From a fellow Aussie, thanks for your break down of this incredible song from my favourite artist MJ. To hear all the instrumental and vocal stems in detail is such a joy. So many unique and ethnic sounds within this song plus Michael's vocal layers, such a shame it was never performed live.

I really wish I had the full layers of those vocals! Would have been a much longer video though! Haha thanks for watching! Don’t forget to sun and share ;) (shameless self promotion over here haha )

Listening to his isolated vocals always gives me goosebumps but this one..... DAMN! Full body chills! It's just insane... I love how right after 36:16 , he hits that high note and goes "ehhh" he wasn't pleased with that run 😂. Always a perfectionist. This is one of my favorite "slow songs" from MJ. I also love Stanger in Moscow. Idk if you've done that one yet, but I'd love to hear you break that down if possible! I love hearing all of the instrumentation and layers. I always walk away from one of your videos hearing something I never heard before. 💜💜

Thanks so much Bree! I haven’t done stranger in Moscow yet! I’ll try and find it and maybe fit it into the next lot of videos I’m about to hit 100 days of consecutive uploads and I’m having a rest for a bit after that haha. Please continue to enjoy them and I’ll always be looking out for your comments so keep dropping your thoughts here! :) thanks for taking the time to comment!

Michael Jackson was a genius! the song is good but the instrumental is out of this world. how did he come up with this wow it's like a pirate ☠/Egypt feel . love it, great reaction

It’s Latin inspired, the sitar, angelic choir like synths, and the sexy ass beat, it’s just heaven to my ears, it’s one of his most unique songs along with speed demon

@@bigboychungas4033 Agree, and funnily enough you can hear the outro of Speed Demon phase into the beginning of Liberian Girl on the album version

I am a big fan of MJ since 91 when he released Dangerous album I was 13 years old and I had the luck to assist at his Tour in Paris in 92 for The Dangerous World Tour. My favorite song is Who Is It and Liberian Girl is my second one😉

The drum samples are custom Linn 9000, and the bass is most likely Synclavier with a DX7 sound layered in on the bass.

If you’re wondering who Paulinho is, it’s Paulinho Da Costa, master percussionist who has worked with Michael Jackson numerous times as well as Quincy Jones, Earth, Wind, and Fire and thousands of other singers, songwriters, and musicians. He is the most demanded studio percussionist ever.

what program(s) is this?
@luffegun2 жыл бұрын
Just ‘Logic’ man. It’s normally for recording and producing music but I’m literally just using it as a playback machine in this series. It doesn’t seperate the music I get the files that way mostly they’re the original files from the recording session. I can’t share my sources unfortunately due to risk of misuse.

can you NOT sing when playing the harmonies plsss
@luffegun2 жыл бұрын
I cant outright reproduce/replay someone else work on this channel without altering it in some way to make this my own original content. Otherwise i am stealing it. so, people are coming here for my reaction to this song and its tracks and not the individual tracks themselves You will have to find them and listen to them on their own. (if i can do it you can too i believe in you) I'm so sorry if you didn't enjoy watching this as much as i enjoyed making it. thanks for commenting anyway Anna Maria Monta.

I liked the singing because ol mate here was figuring out and breaking down all the harmonies for us viewers to hear since there weren't stems for that particular part of the song
