THE NEXT-GEN EARBUDS ARE HERE! 🔥LG's brand new T90 (successor to FP9) and their new sports model, TF8, are now available - i've reviewed them in full and compared them to the FP8/9 in my new video. Check it out below 👇🏼 kzbin.info/www/bejne/fGPboGaLiN5jY6M

These are one of the most underrated truly wireless earbuds that I absolutely love. I chose the FP8’s for its wireless charging capability over the FP9’s. The call quality is great, the app is very customizable, ANC, ambient mode, quick charging, very good battery life, etc. Unfortunately, ambient conversation mode really doesn’t work all that great. For example if your at a place where there is music playing, that mode will also amplify the voices in the music and if that music is loud that’s not a mode that you want on. I just recommend going the one earbud route for conversations.

I have both the 8 and the 9. my only wish would be for them to have the ability to hold onto the ear better. Sometimes, while I work I need to look upside down or turn my head sideways and the earbud falls out, sometimes a few feet onto concrete, sometimes into holes I have a hard time retrieving them back from. Despite that, they are the best-sounding earbuds I have ever used... Period!

@DemiImp2 жыл бұрын
@@TF2ReplayMaker I have the Soundcore Life Dot 2 (had them for about a year or so now). Turns out they have the same codecs. But their noise cancelling is overall much better. The most infuriating thing about the UFP9's is that some really low rumble noises seem to get amplified instead of reduced with noise cancelling on. The Dot's sound passthrough is terrible in comparison to the UFP9's (they only pass through sounds higher pitch than human speech, making it much less useful). Overall I'm happier with the Dot 2's than the UFP9's that I bought, but you can tell that the UFP9's are a higher quality product (which are smaller, lighter, etc). I'd personally recommend the Life Dot 2's over the UFP9's, but if your usecase is like... You only want to use them at the gym? Then the UFP9's might be a better purchase.

@@DemiImp hey there thanks for the detailed reply! How's the sound quality on the Dot 2s? I got my mum a pair of Life A2 NCs a few months back (which are supposed to be the updated, sturdier version of the Dot 2s). I have to say I love the build quality on them but their sound (even with EQ adjustments) leaves something to be desired. I'd want something with more dynamism. Straight out the box, the L3Ps sound amazing compared to the FP8s. Unfortunately I wasn't able to test the FP9s in-store, I'm not sure how much different the FP8s are from the FP9s. What you just mentioned about the defective noise cancelling is SERIOUSLY putting me off from the FP9s though. My use case is 80-90% gym usage and I'll need something that lasts at least 6 hours on a single charge

Hello, thanks for the video, I recently bought the LG TONE FREE fp8 but in calls they tell me that they hear me "very far away" and the WhatsApp audios remain the same, they are sent with the microphone of the cell phone and not from the headphones. Also in a noisy environment the music is not heard loud, is it normal?
@insidetechltd2 жыл бұрын
Have you got 'whisper mode' turned on by accident? Check that setting in the app since that would explain why you sound far away. If you're saying that your phone's mic is being used instead though, that's your answer! You need to select the earbuds when you're on a call. If you can't hear your music then i'd suggest you try different ear tip sizes to make sure they seal your ears properly. Use ANC mode to block out as much noise as possible too
@saaaaaaaaalt8382 жыл бұрын
Just recieved the ufp8 and I don't think I like them at all. I liked my fn6 a lot but they are wearing down after nearly 2 ish years of use. I thought I'd go for the next model up and they're just worse to me. The ear tips are shallower and don't reach all the way into my ear. They're wide enough but not long enough. They fit fine and don't fall out but there simply isn't comparable passive noise reduction. As a result, in spite of ANC, they actually let more sound in than the previous model for me and have a noticeable high pitched whine that's similar to the transparent mode. It's quite frustrating to be able to hear my mouse clicks or my nails tapping on my phone not to mention my own voice. I'll give them a day or two but I'm probably sending them back.
@insidetechltd2 жыл бұрын
You’re right. The fit is imperative - the difference between amazing sound/ANC and really bad. If you’ve tried all of the ear tip sizes and still can’t get a good fit, they’re probably not going to be any good for you sadly

I wonder how much lag has on "wired" mode, and if I can use that for gaming. I'm looking specifically to try to plug them in VR Quest 2 's jack, and use it on that mode, since the Bluetooth gaming on Quest 2 has a huge unacceptable latency ( as most android devices do). I also really really wish they had multipoint features ( like my Jabra 75T and Huawei Freebuds Pro have). Thanks for the review.
@insidetechltd3 жыл бұрын
I would say that VR gaming needs ultra low latency or wired headphones. I personally find that with VR, when the audio is even slightly out, it can cause motion sickness and is really distracting and noticeable. So they might not work for that. would anc cancel out the wind noise when cycling?
@insidetechltd2 жыл бұрын
Sometimes when cycling the wind noise can really mess up ANC, so you're often better turning it off and just using passive noise isolation to block out the wind. If that's the case, you'll want to get a tight, secure seal (and everyone's ears are different). I haven't personally cycled at speed with these because I wouldn't trust them to not fall out, but in windy conditions being stood they've done a good job blocking out wind noise - though not entirely. The only way to really know for sure is to give them a try yourself, see if they fit well!

How was the wired option with the Switch? Was there any noticable latency?
@insidetechltd3 жыл бұрын
It's great. So the advantage is that the case is wired to any of these devices you plug it into, right? So there's no latency between case and the device. This way, the latency is always the same for the earbuds because it's essentially between the case and the earbuds (not the device) - and the latency is very low. So it doesn't matter what device you plug into, the latency is always low and great for videos and casual gaming!

