✨🙂↕️ tellin you about all the cesarean sections I did this week! I also have a solid sit-down segment where I share my secrets to powering through obstacles in life and growing from them. Then I share some little easy recipes and show my leg day at the gym!

As a medical student I actually love so much that you complain because it goes against the constant normalization/glamorization of horrendous work hours and work environments that we are just expected to be okay with! Thank you so much for these videos, they make me feel like I'm not crazy for seeing how incredibly challenging this process of becoming a doctor is.

Don't listen to those people who say you complain to much I bet they complain at some time about working an 8 hour shift 5 days a week. What I love about your vlogs is your honesty and how you keep it real! You have done that throughout your entire medical school journey and now in residency. Keep on keeping it real!! 💕

Hi Rachel, I'm so glad that you are feeling more confidence with the C-sections and it just goes to prove that your body and mind are in total alignment at those exact moments when a procedure requires extreme mental clarity. I hope you are able to catch up on some sleep before your next shift, I really don't know how you manage it. Sending much love, support and restfulness.

Hi Rachel 👋 thanks for your videos. I am in no way involved in the medical field😂 but I love to see this side of a medical professional maybe because I have always wanted to be a nurse and we've experienced many medical emergencies in our lives and just truly appreciate you all. I think i watch your content also because you motivate me to reach my goals and not give up. I just got my life agent license and in the middle of a fitness challenge. I kept pushing thru with you in mind cheering me on. Thank you lots for the encouragement. 💕

Hey Rachel....I know I posted about this before on your other video, but that imposter syndrome video you posted last year in May, is something I keep rewatching BECAUSE I'm getting ready for residency! Seeing your most recent video offers hope! It's a scary place to be in full of excitement and nervousness...the unknown is definitely kicking in! But it's good to see that a year from now you were where I am now, and currently you are where I would like to be next year! I know you are tired, but keep going...you're growing professionally and it's truly INSPIRING!

Aww, this is kind of sad to read. It's true that residency is rough, but I think Rachel has been her same resilient self. Of course she has changed but it's not in a negative way. I've seen her build confidence which has been lovely to watch. She is becoming a stronger person everyday and she is an incredible OBGYN already :)

Love your videos Rachel! They keep me motivated when I'm feeling blegh about nursing school. So many people try to warn me about the doctors I'll end up working with, but I'm excited to be surrounded by people who care about what they do, especially if they're even half as passionate as you are! Seeing how deeply you feel for your field is such a lovely reminder that I'm on the right path and I can't wait to be a great nurse :)

I loved this vlog so much ! I loved how you edited it, the way you did your shots, the aesthetic of it all ✨ I also loved that you filmed little bits that you wouldn’t necessarily film before like all the home bits ☺️ Do you have more restrictions about filming at the hospital now ? I know a lot of hospitals are imposing that now even if you’re just filming yourself 😅 But anyway, absolutely loved this vlog and the segment about overcoming obstacles 🥰

Hi Rachel. I know your job is very important, intense at times and stressful sometimes too, but I was thinking maybe you should have a check up and blood tests done. You could be low in your vitamin D and vitamin B’s. I have heard doctors are the worst at being a patient, but not sure if it is really true. lol. Just concerned about the fatigue you are experiencing. You do have a demanding schedule. I am very impressed with your dedication and perseverance. Thanks for the videos. Wishing you the best!

This might be a stupid question and forgive me if you have already made a video on this topic, but how the heck do you go about getting shadowing opportunities as a pre med? You mentioned towards the beginning that you shadowed a cardiothoracic surgeon as a pre med. Do you just email these people? Call their office? I’m a non-trad at the very beginning stages of this whole journey and I’d love to get some shadowing time in to solidify my decision. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you!!!

When you do a c-section do you remove the placenta through the incision or do you allow it to deliver vaginally?
