And remember, even if you can't even spend 1$ on any skin products because you're poor, but you care enough about your skin, exercise to sweat toxins out, shower to wash them away, eat good food and drink lots of water! It'll help regulate hormones, and balance all the systems that work for your skin to give you clear, beautiful skin! You either spend money or effort, you just gotta decide how important it is to you!

most likely genetics, man. i know people who dont give a fuck about skincare, dont even know what a moisturizer is, but have smooth and even skin. and then there's me with my acne and hyperpigmentation even though i double cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate, protect. my skin is getting better but it's never going to be like those people. it's in my blood, my other family members have similar skin issues.

Don't know why this is...I just am never going to have nice looking skin no matter what I try and do. You either have good looking skin or you don't, sadly that's all I can come up with. And yes spf just makes skin look crap.!

My skin has gotten so much clearer over the past month ever since I've started drinking 1-2 matcha teas a day~ I really recommend anyone who reads this to try having matcha (or just regular green tea) regularly:) I personally find green tea quite bitter therefore I add a tea spoon of honey which makes it sweet, so I like the taste. However, since I've been drinking it everyday I have gotten used to the taste and, for me, it is no longer as bitter and I really enjoy it
@kayhere88637 жыл бұрын
Wow I gotta try this 😊 Thank you
@yyvette7 жыл бұрын
Wonpil is so cute - When making green tea, add the water to your tea at 70 - 80 °C, well below boiling point. It won't taste bitter this way :) Boiling hot water extracts the bitter elements (tannins) from the leaves.
@wellwell74297 жыл бұрын
I don't know much about tea but I asked a person in the shop to give me high quality green tea. She gave me better and worse examples to smell, the best one smelled the most gentle. And the taste is really pleasant, I can't live without sweets, but this tea doesn't need sugar at all. So I recommend to buy high quality tea, to use hot but not boiling water like it's said above and to not leave tea leaves for too long in the water, because than bitterness comes out anyway.

Do you have any suggestions for getting rid of closed comedones? Sometimes I get these bumps on my skin that aren't so visible if I'm looking at myself in the mirror but they become apparent in pictures. Since they're under the skin, I don't know any easy way to quickly remove them and they take forever to go away on their own. Even though I only get a few, I don't like how they affect my skin texture and I don't like that some areas of facial skin feel bumpy when I touch them. I'm only 15, and I'm a beginner from kbeauty makeup and skin care in general. However I can notice extremely large pores on my cheeks, it really confuses me because I'm normal to combo skin, my nose is the only thing will get really oily throughout the day but most people said that large pores can means that it's clogged or produce a lot of oil. Tbh, I have no idea why are those pores here and how to care for it (I use scrub, exfoliate mask and clay mask to deep clean the pores) because my cheeks seem TREMENDOUSLY sensitive like, I would put anything like sunscreen or mild cleanser (even water sometimes lol 😂) on my face and my cheeks will start to turn redder and redder (I have the usual redness around my cheeks too), sometimes I didn't even touch or did anything to my face but my cheeks start to itch and that's scared the heck outta me 😂 Can you guys please give me some advice ?

I live in the Philippines and I already accepted that my skin would have large pores because I live in a tropical country. When I travelled to Japan for 5 days, I noticed how my pores were minimized and it was all because of the climate and weather in Japan. So when I went back to the Philippines I lost all of those small pores and they were all enlarged by it. It's such a bummer when I find these tips very helpful but the weather where you live plays a HUGE factor.

It helped me a lot, it was all about bringing down the temperature of your skin and detoxifying it mainly with antioxydants (green tea, matcha) and aloe vera 🤗 also make sure you double cleanse your face at night with a balm or an oil followed by a gentle gel cleanser. I've seen really good results after using this technique. I used to skip the first step (oil cleanser) because i was not convinced by it but after reading about it, i realized that the oil pull out the gunk out of your pores making them clean. This way, my tiny bumps are slowly going away! Yay 🙌🏼 AHA/BHA can also help with your skin texture

(Hyperbole intended) do we have sun screen lotion that is exclusively for the face or do you think i realky need to change what i have? TIA for the reply! GB! :)

Hey Liah . . When I try to use Salicylic acid it causes huge cystic acne. People say purging is possible, but it causes huge painful cysts all over my face. I generally have acne with really few cystic acne, but salicylic acid causes a complete face of cystic acne. I want to manage my acne face, but is it possible that salicylic acid is causing a reaction? Or just purging?
@LiahYoo7 жыл бұрын
+Nikitha Namratha I think your skin is just reacting to it or maybe other ingredients in the product :( how long have you tried?!
@nikina-b2c7 жыл бұрын
I tried The ordinary Salicylic acid for a few days and I had to stop because new cystic acne appeared every day and nothing seemed to calm my skin down. So I had to stop it completely and it took me two weeks for my face to be not painful. I had a similar reaction to Murad Salicylic products.

Me and my mother had the same reaction to a salicylic acid by neutrogena that had great reviews, painful cystic acne. Years later I'm using BHA blackhead power liquid by cosrx and never had a reaction to it. Just reaped the benefits: less sebum, reduced pores. Skin care is so damn tricky lol

Hi Liah, Thanks for this video. As always you are so helpful! I was really in need of this video to explain my pores. A question though: I was looking through the recommendations you have suggested - Pond's Flawless White Day range (Niacinamide + 12HSA), does all those products in those range have Niacinamide+12HSA? If so, do we choose the one we think is right for us?

