I purchased this phone from Metro yesterday. The young lady at the store set it up and I was good to go. About 3 hours ago - September 16, 7pm - the phone did a security update. I thought nothing of it, and continued working on my computer. I then noticed that the phone restarted, so I picked it up and I noticed that the wallpaper I had on before was gone. I tapped the screen and it asked for a PIN. I had entered my PIN and, nothing. I then researched for 2 HOURS with NO luck. I was ready to take it back to Metro when I stumbled upon this video. All I can say is that you are a LIFESAVER!! I followed the instructions in this video and I was back up and running. Now I'm using LG Mobile Switch to transfer all of my apps and hopefully my contacts. Thanks,man!!

Thank you! I searched everywhere (well, for the LG velvet) and no one gave this tip. I tried it, it worked. I didn't go through with the wipe because I'm still hopeful I'll remember the password but I'm very happy there is an option to get access to my phone itself again
