What you could do differently than what designers are doing in Japan, is making your hoodies and t-shirts more size inclusive. I know Japanese sizes run a lot smaller than the states so something for the smalls and the plus size girlies would be so nice! & Japanese youth tend to like loose fit, baggier sizing anyways.

Welcome back Ryan!!!!!!!!! Don’t sleep on YT. We are 1000% supporters! Also, do a survey show both examples and ask people to choose and create based on the biggest interest. Also, choose a place where you don’t have to pay upfront but it’s based on sales and then they give you a portion of sales. Good luck!

I was hoping you would post this weekend. For branding, think about what your mission in life is, exploring, learning, fashion, style, certainly something related to your time living in Japan and the world. Something that would symbolize or encourage others to break out of their shell, take the risks - as you have - and make the most of our time in the world. I am old enough to be your grandfather, and still find myself wondering about the future, don't let that get you down, go forth and be bold. You will never be the same as those who never left home to find their place in the world. Brand yourself as you are.

One thing older people have said is in their 20's they felt like they were running out of time. I feel that too right now. It causes so much worry and it's mostly unnecessary. But knowing people who were our age got over it rushing towards an invisible deadline for certain goals. We gonna be alright.

ive been a fan or urs for a while so i understand that youve been wanting to create a fashion label for a while and im happy to see u progressing with that! my take specifically as a fashion design major and as a fan- is this brand is rlly abt u so make it true to u. of course listen to the insight of fans when it comes to sizing, quality, etc. but we all gathered here bc we like u and ur content so to create a label that is true to u and ur life which would be great imo especially since its also the type of influencer u r. to elaborate basically look over ur own style and translate it to ur brand; textures, silhouettes, motifs and even ur life/lifestyle. its fine if u never see this but i hope it helps!

I totally relate with you on being anxious for the future. Though for me, I'm currently 23 and I still yet to finish my associate degree in a community college I've been attending for the past 5 years. I feel a great sense of shame about that because I feel like I'm so behind in life and all that and I do recognize that I kind am the one to blame. I also really struggled with decaying mental health this past year and it only made things worse, but those are all beside the point. I relate to you when you talked about not being comfortable with the idea of living a 9-5 basically. I kind of got tired of being in school, but I still went even though I wasn't doing that well. I kind of felt stuck for a while because I didn't really know what I wanted to do as my "Day Job" besides writing because I really just want to be a writer, but I also want something to fall back on etc. Life is hard and we don't really know the outcomes of it at all which makes it even scarier. We all just want to be happy without really recognizing that we are if you know what I mean. I'm really proud of you and I hope you have even more success in life with all of your personal endeavors etc. ( I know you will lol.) As for me. You might just see my name on a book or a movie on the bestselling, Nobel prize winning, Acadamy award winning tier list or something lol. Anyways, I hope you have a good day Ryan and whoever is reading this and so on ❣

I know it’s really scary not knowing what the future holds, but as someone who graduated from University and is now working full time (in a different country!), it’s okay to not know! Embrace life as it comes - you really don’t know what’s around the corner, and it seems like there’s so many opportunities for you in Japan! Stay focused on the positives and things will hopefully work out x

ryan!! I can't express enough how much i feel like i'm not alone when I watch your videos! the anxieties you described around the future, work/stability, school, all hit so close to home. i'm still in high school, but the thought about my future and not making it to where I want to get to is one of my biggest fears. i have so many goals, dreams and passions, but the weight of everything in my life makes it feel like the things i want might never happen, or like im losing too much time. I feel like when you speak about these things with the camera i'm having a chat to a close friend who really understands me, and it's super comforting. to know that things are tough for you, but you still manage to do so much genuinely gives me hope!! oh and, suuuper excited for your clothing brand!! :)

to help with finding good outfits that you are comfortable with, I 100% recommend finding solid outfits that you like and feel comfortable and rewear them and repeat them, you don’t have to find something new to wear everyday as long as you have a couple fits that are solid and comfortable that’s all that matters, one day just mess around and have fun with your closet, if there’s a shirt and pant that you like to pare together make that an outfit and wear it when you don’t know what to wear, one you know you definitely like it and two you know you feel comfortable in it, i hope this helps🤍

Also, the outfit rant SAME. Your amazing Ryan Crouse, we all support and love you for you!! I hope you can breathe and not let stress get to you. omg i cannot believe im writing another comment. but i kept watching the video and your story about how are you worried about your future made me think: in a different way than i anticipated. you said that youre finally with a job you love doing, that you dreamed of doing your whole life, that most people want to do, and youre worried about not being able to do it at some point in your life. but what if you will start liking doing other things? first of all, everything becomes boring at some point. travels, content creating, all these fun stuff you love now - if in excess, will become a tiresome, or at least boring. as they say, if you travel a lot, you suddenly dream of home. its the same as with take out food - once you eat it often for a few years, you suddenly start to want a home-cooked meal. and i thought about it, because i find myself - at the age of 27 - suddenly shocked to see how in a span of a year, my interest/goals have changed. yeah, i still love travelling and cafe-hopping, but suddenly im into bird watching (lord....), small businesses, snail-mail, niche stuff instead of the latest trends; i began cooking at home, and to my horror, i began asking my grandma about the kind of trees she has in her garden. i fucking hated plants all my life. so, yeah. maybe dont worry about losing something at some point, because at that point in time, you may not even want it anymore? :> just a thought, of course! please take care and your videos help me destress a lot. big hugs

Anxiety is a crippling thing but I think you are doing one of the most successful things to combat it - talking about the issues out loud. It doesn't matter if you talk out loud to a friend, to us or to an empty room. So often the solutions become so much more obvious when you actually hear the problem rather than just think about it.

Sounds like you have a bit of decision paralysis going on. When you aim for perfection, it can make it hard to choose. Here's what I suggest: focus on your ultimate goal (to have a clothing line) and remind yourself that it's alright if you don't choose the absolute best option for your first piece right now. Sometimes it's more important to keep moving forward. No matter what choice you make, it might not be perfect, but moving forward will aid in your growth and boost your confidence, helping you achieve your dreams. You've got this!

I feel you about the future, when youre in your 20s,life feels like its on 2x its speed,I noticed that, whenever i look back at my past self(like 1 year before the present time)i feel like ive grown a lot. You have to think about the present time and do things that you normally wouldn't. Like u beginning to design your own brand is a huge move which could result into something way more big than u expect it to be,and if it doesnt, dont worry about it,before you know it,u found another thing to work on,do what YOU love, improve yourself at your own pace,no need to rush into things as it can result to burn outs. You are already growing at a steady pace. Getting therapy is another big factor that could help trough all of this, just the tiny bits can result into something big, every step matters when it comes to improving yourself. Pop off girl,u are doing great and we're here to support u

hi!! im only now watching your video, and i wanted to comment on the brand/hoodie thing. i am NO expert whatsoever, but i personally think you should create a piece you yourself would love to wear. there will be no perfect idea, never, because youre aiming for an unreachable - for your viewers to love it, and it's something you cannot plan, really. i would personally focus on your own ideas, your own style - your viewers watch your for your style and vibe after all! this way you're taking this preassure off your shoulders, and - also! - i think with every brand, the idea is to let it live on its own, potentially reach an audience that is not limited to your viewers. so, just do your own thing, and dont aim for perfect - 70% good is incredible already!! dont let perfectionism ruin the experience!!