No issues for me. But this can happen if you don’t pair the Bluetooth LE version of the earbuds ALSO. You’ll get a second prompt to pair the earbuds which you must enable in order for them to work properly with the app. “Forget” all FP9 devices in your Bluetooth menu. Don’t just disconnect, make sure to press ‘forget’. Force close the LG app if it’s still open. I.e. swipe up and properly close the app, don’t just go off it. Begin pairing process again. Be patient with it. Wait 10 seconds or so after getting the first prompt to pair the earbuds. If you don’t get the second, now open the LG app and wait for it to prompt you. It should either prompt you and then connect, or will just connect. Give that a go and see how you get on!

@insidetechltd2 жыл бұрын
The difference is that you can leave that wireless charger plugged in 24/7. You don’t need to go reaching for a cable to plug that in every time (like you do with wired charging). You simply drop the case onto the pad and it’s charging. Grab it and go immediately, charge on the back of your phone in an emergency…it’s just added convenience. It’s not a big deal for everyone, which is absolutely fine. And you’re right, it’s typically slower, but that wouldn’t matter in situations like overnight charging. I’m very much in the pro wireless charging camp myself. It’s not as though it’s instead of wired charging, just an extra option 👌🏼

Hi, Does UFP9 supports while having a run/jog? does it stay and there is no displacement?
@insidetechltd3 жыл бұрын
For me, it stays pretty well but there is a little bit of movement. They don’t fall out, but sometimes I need to readjust them whilst running
@Justus82 жыл бұрын
why are they called DFP and UFP??
@insidetechltd2 жыл бұрын
Not sure about DFP, but I know in the US they're often just called FP8 / FP9. For the UK it's UFP8 and UFP9, same product though!

I I don’t know if the FP9 is different from the UFP9 but LG’s site says that it has multi pairing for the FP9.
@insidetechltd3 жыл бұрын
They’re the same earbuds, and ‘multi pairing’ on their website just means multiple devices in total (but not at the same time). So still no multi point

@@insidetechltd reinstalled to same effect, restarted phone to same effect. What worked was I opened the app, got to the software update menu (where it would check indefinitely) clear my ram without closing the app first, then navigate back to the software update in app and it installed while nothing else was working still, after the software update it all worked properly. But I’m still disappointed I have to open the app to get out of LAS/ANC after I do a long press to activate either (and it only toggles between the two) I’d hoped that I could change one of the customizable settings to do it, but no.

What's about Sennheiser cx plus comparing to these LG in term of bass and comfort? Thank you in advance 🙏
@insidetechltd2 жыл бұрын
Bass: LG. Comfort: LG. LG performed extremely well for comfort in the true wireless earbuds awards, so that's no surprise. CX Plus sound better overall, but if you like bass...LG has more of a bass-focussed sound and deeper bass too

@@insidetechltd Thank you so much, now I'm interested in LG. Sorry if ask too much, but in this price range, I can compare these LG and Bose sport earbuds too. What should I go for? It will be my first TWS :)
@insidetechltd2 жыл бұрын
I think LG's earbuds offer more overall: ANC/Transparency being the main one. But also wireless charging/plug and wireless (depending on if you get FP8 or FP9), they're more comfortable too. Just more for your money really!

One important feature these companies dont care about is multipoint
@insidetechltd3 жыл бұрын
I think it must be quite difficult or expensive to add because so many companies don't do it!
@Rogie9113 жыл бұрын
I was really interested in these until you said no multipoint. For me, if the ear buds don't have multipoint, I will not consider them as a contender for my next purchase. I currently have a set of Huawei Freebuds Pro that work flawlessly. Also a set of cheap JBL Tune 115BT earbuds that have multipoint at $40 Canadian (on sale) that really work. Point, there should be no reason for earbuds not to have multipoint.

Thank you for this in-depth video! I’m an iPhone user and I’m currently choosing earbuds to buy. I’m looking for the best sound and ANC you can get at the price range of $150. I’m considering Edifier NeoBuds Pro (but iPhone can’t benefit from their LHDS/LDAC codecs, their app is a little suspicious about it’s requirements, and the reviews are controversial), EarFun Air Pro 2 (but they don’t have an app with the EQ) and some of the LG Tone ones (but I want a great sound, not connectivity). Which of them would you recommend for me? Or maybe you think I should go for sth different? Please, help!
@insidetechltd3 жыл бұрын
My full NeoBuds Pro review is coming up soon, so I can't say about those just yet. EarFun would be a good budget option and fairly decent ANC! If you weren't sold on these LG earbuds though, maybe check out Soundcore's Liberty 3 Pro (full review coming this week) or Jabra's Elite 75/85t. Soundcore have incredible sound, whilst Jabra has decent ANC (especially the 85t)!

Nice Job but let's be real. If you get these from LG, no way you are unbiased. It is unconscious bias.
@insidetechltd2 жыл бұрын
I don’t think so. That would imply I’m somehow dependent on LG to do my job. The media is given review units all the time, do you think they would cease to exist if they weren’t? I make all of my reviews completely independently, I say exactly what I think. But I’m not going to pass an opportunity if I’m given a unit to be reviewed. If my honest thoughts on a product mean that that company no longer wishes to work with me in future, so be it. That’s the way I operate and I don’t see the point in making reviews otherwise 🤷♂️