Hi Liah congrats on 300k subscribers!!! 🎈💖🎉 I'm addicted to all your videos and I've been binge watching your acne videos the past few days, I've learned so much from it. I use some of the products you've mentioned such as AHA/BHA and vitamin C. I started using these back in June and I see little improvement in healing my acne scars. If you don't mind I'll tell you my skin care routine. I use Aveeno clear complexion with 0.5% salicylic acid, I then use Peter Thomas Roth AHA/BHA acne clearing gel with 2% salicylic acid and 10% glycolic acid and with the last step I use 1 pump of Anew Vitamin C. I don't spread the vitamin C around my face, I use my index finger and lightly dab it on my dark acne scars. I've been doing this for a month, morning and night time, and I see little changes. I have oily skin and I breakout all over my face except my nose. I have mild acne, I have papules on the upper half of my chin and on my forehead. I also breakout when I have my period. If you have any input such as incorporating new products or stop using them into my skin care I would love that very much. Thank you so much for providing all those acne videos, I really appreciate it. 😭😭💖💖

Yesss great tips as usual!!! 🌴🌴Cleansing is so important but I feel like people don't do it properly, yet spend so much on skincare. Not just cleansing away makeup and dirt, but it's very important to take time to rinse off the cleansing oil AND the cleansing foam very well too.
@AudreyNataliaKosmar7 жыл бұрын
donut i use micellar water and rinse it with thermal sprinh water spray
@rabiaabdkhank78297 жыл бұрын
donut how do you rinse off the cleansing oil and foam.After my cleansing oil(argan oil) I just wash it off with water and than use my foam that pretty much rinses my oil off.And theb again I just rinse the foam off with water .Is it right?
@donuts8337 жыл бұрын
Xghsz hier yes you are right! I don't mean the method, but I mean taking the _time_ to rinse them off mindfully instead of just routinely quickly rinsing them off. Trace residue of any makeup/oil/foam is not good. Some ingredients in cleansing foam may be comedogenic but helps with foaming/cleansing so it's good to take time to foam them up and rinse off them off without residue. That's why some cleansing foam specifically tell you to just use a pea sized amount. Too much can be hard to foam up and rinse off. Cleansing oil should also be applied with dry hands as water on your hands may emulsify the oil even before it gets on your face. Just small details people may overlook :) I think it's great Liah pointed out the importance of properly cleansing off makeup because most people care more about applying skincare products than cleansing. :)

I wash my face with as much attention as how I would wash my hands if they were dirty. When I started spending a good minute or two just thoroughly cleaning with water (versus just splashing with water) I noticed a difference in my amount of acne/closed comedones.

I bought some skincare products recently and my skin texture and pores started looking worse now that I'm using them. My skin texture started to look kinda like the skin of a citrus fruit and the few minor fine lines that I have appear emphasized :( I don't know which of these products is the culprit. I didn't have this problem when I just used jojoba oil though. Which of these products can be causing this bad skin texture? I'm using a cleanser twice a day, a moisturizer at night, and a moisturizer with SPF during the day. Can you please help me figure this out because I'm really hating the way my skin is looking even though it's more moisturized than before? Thank you!

Hey liah💕 curious palmy here: is using bha only enough to exfoliate the skin? (My skin is quite sensitive and doesnt react well to most clay masks😫) Can I combine the bha with, say, a mild peeling gel or a scrub or will that (probably) be too much for my skin? Luv ur vids💕🌴🌴
@sehunslines7 жыл бұрын
Not Liah (sorry 😂) but gonna speak from personal experience. I have combo-dry/sensitive skin. Most clay masks I tried didn't really work for me either, until I tried the Innisfree Jeju Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask. That stuff is da bomb! I tried to combine BHA (COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid) with a peeling/scrub (Dr. Pierre Ricaud Derma Ecolia Clay Peeling). At first my skin started clearing up and looked really smooth so I was happy and included these steps in my routine (didn't do it daily tho, only once or twice a week). But not too long after my skin started feeling dehydrated, tight, slightly irritated and it looked dewy/shiny without moisture. That's how I realized that I was actually over-exfoliating so I stopped. So long story short, I'm no expert but I think that chemical exfoliation (BHA/AHA) + mechanical exfoliation (scrubs etc) might be a bit too much for our sensitive skin. Listen to your skin and do what's best for it, I hope it helped somehow 😊

Sehun needs more lines 'till the sundown OMG I havr the same skintype and I had the exact same experience with the Innisfree clay mask😮 at first it worked wonderfully, but after like 2 months I began to experience breakouts and a overly dehydrated skin:/ Thank you for responding and your recommendation, I think I might try the bha out, since I've previously had good experience with the cosrx pimple pads🤗 May I ask you if you've tried the cosrx aha out and if it worked out well for you?
@sehunslines7 жыл бұрын
mina linium Yaaaaayy omg we're skin twins! 😂 Well ngl I did experience slight dehydration at some point with the Innisfree clay mask but it was because I was using it too often, but when I use it sporadically it's wonderful! The COSRX BHA is quite mild I guess, I've never experienced any irritation/breakouts with it- I just find it a bit drying, especially on the drier areas of my face but that's my only complaint so yep, go for it! 👊 And I might try the pad then 😊 I did try the AHA, only once since it was a sample but I didn't really like it, a few minutes after putting it on my face I felt a stinging sensation that was quite uncomfortable and I'm pretty sure that it's not normal haha

Hi Dr. Yoo! I have a question, can I use natural and chemical acne agents at the same time? I've been using honey on my skin for almost 4 months now and it made my skin pimple free. I use wet tea leaves also for exfoliation and it really works for me. And, currently, I'm using aloe vera extract that is made in Korea to make my pimple marks gone. I wanted to fasten the process of making my skin pimple mark free already but I'm kind of scared? Cuz what if I grow more pimples because of it or what-so-ever. Plsssss Dr. Yoo, I need your help!!!
