You can laminate photos, seal it with modge podge, any spray sealant will work, or u can use clear nail polish (I prefer fast dry top coat). It truly is best to seal photos used in resin as over time resin can dull out photos. It does not matter what paper they are printed on as long as they are properly sealed. I would never not seal a photo that's just asking for future fading. Anyway just trying to be helpful. Loved the vid!

Tanja sounds like she was so loved and such a delight - I know she'll be missed - my condolences Nadia. 🙏💞 This was a very helpful video - I recently did a photo as a requested memorial keepsake (I asked them to have the photo laminated - since they had one, prior to my placing it in resin - for fear of ruining the photo). Although it turned out well, your process is such a better option with the gloss varnish! I let the photo cure in clear resin, then did the remainder backing resin (such as how you did with glitter resin).

@LiaDiaDesigns6 ай бұрын
It can take a little practice to not get bubbles under the pic, but if you want a guaranteed way to get them perfect every time, you can fill the heart almost 3/4 of the way, let that cure, then later coat the picture with a bit of resin and place on the cured heart in the mold. You may also then add a bit more resin to the mold to finish filling the heart. Hope this helps!

Everyone does it a bit different, depending on how many they are making. For me, I don't usually want to spend more than a couple minutes making these, as i don't sell them, so I do it all at in one go. But, those who make these to sell usually do 2 stages, first is to fill the hearts halfway with clear resin, then let cure fully or almost fully. Then the second step is placing the photo (with a little resin) and then filling the rest of the heart. This is the most fool-proof way to avoid issues with bubbles etc. Hope this helps!
