We watch ip tv mostly . What would you recommend ? G4 or sony 8 ? Which is better in upscaling ip tv content ?

both are good. Sony Bravia 8 is better.

Just out of curiosity, why can it get up to 1800 in 10% window and then get only 1,600 nits in a 5% window? And is this in VIVID mode?

Yes, as mentioned it is vivid mode. In color accurate professional mode it can get 1400 nits bright on a 10% window in the professional mode. OLED TVs come with an ABL or auto brightness limiter that restricts brightness on larger portion of the screen to prevent damage. The 2025 OLED TVs will fare better at full screen or full field brightness. Fortunately in most content bright HDR highlights only take small portion of the screen and can thus be displayed at high brightness

Is it just me or does the Bravia 8 look more color accurate. The G4 looks like its blowing our the whites, which does make it brighter but you isn't it just turning the other colors white?

Yes, we have added a disclaimer. Due to camera capture limitation the bright highlight appear blown next to the Bravia 8. In person that's not the case and these highlights make the G4 appear a lot better.

Otherwise how they make lg samsung better than sony , what most reviewers do nowadays 😊 what is the contribution of sony, Panasonic etc companies to the audio visual industry, everything has been done by lg & samsung

Bravia 8 is closer competitor in terms of price. We didn't compare with A95L because we didn't get a review unit. Sony nominated Bravia 8 this year for Best OLED TV category in our Zero1 awards.
