I was in NY for the holidays with my (now-ex) girlfriend like 5 years back and ran into Kyle. I didn’t want to bother him, but he saw us looking at him while shivering with our Starbucks coffees. He approached and saw that we were cold (we’re Floridians lol). malls are still popular in canada. its actually insane how crowded they are, i didnt remember malls being so packed when i was younger. Yorkdale, Eaton Center, Sherway, Square One, just riddled with people. i dont get why malls are dead in america tho?

Malls were largely places for kids/teens in the 90's, but now everything in them is too expensive for teens (they only go there to hang out, which usually means they get chased away eventually) and instead the malls now only cater to adults, who don't have the time or interest to go. Edit: Also many are only accessible via car and that means only 16 year olds and up can get themselves there (as you would to see your friends in high school)
