I have had both and love em. I recently sold my 75e and bought the new version with 9m cord. I could swear that there are some tweaks made. The machine has higher pitch sound, more torque and it gets bit more warmer. Overall i like it more than the old one.

Wool or microfiber pads would likely be the best option for this situation.

Two questions; when are you going to produce a more ergonomic electric mini with a variable throttle? Having used the pneumatic, it has great control and easy speed control when going through contours, the electric is a little rigid and awkward. Another Q; the speed of the electric mini, 4 seems too fast and destroys wool pads quickly. Is the recommended speed 4 correct with this tool? Thanks
@RUPES4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for commenting. Q1 - We do not comment publicly on product development project or future products. Sorry. Q2 - We recommend pretty much all the tools operate at speed 3-4 for the majority of the work (see the earlier episode of RUPES Replies that is all about tool speed kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWTWZIaMnsljpZY). The simple nature of where edgework tools are used means they generally chew up pads a little faster. Unlike their full sized counterparts, the mini tools are almost always used in an area with adjacent impact potential, curves, and other things that put a higher level of stress on the pads. Reducing speed and pressure can help, however.

Is there a common compressor you recommend to run this tool?
@RUPES4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and commenting. There is no specific compressor we'd recommend, just understand that it will take a significantly powerful unit to effectively run a tool like the LHR75 pneumatic, or something like our Skorpio III palm sander. Make sure when selecting a compressor it can supply sufficient l/min or CFM for the tool or tools you intend to run.

My question is to Rupes, are you guys going to come out with a battery? Not an electric or air but a buffer which is a decent size but with battery's, any plans for that?

Interesting Video!!! ... 🤙👍👌 So Could you explain the advantages of the Triple action versus dual action polisher? or how to work the triple action polisher ? I don't understand very well the triple action🤷♂️🤷♂️
@RUPES4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question Cesar and thanks for watching. Your question sounds like a great subject for a future RUPES Replies video. However the very quick answer, so we don't leaving you hanging, is that the third action in a Triple-Action BigFoot Polisher is an internal gear-set that doubles the torque output and reduces top-end RPM by an equal amount. Many industrial environments require air tools yet prefer the constant finish that an electric tool produces, hence the Triple Action.

Could you run the pneumatic with a compressor that supports the psi but at a lower cfm, and just achieve a lower overall rpm potential? Say 5-7cfm and get half the speed leaving it roughly comparable to the electric if you don’t need that full 11k, or does it need that full continuous 11 can to function at all ?
@RUPES2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, that isn't the way it works. CFM volume of air, but also a rate of consumption. Turning tool speed down (flow rate) would allow you to run it longer, but eventually the tool outpaces the compressors ability to create air and you're left with a very ineffective speed. Also, keep in mind that air tools are high speed, but low torque, so while the free-air speed of the LHR75 pneumatic is up to 11,000 opm, a significant amount of that speed is lost when it is applied to the panel.

@@RUPES I really appreciate the reply and kinda figured it was wishful thinking after doing a bit more research lol. It’s hard to find a lot of documented experience with this, so at least now anyone else who’s hoping they can get away with even their mid tier compressor will hopefully stumble across this response (and too have crushed dreams haha). While not necessary for my application, the thought/idea/cool factor of pneumatic tools was super alluring, now I know if I want to play with the coolest toys I’ll have to pony up for a big boy compressor, I’ve spent money on worse things so who knows….thanks again !

Is a rotary polisher better at cutting or finishing? Also, is it hard to use, or is that a misconception?
@RUPES4 жыл бұрын
Rotary will always be the fastest tool for cutting, however it nearly alway requires multiple follow up steps to refine. It can take years to master rotary techniques.

Does the lhr75e have a variable trigger or is it an off/on switch?
@RUPES3 жыл бұрын
The LHR75E has a on/off switch and a variable speed dial on the bottom. The logic for this is tied largely to applications where the tool is used. Often times on lower rocker panels, or tight spaces where the tool is most commonly used, it would be difficult to pull a trigger. The on/off switch on the top makes it easy to activate the tool and keep it running, even if you have to operate it one handed or with an unusual hand position.
