If I tried to do all that myself I wonder how much expense will pile up in tools, materials and my time. For someone who does this as a business or hobby is nice. But if not, I just may get a new one.

Did you try to test the power button before gluing down the screen to see if it works? if so, does it not turn on? I have been replacing my LCD and the screen does turn on when I connect the charger, but my phone will not power on when pressing the power button. Any tips or is hope lost?

@@braei3429 I was pretty careful with plugging stuff back in because I was told the "teeth" can be damaged easily.. so I took it for someone else to repair it for me. It turned out fine but not even a week later I broke the screen again lmaooo. But I bought a new phone just recently so all good. I was just not brave enough to put enough pressure into plugging things. in.

Hello friend. I think its a mini heat gun. I'm assuming he is heating the back faceplate of the device in order to expand the material to fit in his tool...to wedge apart safely. Hope that helps cause I didn't know what tool he was using at first! 🙌🙏

The glass and LCD are fused together. So you need to buy the LCD as well.

Make sure to buy tape that is designed to fit for the phone like, "adhesive for (enter phone name) back/front glass

My screen is peeling off at the bottom left corner, is there an easier way to fix it without doing all this?

@@joannaperk2560 No, due to the nature of the way the phone comes apart, you have to remove the back. You could probably remove the screen without taking off the back, but the connector the LCD hooks around and attaches to the back side of the motherboard, so theres no reattaching the screen unless you open the back

@@braei3429 I was able to reglue it back in place. No I didn't use super glue, I ordered the appropriate glue.

@@joannaperk2560 I suppose that does work, if you arent having problems with it. If the screen needs to be replaced though, you do have to take the rear glass off.

the front of mine came off, now the screen is black. I still have power to it . I am afraid to take it all the way off it's still connected, (looks like a piece of tape???😂 ,) I'm clueless about this

What was the purpose of gutting the entire phone to change screen?

1. He did not gut the the phone, he removed the back plastic 2. He opened that plastic up so he disconnect the battery and display, and also so he doesn't melt anything when he gives heat the front of the phone

The LCD and Battery are both connected to the back of the phone, so to disconnect them, you have to open the back. Then to reconnect the new screen, you have to curve the LCD connector back around to the back.
