Just as an 'FYI' - the Smart Diagnosis feature is actually for diagnosing faults with the unit. It will play a series of tones to your phone and this acts like a code to tell your phone what the fault it. The WiFi feature is what links it to your app and enables you to download different cycles, etc. I have just ordered this dryer to go with my LG washing machine (I can highly recommend if your budget allows when replacing your washing machine) - if you get a WiFi-enabled LG washer then apparently the two machines will communicate and the tumble will automatically set to the correct program according to what you set the washing machine on - a little gimmicky but may save some people some time!

I just got this a few days ago but honestly not a fan. It's very noisy and makes weird high pitched noises and buzzing sounds. It also doesn't weigh the washing? I have the matching washing machine which weighs the washing and gives me a time. This just is set times which I don't understand. If anyone could give me and advice on this it would be great.

When it self cleans the condenser unit , where does the cleaned stuff actually end up ? Other manufacturers have self cleaning (E.g. Bosch series 8) but periodically you have to open up a flap at the bottom to access the condenser and clean out the filter etc . My worry is it is being cleaned and just accumulating gunk somewhere ?
@Thewizardmum2 жыл бұрын
Hello, Thank you for your comment the only thing I know is after every cycle I will clean the fluff that comes out where you open the door and make sure it’s free from dirt and if you don’t keep on top of that then this is possible that the gunk dirt and fluff does end up somewhere inside the condenser it very important to keep the lint tray clean and clean this after every cycle..this is purely my opinion if you would like please chat to a LG specialist as I do not want to put you off or say something incorrectly. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I can answer this chap as I have this one in Black Steel, all the excess crap that it pushes out of the heat exchanger/condenser is flushed through with water and puts it in the waste water container. You can tell when there the heat exchanger was really dirty as there is lumps of it in the water when I empty it. It works really well, I've had one for nearly 18 months now and we have two twin toddlers and a teenager, so we go through washing like no tomorrow 🤣

@@sloeginandsleep1170 Many thanks for the reply - we have ours plumbed in to drain via the hose so it never goes into the container... I presume it is all going down this ! Have you found a way to run a low heat cycle? I asked LG and their response was clear as mud. The manual details the various clothing labels and respective necessary heat levels but their seems no way to modify this in the actual programs ... our old Siemens had a low heat button for those clothes which needed a little lower temp.

Hi I am new to using the dryer, and I do not know what programs are suitable for clothes, so can you tell me your experience in choosing the appropriate programs for cotton clothes, underwear, children’s clothes, outdoor clothes, delicate clothes and heavy clothes, and I want the drying time to be not too long so that the clothes do not perish
@Thewizardmum3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment all clothes that you have usually has a label inside of the material for example you can set your dryer to cotton mode. If your clothes are all cotton this usually takes around 2:29 hours Let’s say you have all wool items you have washed you can simply use the rack for drying process and make sure the programme is set to delicates. If you want your clothes to dry quick without perishing them you can set them to a quick programme however I would still check the labels as some materials require cool drying rather than warm. Sorry if this don’t make sense but always to be on the safe side I would just make sure to check all the labels before washing and drying as most of state how they should be dryed if using a dryer. Hope this helps.

Hi there, may I know if the clothes come out with less crease compared to hanging clothes out to dry?
@Thewizardmum Жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for your comment. This is all purely my experience. 1. The amount of clothes will make creases. - when you hang your clothes out to dry they tend to be hard like cardboard you will not have the problem in the dryer however creases are likely to happen please read below to minimise. 2. To minimise creases always take them out when the machine stops and fold them neatly while warm helps reduce creases. 3.Download the LG zap for alerts to when the clothes are ready. 4. Do not leave the clothes in the dryer for a day or two this cause the clothes to smell of damp but they are not wet. I think it’s the moisture that trapped inside the dryer. 5. After every cycle open the dryer door for ventilation in between cycles and keep your rack dust free to maintain your dryer. Hope this helps and makes sense thanks 😊

Hello when you mean mixed clothes do you mean mixed fabrics? Usually this is what needs to go in for mixed fabrics: Cotton: High heat for towels, jeans, sweats, and other heavy fabrics. Gentle: Low heat for delicate items like lingerie and workout clothes. Air dry: No heat - great for fluffing pillows or refreshing clothes. Hope this helps.
