case on it doesn't seem *that* bad. All the connections are properly connected. Could the faulty battery be the reason of the display not working? The phone also doesn't buzz when turned on, would that also imply that the battery might be broken?

I ordered the new screen and tools from you, and my phone is good as new. Cheers! My only issues were that I didn't notice the grey coax cable should run under the dock port ribbon cable so the motherboard cover pinched the ribbon cable at first. I also didn't seat the motherboard cover properly (the corner was caught on the frame), so the back cover didn't fit. Had to loosen and reseat the cover.

Was it some type of thermo glue?

Hello there! Amazing video tut and props for the great explanation! Just one question: Will a 1.9mm double-sticker do the trick as an adhesive for the assembly?
@Fixez8 жыл бұрын
+GamoToTheoM I can't say for sure, the sides of the display leave little room for adhesive so it will have to be trimmed flush. Also the thickness of the adhesive will have to be considered as to not have the display sitting proud of the frame.

Thank you for posting. I've used this one to replace LCD and touch screen on my G2. After all 'hard-work' is done, I'm experiencing some problems with the touch screen. It's working only when I press on the edges of the screen. Actually, on the right bottom edge of the screen. Everything seems to be OK, except that my phone will turn the screen off after like 1 second always. And when I try to do something it still turns off automatically. The only way I can seem to use my phone now is by turning it off/on and use it untill the screen timeout starts for the first time.
