I just recently upgraded from an LG 34UC88-B 34" to a SAMSUNG CRG9 49". The CRG9 is amazing, but I miss the LG OnScreen software. Thankfully Windows 10 PowerToys FancyZones is a good replacement.

I have the LG 34" and using in split mode. Running Outlook on one side; when I open a an email it open in the entire space rather than a smaller floating windows as I normally have. Is there a way for this to be fixed?

Is there a keyboard shortcut to re-set the round redo arrow for the chosen split screen so you don't have to click the round arrow inside the OnScreen Control software window to pop the apps back into place?

I have a love-hate relationship with this software. I like the 2-panel side-by-side, but anytime you want to open a quick window in the middle you can't. It snaps it left or right. I suppose I could switch to a 3-panel at that point. But all I want it to have a pop up, calculator, or brief usage of a small window. Could use a little more flexibility, but not bad overall.

Mine is the opposite, every time I launch an app, I have to click on the OnScreen app and choose 50/50 again. Do you know how you made it save 50/50? I think my old computer used to do that but not anymore. It kinda defeats the purpose if I have to go in an manually ask it to snap the applications into place.

I have an LG '38 monitor attached to my Macbook Pro 2020, but the content on my webbrowser (Chrome), files, Spotify app etc. are not compromising when I set those to multiple screens. So when I do a screen split of 2 or 3 screens I only see half of the page because it's not responding on the minimized screen. Do you know how I can resolve this issue? Because now the whole point of multiple screens is not working because I can only see half of it.

This feature worked fine in previous versions, but not after the latest update. Adjusting the bounding boxes using the 50/50 horizontal split screen on a portrait vertical. I use to be able to adjust those snap boxes to like 70/30 and it would stay. But with the last update, this feature is not working now and it only seems to work on a few of the split options. The LG website is not user friendly so i thought i would reach out here to see if anyone else is experiencing this issue or am i missing something.

This software doesn't do PIP. Many LG monitors support that in hardware. The 43UD79 that I tested this on supports it in hardware.

This program makes mouse select buggy. I mean I select an area on the desktop and when i release the click button the selection is still there for 1 or 2 seconds. Anyone has the same problem?

has someone found out how to supress the snipping when dragging an app window into a 2 screen split LG monitor ie moving the app window from one monitor (not LG) into the LG monitor - w/o having to deactivate the OnScreen Control (eg via dragging with some key pressed or similar)? dell monitors for example can be set to only snip if I drag w the Shift key pressed ... so that I can still move windows around freely w/o being forced to snip into the whole split pane

Thank you! This has been quite helpful. Had issues downloading the .zip file. Turns out the Browser you use is critical. Some won't download it! Any idea if the Applications can be customized? I see lots of Microsoft/Google/Apple/Adobe options. I have other apps loaded on my computer. One in particular that I bought this monitor for. If I set it up as I want it, then shutdown the computer, it doesn't come back up. But if I select apps from the existing list, they will populate the correct windows as I set them up before shutdown. So, how do I customize the list of applications to include the apps I need? Hope it's do-able! Thank you!

Hey. I have a question with my best regards. I bought a 29wl500-b recently. There is some issues with this software. Generally i am using screen that is 3 part. I'm thinking of getting 27 inch 4k LG monitor. Truth is I only need 24 inches. Can I use onscreen to resize viewable screen to 24 inches and black out the rest ?

I've not heard of that use case, but I think you can. You can set a primary window for the 24" and then just have a black background. You can't "turn those areas off". Also not sure why you wouldn't just want the extra space of the 27"

if the resolution your computer sends is a 24" size then that is what you'll get no matter how big your screen is. All you need to do is turn off the stretch option on your monitor's settings... .. why buy a 27"if you only want to use 24 inches. weird.... Anyhow, OnScreen Control has nothing to do with resolutions. Its just a window arranger

Please help! I have the software and like it except for a couple of annoying things. I use the two screen split almost all the time to mimic having two monitors. But if I have two apps on the screen side by side it keeps automatically flipping them. For instance if I have web browser on left side and an PDF on right side, it will randomly flip them and put the web browser on right side and the PDF on left side. This is very annoying! Also there are some windows that I want to keep as a pop up size window and I don't want them to resize to one side or the other. For instance a pop up calculator I use. I want to be able to keep this window a pop up size and be able to move it around my entire screen without it snapping and resizing. Side note: my monitor is connect to surface docking station HDMI to USB-C on docking station.

I've not heard of the flipping issue, and never experienced it when I had an LG monitor. The only thing I can think of is that it somehow things you are trying to drag the window over. Not sure why or how. With regards to the pop-up items, if an item can go to a full window, the software will force it do. The only thing I can think of that wouldn't might be something like Calculator. There may be a way to create an area that doesn't up-size the windows and leave those things in that space. Sorry I can't be of more help. I don't have the LG monitor anymore.

I intend to use 4 devices on this monitor, but I like to arrange the screens in one up (horizontal) and 3 below (vertical).... Noticed though the option available is 1 over 2, but I like to achieve 1 over 3 instead. Is this possible? Anyway to customize this on the screen split software to achieve this? With this software you only have to set the window size once. Windows dropped into each zone automatically resize to fit it. Keeps you from having to do the work manually each time.

This is software based PIP. What you're talking about is hardware based PIP, which the monitor also supports. This software feature allows you to watch something like KZbin or netflix in a PIP window from the same machine.

No, you would need to use the hardware Picture-by-Picture functionality for that. This software only works to define zones within Windows.

Yes, if you have an external LG monitor attached to the laptop. You may need to close the laptop screen to disable the internal display. The software will sometimes complain about a non-LG monitor detected.

You have to use the monitors OSD menu. Hit the menu button on the monitor, and go through those settings. You can also hit the PBP button on the remote.

I had similar issues. I could not access the software and the file downloaded with a warning that it was corrupt. Turns out I had to switch to another browser to download it. Not sure if that is your issue, but it might help someone!

@@Schdid It only works on LG monitors. It may not work if it detects other types. I haven't had an LG monitor in a while. I'm now using the Dell 49" so I can't test. If you are hooked up to a laptop, you'll need to close the lid on that, or turn off that display. Beyond that you'll need to contact LG support for help.

This is complete junk on my LG UHD 32UK50T It will not snap any windows to the set constraints, and when I select the option there is a large gap between the windows. Also, when in split mode I am unable to adjust the folder lines. Highly disappointed with this software. LG will not reply to my support request.
