Reduce the intra-session fatigue by decreasing the work preceding the top set. Spot on! Bugez you should get some of reds for your heavy days. Consistent 2x25kg jumps for the first 3-4 sets, titrate up from there. Not as intense as 100lbs or 50k, but a solid intensity bump over 45lb/20kg.

Hi Eric, it's possible to snap your finger, I have tear my two tumbs while using bands. But it's rare, because it was due to my hyperlaxity. Both tumps get out of their joins with bands pressing on it. Keep the good work

I feel you brother. I have Thumb, finger, and lumbar hyperlaxity + hypermobility of my shoulder joint. My shoulders "dislocate" (which i use loosely because I can move them out of socket at will but it still hurts for days when it goes out without my knowledge) when I push press and used to come out of socket last year when I wrestled. Any way to deal with the thumbs? I've felt them try to pop out of their joints sometimes while lifting.

Russian weightlifters do that small millimetrical increase technique as well, but with a slight difference. The idea is you don't increase every time and you don't PR every time. Hit your 1RM, then train with your rep weight. After a week or however long your cycles are in your program, try to hit a new PR with 20% increments. Repeat.

Perfect timing for me to stumble across this video. I added it to my Eric b playlist last night as a must watch and today I made too big a jump for a PR and failed. Doing B method for just 3 weeks so can't wait to be at a place where I have more experience and have my own method of warms ups down. I think small bumps when getting closer to the PR is the way to go with longer rest times. P.S keep rambling, love it :)

Well, in kg plates we don't have that weight difference, because there are 20 kg plates and 10 kg plates. BUT simply slapping on more 10s instead of changing them for 20s might save some time and energy. Also we could use the 15 kg plates instead of 10s in the beginning of a warm-up and make some bigger jumps too. So the advice might apply, I have to try this, thanks Eric!

i did this with the bench machine, went from 70-75 Kgs For reps to 90, Because my mind would only give me 'x' amounts of sets, independently of the weight, and did this accidently in the bench press, when i loaded it incorrectly, or mistakenly put 2 15kgs plates, (because i know i bench 2 plates), bet were always 1x15 and 1x10kg plate. I benched two reps. And tought, wow i feel like it was harder than last week. After i finished i started making mental maths and noticed the 10kgs increase.

Eric.. i just stumbled upon your channel, and you are officially the coolest guy i know lmao, your mind set, numbers, personality, all of it. I have a couple questions though if you got time.. Im trying to increase my 40 time and vertical jump, so i have chosen to pursue the trap bar deadlift and then the power clean to transfer that strength, and keep it simple. im not squatting because i honestly just dont want the eccentric hypertrophy and mass that comes with, its personally not a good look on me and i think it slows me down athletically. My question is, do you only lift heavy with low volume every time, or do you sometimes incorporate volume? do you mainly focus on cns activity or a hypertrophy volumed approach? Can i trap bar deadlift heavy every day for good strength gains, or should i incorporate periods of rest like others say? and do you have any other methods other than food and rest to recover your cns? sorry thats alot..
@Caller8194
@Caller8194 2 жыл бұрын
you've got to be built pretty crazily to do heavy deads every day like The Boogs. if a big compound is a focus for you like bench, squat or deadlifts 2/3 times a week is good. for cleans, snatches etc you can do it more often as it is less eccentrically biased and recovery won't be as bad
