So good to hear from you! Missed hearing the latest these past few months but happy you're in the moment living your life, learning and growing. Interesting about Italy...going there for 1st time in Sept. and definite tourist pricing I'm discovering. Sorry to hear its been a tough nut to crack dating locals there. Sending you positive vibes and glad to see you finally got your card!

Cool to see in succession your video on looking for flats in Lisbon then follwed by this one. Wishing you luck on all ways especially the residence card. Im looking to make the same move, curious if the 183 day rule is true where you must stay in Portugal for at least that amount of time per year. Do you also know much about the subletting situation? Thank you so much for making videos about this stuff, much appreciated!

I hope you get your card soon! Regarding men, how about a few days in Copenhagen? Scandinavians are pretty chill. I’m sure someone cool would love to follow you back to sunny Portugal. I’m a straight chick, but that’s my plan. Hehe! I’ve only spent 3 weeks traveling around Portugal, and I’m planning my next trip back. I was surprised, but Portugal functions a bit like a friendly, kind, but developing country. It’s old world, but not fully 1st. There’s a charm and a frustration. They seem to have such well educated people, but the tax system is beast for them to work under. I think it destroys motivation, not just the easy climate and culture. On the other hand, if bureaucracy worked better, it wouldn’t be so easy to immigrate. I’ve really adored the Portuguese people I met, but I have been told they’re very hard to date. But, I know 2 people who are well partnered with Portuguese people. So, it’s not hopeless.

Hello, your experience in lisbon has been pretty enlightening to me as i would be moving to lisbon in August to study. the food will definitely be an issue because i am African and we love our spices. but ultimately i hope it is worth it.

Portuguese food us delicious and well seasoned. Choosing or discovering different types of cuisine won't be a problem either as there are Asian, South American, Arabic and African restaurants - you just have to explore or make Portuguese friends who know how to recommend restaurants that make real delicious food and not the trendy ones. I hope you enjoy your time here! 😊

Ty for making this video, quick question. Have you felt restricted by the residence visa, since you're not allowed to leave more than twice on the d8 ? I'm thinking of applying under the temporary stay (yearly renewal)

You can leave as many times as you want
@Ingrid_EverydayFilmmaker3 ай бұрын
@@AdrienField Well you can leave but if you fly out you need to fly back straight into Portugal rather than going through other EU countries or other countries, because I know people who left that were still waiting for their cards and they had difficulty with the other countries allowing them to pass through.

Bali became amercanised after that movie that ill never watch. I hope it goes back to the Indonesia it once was. It had more locals around with thier beautiful communal ceremonies. I live in another EU country, and there was an article in the news a few months ago that Portugal was at risk of being out of the EU because they are struggling to keep up with required EU regulations. I also know a lot of expats living there still waiting for their for cards over a year. SEF just collapsed then AIMA had to take over the process, and they said that they have over 500,000 - 700, 000 people backlogged. good luck though, hope yours come through soon.

Another immigrant so full of himself that calls himself Expat 😂😂😂
@DesignedInNola2 ай бұрын
He isn't white and he's moving to Europe so what's the problem? - Expat is the word for someone who makes enough money not to officially immigrate to countries and only spends short times in each country. 1 year or less. An immigrant is someone who starts the process of immigration and becoming a citizen. An expat has no intentions of ever becoming a citizen.

@@jeanlundi2141 I am an actual immigrant, I immigrated from Peru to America and got my citizenship. When I travel to Europe and have no plans to stay forever, I am an expat. That is the dictionary definition of an expat. Someone who is living abroad but with no plans of being naturalized.
